I wanted to go to an African American dentist and loved the fact that she was a woman. I scheduled a cleaning with them. I wasn’t expecting the $15 sanitation fee. I have visited Clear Smiles , North Texas Dental Surgery and a dentist in a neighboring state since my visit here. None of them have that fee so do what you please with that info.The inside and equipment is dated. The technician that provided my service literally took 45 minute to take X-RAYS of my teeth AND she clearly needed help. Dr. Harper came in did the exam and left. Nothing was explained. Never got the cleaning because it took so long for the X-rays. The receptionist came in with a treatment plan throwing around numbers and sent me on my way. They wanted to charge me $4494 for cavities not including wisdom teeth removal. Which they gave me a card for who she recommended.I’m mentioning this because I went to another dentist the following month. Repeated the process of X-rays and exam. It took 15 mins if that ( up to date equipment being used), I got the cleaning and the doctor did the exam in an hour. The doctor explained to me what I needed NOT the receptionist. I didn’t have as many cavities as Harpers team said nor did I need to pay that much. I could get my fillings and wisdom teeth removed for $2044.I have never been back since and won’t be going. I feel like they are dishonest. I really wasn’t expecting that big of a difference in price. I actually only went to someone else to get the cleaning they didn’t do. If you do continue to do business with this office ALWAYS get a second opinion. I’m glad I did and it saved me over $2,000.

New to Texas and was accepted with open arms. Dr. Harper and her staff are very capable and qualified to provide exceptional care. As long as I am able to get to this practice, regardless of where I live in the US, I will come here.

Dr Harper is always a pleasure and her staff is wonderful. The hygienist was personable, gentle but thorough. I don’t typically see the dentist unless there is an issue which is new for me because I am used being examined. However, I continue to return for my cleanings! Thank you all for such good care.

I loved my experienced at Smiles of Irving! Everyone on staff is incredibly friendly and personable-- visiting with them made my whole morning. Also, I was having some trouble getting my insurance verified, and they were very patient and helpful and willing to work through every obstacle. Not only did they get things figured out for me, but they did it with professionalism and kindness. It warmed my heart! Im looking forward to going back!

I will assume that all issues are COVID related because all of our brains are scrambled right now.Appointment was at 11:00am. I was not called into the building until 11:13am.1. Receptionist/Front Office- Extremely nice, helpful and pleasant. Explained the sanitation fee of $15...that is paid upfront. Not sure if this for every visit or one time fee. I will check on that.2. Technician- Explained thoroughly what she was about to do and what her goal was. Had a tough time with the equipment and got kind of annoyed with it. Which is totally understandable.3. Dr. Harper completed exam. There was some playful banter, great attitude. However, nothing was ever discussed with me. I was lead to the lobby area to wait. I had no idea what the findings of the exam were.Which leads me to...4.Closeout/Billing Coordinator- extremely nice. She delivered the results of my exam when she presented me with a detailed treatment plan. I have not idea how we skipped over the talk with the patient part of the visit. I had no idea I had cavities and needed to get fillings until she was going over the plan.Me being annoyed that my appointment started late and no one even bothered to alert me office running behind nor was there an apology. Since my appointment started late, I left late at 12:45 to get to my next appointment. I didn’t so much as get a toothbrush as a parting gift.However, because I have started treatment here, I did book my next appointment. I am hoping this was just a one off kind of day.

Dr. Harper has been my dentist for about 4 years now. I always look forward to my dentist appointments; simply because she’s an amazing doctor! Always very pleasant, professional and prepared. Her staff is also another reason why I’m a happy patient. They’re a wonderful team. Thank you all again for always being warm and welcoming!

The entire staff was exceptional with the entire process. This was my first Root Canal. Staff made it easy to schedule. Staff happily greeted me every time. Dr Kimberly was very gentle and kind before, during, and after procedure. The procedure was really painless. I feel staff went above and beyond. I think it’s unprofessional for the receptionist to write the patient’s bank card information down on paper where is publicly exposed to others. That is not secure. Other than that, the hygienist did fine cleaning my teeth.

I’m not really one to review... but my visit today with Dr. Harper and her associates went great! I’ve always hated going to the dentist, and quite honestly haven’t had the greatest experiences. However, everyone here was super friendly and explained everything to me throughout the whole visit. They were very gentle, and are truly an office that strives to preserve your teeth, and treat your dental needs at a reasonable price! Highly recommend!

Very long wait to be brought in to the office charged $15 for less than 1oz of mouth required before the visit (a bottle of the required mouthwash can be bought for $10) . Staff was very nice. Immediately I was asked to do many Xrays (15+) before my issue was even discussed. My tooth has been hurting for over a week and it seemed like they were more worried about Maxing out my insurance than helping with the pain. NOTHING was dont to help my tooth and was told I needed to visit a specialist to start the process the go back to them and 2 months and at least 3 visits from now my tooth would be fixed. So after my Visit I am in the same situation I was before the Visit looking for a Dentist that is actual interested in solving my issue not looking to add to their bottom line. This is why I dont like dentists!

