We moved to California from the east coast a couple of year ago and New Horizon was a major part of the decision to make the move. My daughter and son love the school and feel right at home. The staff and faculty are among the best weve seen. The Blue Ribbon recognition solidified our feelings about this. Through the school we became integrated with the most amazing people and community. We are truly blessed to have found an independent Islamic school that is established and shares the same values. We are so happy that we made the decision to make the move!

Going to New Horizon is one of the best experience I have ever had. I go to MYC2 and it is a great safe place to socialize and hang out with Muslim friends. I have never had an issue with this particular school. It is amazing! There are kids of all ages. The teachers and supervisors are extremely friendly and understanding. New Horizon is a very child-friendly place.

I have my two girls in this school and this is the 5th year weve been here. Every year we love this school more: it has become our family and a second home for my kids! They enrich the children holistically, making sure that they reach their best academic potential while caring about their character growth as well. I love the leader in me program that the school has adopted and every time my girls proactively find solutions for conflicts at home, searching for the win win and putting first things first I appreciate the school even more! This school is very special.

I have worked at New Horizon School in Irvine for over a year and have loved every minute of it! It is so refreshing to work with a team of people that genuinely love their job, and truly care about their colleagues, students and New Horizon parents! I believe the passion for educating students shines through in each and every person that works here. I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing family~

Eight years ago, and by the will of God, my family and I have been blessed by being embraced with a unique lifetime experience called New Horizon. I call it destiny, I call it wisdom, I call it home, and I call it family. As a mother and teacher at the school, I believe that New Horizon is this one special spark that hits you once in your life, glows your sky, and leaves you with nothing but great impact!

New Horizon is my second home, its a place where I spent half my life, its a place that is filled with happy, familiar, faces, that when I see, I know Im about to have an amazing time! My favorite part about New Horizon is the people. Since everyone is Muslim Im surrounded by many good people who I can have fun with, and will be a good influence for me.

New Horizon is an awesome place. I have gone to school at New Horizon and I have been to MYC which is an after school youth group. I have also been to many Eid carnivals at New Horizon. I have had many amazing experiences at New Horizon. During my time going to school at New Horizon I made many New Muslim friends and I got to meet people that had the same traits as me. In the end I would recommend everyone to have some sort of interaction with New Horizon.

My son and daughter were in this school for a year and a half. I waited for 8 months to allow my anger against the school resolve, and see how my children would do in the new school in order to write a fair review for this school. In brief: we had a very bad experience with this specific school, I would point few things: 1- school has no discipline education, many of their children are left to do what they like, bullies are allowed and tolerated to the maximum extent. School administration is very helpless in this regard, they will not listen to you, when they are put on the spot and faced with facts they would lie and deny many things took place at their school and they admitted before. I found it very offensive and unreasonable for teachers to blame my child for being too nice with others. 2. poor education curriculum, high turn-over in their teachers, and weak follow up on homework. 3. very poor Arabic teaching (the hours were cut down repeatedly during the 18 months stay of my kids, they actually lost some skills they already had prior to joining this school).They both were gifted and talented from an out of state school, they had terrible year at New Horizon Irvine- it was a set back for both of them. when mover to Minaret Academy they had to catch up on multiple subjects when moved to the new school, now (8 months after leaving New Horizon) they appreciate the new school much more and are happier. The new school does not tolerate bullies, they will send them home and will not tolerate them. Opposite to NH; I now see my children coming from the new school with smiling faces and minimal or no complaints at all, they both enjoy their new school much more and we feel they are getting more education and learning new things.We personally as parents were in touch with administration of the (New Horizon) school for multiple issues related to education, behavior of some children at school, curriculum ..etc we found them very helpless. The school cares about money and tuition, they will tolerate (any behavior) to keep kids in their school as long as they pay them.The year and a half my kids stayed at the school was just a prescription for depression, they now look at it as a bad history... our experience was also shared by other families, at least 2 friends that we know of also moved their children for similar reasons.I would not recommend this school to my friends. I believe they need lots of improvements.Although I have not seen myself, but I was told by local community residents that this school was not like this few years ago.

New Horizon was a great school for me growing up and it helped me through public school because it provided me with the ability understand how to balance both identities of being American and Muslim.

This is almost our 4th school year as a New Horizon Irvine family, our daughter is going in to first grade and our son in to preschool.There is so much to say, but ill try and keep it short! This school community is amazingly beautiful, the friendships we have made as a family will truly be life long inshallah. Whats more beautiful is thats completely reflected on to our children. They love everyone here!The level of education and personal attention to each student is something we experience the fruit of daily. Our daughter comes home from school with a love of all things deen, she recites Quran beautifully and teaches us duaas. She makes sure we say them when we wake up and eat and finish eating...The feeling of being proud of your beliefs is what she is embodying, and that is priceless! Our experience with the teachers has been wonderful, to say the least, they are so dedicated and give each student the attention they need on all levels.What we love is also the diversity, she recognizes that not everyone around her is the same, she is intrigued yet understands and respects this fact. That’s the true meaning of coexisting and also being proud of who you are.We love New Horizon Irvine and are so grateful the community is investing in the future of its children with the new Upper School Campus opening in Fall of 2018 Inshallah. To know our children have the opportunity to continue to thrive in this beautiful environment is a great feeling!

I was a student at New horizon from 3rd grade till 6th grade I had a great experience here as a student so great that 5 years later as a junior at Irvine High School I come back to New Horizon every Friday to participate in the MYC youth group and to enjoy a safe and fun environment as well as meet friends and have a great time.

New Horizon has been an amazing experience. I’ve never been to the school but I do volunteer to MYC. Now every week I look forward to Friday to come to MYC. In MYC Ive met new amazing students and teachers. Not only that but Ive had many experiences and done fun activities.The one thing that I love about New Horizon/MYC is that Im always reminded of my religion of my religion no matter what I do.

As a student growing up in New Horizon, I learned severable valuable core values and life lessons that are ESSENTIAL for every young Muslim to learn. I guarantee that you will not get the same experience anywhere else.

New Horizon School, Irvine has been a dream come true for our family. We are proud parents of a New Horizon alumnus and we are immensely pleased with how his NH education has equipped him for his middle school experience. He is achieving straight As in all of his courses and has received compliments from all of his teachers on his amazing leadership and great character - all a direct result of his experience at New Horizon. He continues to hold dear to all of the friends he made while he attended school at NH.Our younger daughter has been a NH student since Preschool and we couldnt dream of a better educational institution for her to go to.
