The teachers at this school deserve a 10, firstly. My child has learned so much in the single year theyve been here and Ive developed a strong communicative relationship with their teacher. That being said, the Principal is so irresponsible and I am disappointed in the administrations planning skills. My child was supposed to be on a field trip scheduled to leave the school by 7am. I dropped them off at 6:45 and I found out that they didnt leave until around 9am to this field trip. Not only that, but we were told that the kids sat on a bus for 2 hours for this field trip and they werent allowed to have their regularly scheduled snack. Its frustrating that I expect my child to be where theyre supposed to be when theyre supposed to be there and the administration couldnt even get that right. I couldve let my child sleep in but had to wake them up early just for them to wait. Irresponsible, Im unhappy about it, and I warn people to know that the principal here is incompetent. This is one of many examples Ive encountered since we chose this school and I hope this serves as a warning to others.

Horrible School!! I came from a sister school of Riversprings. I was excited to hear that they had another program close to where we relocated. After a lot of missed calls and voicemails about a possible tour of the school. I finally was able to go, only after the principal reached out to me. After the run around the front office gave me I was more than happy to meet with someone who took the time to get me in,even though it was not their usual tour days. However, after two weeks of trying to enroll my daughter Ive given up and am happy to go to another charter school in the area. One that does not have drug addicts, gun problems and gangs hanging around. I submitted proof of residency yet charter schools dont usually make a big deal out of it, because its not a zoning issue. They decided I needed two forms of residency even though the sister school does not, not even the public school I had enrolled my daughter into needed TWO forms. My rental happens to include all utilities, so even though I gave a rental agreement it was not enough. I asked for anything else other than utility mail, and they said maybe a DMV drivers license. I have only been at this address less than two weeks, I hadnt had an opportunity to go. Plus it would take almost 2-4 weeks to get a new license! The girl at the front office in Indio wasnt helpful at all and the lady Barbara from Orange County was even less helpful. They were both rude and wouldnt help at all. I asked repeatedly why two proofs of residency were suddenly needed when I was told one, and why it was such a big deal considering its a charter school! Even if I chose to drive from Blyth it wouldnt have mattered. For whatever reason, they decided my daughter wasnt welcome at their school in the ghetto. Maybe because they wont be getting federal grants because we arent on welfare or homeless. After talking with a fellow principle friend of mine, shes sure thats why. So keep your ghetto school. And make sure you and your children bring bullet proof vests so you dont get shot!
