Unless you don’t have ANYTHING to do. Don’t go here. They say that they care about patient’s time, but my lay two appointments I was waiting in the waiting room for almost an hour after my scheduled appointment. That is ridiculous. I am now looking for a new doctor. I would give negative stars but I can’t.

Everyone is friendly, and courteous and everything is kept very clean. The wait times are very short ( under 10 minutes).

Quality care, doctors and nurses who want whats best for you.

University of Iowa Family Medicine is top notch care. They have a robust staff with a wealth of knowledge and experience. People from all over the state of Iowa come to Family Med at the U because theyre the best. Highly recommend.

Just a bad experience after the fact, the scope of my appointment went fine but customer service after was horrible. I had an error with prescriptions being sent out and the pharmacy never receiving them when reaching someone to correct this error has taken now over a full week with myself mainly leaving unanswered voicemails. I went in today for a lab appointment and stopped by the family care desk to pretty much no avail. More phone calls still no scripts being sent out calling multiple pharmacies and leaving multiple voicemails, when I finally got ahold of the nurse they told me it will be another 5-7 days and that REFILLS should be taken care of in advance. Each of the medications were newly prescribed to me and the condescending tone I got from the nurse making it seem like it was my fault I didnt put in a REFILL on a brand new order sooner put me over the top. Horrible experience that after a week has still not come any closer to being resolved. Do better UIHC.