Ive been a patient at Smiles of Irving for over a year. During my pre-COVID 19 exam/cleaning I mentioned that my gums hurt and Dr. Harper prescribed a topical ointment. During my recent visit I mentioned that Im still having issues with my gums--about a year later. The hygienist recommended that I rinse with warm salt water. I felt my concerns were dismissed and pressed to see Dr. HarperUnfortunately, I also felt somewhat dismissed by Dr. Harper. She also attributed my concerns to irritated gums. After additional conversation, she asked if Id like to see a periodontist. Fortunately, my periodontist took my concerns seriously and uncovered the deeper issue after a gum biopsy.Will I continue as a patient at Smiles of Irving? Yes, I will. They do a great job with the basic care of my teeth. Fortunately, I am an advocate for me and my health and push when I know something doesnt seem right, even if the healthcare professional tries to minimize the issue. Hopefully this will be a learning opportunity for us all.

I keep going back because I was not shamed the first time I saw Dr. Harper. It had been awhile since I had been to the dentist due to no dental insurance and she took x-rays, reviewed with me the work that needed to be done and gave me a print-out of costs. It took a couple of years but most of the work has been done. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this office to anyone looking for a doctor who is not pushing unnecessary treatments and cares about her patients.

Wonderful experience. I had stains on my teeth, they were all removed with a basic cleaning. Dr. Harper fixed my first two cavities she discovered on the same visit, all went perfect! My teeth look and feel amazing. Also Andrea along with the hygienist and Dr. Harper, were extremely informative, professional and kind. So glad I found a dentist I can trust.

I have been searching for a local dentist in my area yet to find one , so I searched google for a dentist in my area and Smiles of Irving popped up, so I decided to give them a call and the receptionist greeted me with a high energy friendly voice and I knew at that moment I was going to schedule an appointment because I have called several offices and the receptionist was not very friendly. I scheduled my appointment and told her what problems I was having and from then on nothing but good vibes came. On the day of my appointment the receptionist jayme called to see if I wanted to come earlier but I explained I could not I arrived at my appointment time and I noticed the office is very clean, I was greeted and the wait time was very fast. I met Dr. Harper and she was friendly and very attentive to what was going on with my teeth she made me feel relaxed and the assistant Andrea is caring and has a great sense of humor. The office staff as a whole is awesome. I have found my forever dentist. I have even made my husband an appointment to see her as well. Had a great experience st Smiles of Irving today! I was a new patient and all the staff was so friendly and informative. I was nervous going in because I hadn’t been to a dentist in years, but those nerves quickly left after meeting Dr. Harper and her staff. Any and all questions regarding my teeth were answered and I left feeling great.

My tech was very nice and it didn’t take long at all. The Dr. was there when I arrived but had stepped out when I was almost done. That means there was no the final check that I’m used to where the Dr would normally address the concerns the tech had from the X-rays. She said they’d call if the Dr. saw something and needed me to come in again. I’m not a fan of leaving work frequently for multiple doctor visits that should be complete in one.Aside from that, staff is nice, office is always clean and smells nice, and no wait time for my appointment.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I would zero stars if it were possible. They are super disrespectful and the actual dentist doesnt care about you or your services. Harper is the absolute worst and should not be in this business that requires good customer service. She is definitely lacking.My mother was scheduled back and forth, inconveniently, without any complaints. The office was not prepared and needed to schedule her on a Saturday, which is rare to begin with. They needed to reschedule her due to a mistake that was made on THEIR part, not my mothers!!! She showed up on May 4, 2019 and NO ONE WAS THERE! Fast forward to her appointment two weeks later, which was today, the receptionist kindly apologized to my mother. However, the so-called Doctor Harper couldnt acknowledge or give a simple apology!!! If anything, she implied that it was my mothers fault that the appointment was missed, even though she was only scheduled because of their own unpreparedness, and just kept repeating that she didnt know what happened that day when it was clear! If you forgot, just apologize to your customer and make things right!We will never recommend this place to anyone and will NEVER spend another penny here. Harper needs a to get another profession and stay out of anything that requires any sort of customer service, because she FAILS at it!!! I will make sure no one I know wastes their time here.

On this past Memorial Day (2018), my crown decided it was going to relocate while I was eating. Dr Harper and her team have been caring for teeth for years. They are attentive to changes and responsive to all questions and concerns.

Dr Harper was gentle while examining my teeth, afterwards she personally sat down and gave recommendations for treatment and explaining the procedures in details.
