I was a bit nervous when our son started at Cadence at 3 months old, but the friendly, caring staff made me feel comfortable immediately. Now Im just a bit jealous when he eagerly jumps from my arms to the teachers each morning. I love that there is a new themed lesson plan each week, even for the infants, and I look forward to receiving pictures and updates throughout the day. Would definitely recommend Cadence in Iowa City.

The staff truly cares about the kids. My son has been going here for 4 years, and every teacher and the directors have been wonderful. His former teachers all remember his name and chat with him and us in the hall even years after he’s left their room.

Cadence Academy truly goes above and beyond. All of the staff are kind and understanding. The atmosphere is relaxed and really feels like a home away from home! Not to mention the curriculum is phenomenal. My child has blossomed from being shy and nervous into a confident and well rounded little person. We love Cadence Academy!

We have been so pleased with the quality of care that Cadence Academy has provided for our toddler over the past two years! The teachers are kind and attentive, and we always receive frequent and detailed feedback about his day. When we sent him back after COVID, we felt secure in how seriously the staff and Ms. Jean were taking issues of safety, which was an important component of our decision to send him back. Our son is thriving in the Cadence environment, and he loves it so much that even after spending all day at school, he comes home and makes us pretend to be Ms. Jean and his teachers all evening. :-) Highly recommend.

My family loves Cadence and their staff. My two children have attended cadence for over two years and we are more than satisfied with the level of care! The teachers and staff are wonderful and the facilities are maintained to high standards. My children are excited to go to school every day!

Our son has attended Cadence since he was 6 months old. He is now 4 years old, and his baby brother will be joining him in a few months. We depend on Cadence and know some of the staff/teachers as almost family members.

Cadence Academy is a wonderful Preschool for all toddlers and infants. Their COVID-19 process is effective and also efficient. As parents, even though we have not physically entered or seen the facility/classrooms (because our child started during the pandemic), their daily notices with pictures assures us our little one is safe, learning and having fun. Added bonus is Jeans warmth when receiving and dropping the kids off. Thank you for all you do.

We absolutely loved attending Cadence. From the teachers to the kids and parents, they are our family. The curriculum that they have and the teachers who teach the kids are simply amazing. Im always shocked how much he learns each day. Highly recommend going to Cadence!

We have loved our experience with Cadence Academy!! The staff is professional and caring, and the facility is clean and organized. I love the weekly lesson plans and know my son is learning a lot. I am very pleased with both the education and playtime activities. Additionally, my son has many food allergies and they do a great job accommodating him and making me feel safe when he is there.

We were in a childcare pinch. Start of school year, original plans fell through, etc. We asked our closest friends if where they took their son had any openings. The friends immediately got us in contact with Jean and things progressed from there.We had our 8 month old and 5 year old signed up for daycare and private Kindergarten by the end of the day.Since then, Cadence has exceeded our (sometimes over the top) expectations. We didn’t think that any care provider would be able to meet our expectations on Covid prevention measures (my wife and I are high risk), but Cadence found a way to not only meet, but exceed our expectations.On top of that, our kids are just so happy.Every day they come home in great spirits, with our 5 year old telling stories of his “amazing day”.I really can’t overstate what an impact going to cadence has had on our 5 year old in particular. He is a very social kid and Covid social distancing really affected him adversely. Since starting at cadence, we have our regular effervescent charming son back and we are SO grateful!Thank you Cadence for helping our family navigate this tough time with care and understanding. Cannot speak highly enough of the gift you have given our family.

Our daughter has been going to the Cadence Academy preschool for about a month and we are very happy. Everybody is extremely nice and thoughtful and our daughter loves to go to school!

We have loved sending our kids to Cadence, and have been going for 3 years. The teachers and staff truly care about our kids. They have been stimulated with education and social interaction. Lesson plans every week keep the kids engaged and activities are different every day. They offer a well balanced meal plan. They keep the school clean and have appropriate policies to keep kids safe, yet they are accommodating to parents requests when able. To us, it is worth the cost. 5/5 would recommend!

As first time parents we didn’t know what to expect from a child care center but Cadence (formerly Apple Tree) has been amazing! I feel that our baby is very well cared for, and we are kept in communication with updates via the app throughout the day. The curriculum exposes him to so many more books and activities than we ever could at home and I feel that socializing with other babies near his age has been wonderful for his development.

My boy attended Cadence Academy from the age of 7 weeks until 4 years old. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers that work there. They had lesson plans each week to include subjects on recycling, dinosaurs, geology, pool safety, and bugs just to name a few. All of these lessons were age appropriate and had multiple activities for the kids to participate in each week. There is a good amount of structured time to learn the lessons as well as free time to play.The school has a morning and an afternoon out door play time (weather dependent) in a sheltered area. There are two rather large pieces of equipment for the kids to play on as well as balls, trikes, blocks and other out door play equipment.I can’t say enough good things about the school as a whole. If we were not moving to a different state my son would continue to attend Cadence Academy.

The staff at Cadence are welcoming. They are open and positive. We enjoy the activities and daily experiences our child has with classmates and teachers.

I cannot say enough about Cadency Academy (formally Apple Tree). All of the staff we have worked with so far have been outstanding. The newborn room has been a terrific experience. The teachers have great attitudes and come up with creative experiences for the kids.

Our child has truly been enjoying Cadence and we feel very comfortable with their welcoming staff. Great team of care providers and fun activities for our little toddler!

Several friends recommended Cadence Academy and they were right!!!, this is our first week at Cadence and everyone has been great!!! Children is happy and having fun. Thanks to everybody at Cadence.

We have been at Cadence for just about 1 year and we absolutely love the place starting with the director and staff and how the place is runvery clean and organized and every one cares about our kidsi will recommend this place to any one is looking for a safe place for their kidswe are luck that we found Cadence

Everybody has been so warm and welcoming as we began this new step in our lives. Our daughter is always smiling when we pick her up and it makes me happy to see her reach out to hug her teachers before we leave. Im confident she is well taken care of and learning a lot during the day. Cadence is wonderful! We appreciate the attentiveness to detail and the learning environment fostered at Cadence.

Excellent staff with good knowledge and patience. Our child seems to be well occupied while there with small projects and activities every day.One thing that is lacking is good food. There are some fresh fruits and vegetables but much of the food is processed or out of cans. They still meet the state standards, but of course those are sorely lacking. If you want your child to eat healthy you will need to pack food for them.

My 4 year old son has attended Apple Tree full time since he was 10 weeks old. He still loves it all and they really emphasize learning, discovery, and interpersonal skills. He will be in great shape when he starts kindergarden a year from now. Some of the biggest advantages with Apple Tree are: long hours (630-6pm), full or part time attendance, meals/snacks served, regulated nap times, great teachers who have been there for a long time, and lots of activities in each different room, geared to the class - about 8 classrooms for newborns through second year of preschool. Also the location in downtown IC is very convenient for those working nearby. I highly recommend it for daily childcare.

I cannot say enough about the high quality care and education my children receive every day at Apple Tree. The teachers are compassionate, creative, and motivated. My children look forward to seeing their friends and teachers each morning.
