I booked this when I visited in Seattle. I called two places and this was one that I could get in before my trip ended. All was well until the day of, landing was very rough, we hit a tree and almost hit another person. I wasn’t hurt badly or anything, and I understand that sometimes you cants control everything. I wanted to pay for video, but was asked if if was ok to not give the video to me. I thought fine, my pilot was just probably worried abt the the roughy landing. They offered me another free fly. But I was only visiting, I don’t know when I’ll be back next. Sothen I contacted the owner Steven, and asked if I could get a discount instead of another re-fly. He said he’ll reach out to my pilot, and it’s been a week since I got back home, and still no rely.I wish I could’ve gone with Seattle Paragliding instead. Their package seemed more well put together, and about the same price is Parafly.

I took my 12 year old daughter and my 11 year old son for a end of summer adventure after spending too much time at home on our screens (COVID).It was a gorgeous Friday afternoon, and right as we were at the runway, there was a bit of traffic getting off of the hill. Steve and his/our other pilots were incredibly professional, patient, safe, and I could go on and on. It took us a little while to get in the air which gave me a chance to observe this community and culture. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am that we found Steve thanks to the reviews here on Yelp and elsewhere. Its clear they have a profound love of flying and sharing the experience. I did not feel rushed and they were great about explaining what to expect.I dont want to put negative energy out there, but I do feel compelled to say that there was another group up there that seemed to be running more of a volume / turn-over based business. The energy was completely different, and just being around them was unsettling. I dont think they were unsafe, necessarily, but one pilot in particular was pretty condescending and self-important. I actually think he was quite talented as a pilot, but I cant imagine having him speak to one of my kids the way he was talking to his paying adult customers. He was doing landings at the run-way which was pretty disruptive to folks trying to take off; we all had to get out of his way a couple times. At first I thought it was an urgent situation with a freaked out passenger, but then realized after the second time, that this was all about being able to charge for multiple flights without having to land at the parking lot and start over. The space is not designed as a landing strip, there are dozens of people standing around, and the landings were particularly abrupt and rough, which is why he had to yell at people stand up! as they crashed down. No words.Back to Steve! I honestly think Steve was as excited as my son was to get up in the air. They immediately bonded over dreaming about flying, scuba, biology, and life in general. My daughter and her pilot were equally well suited, and although shes normally a bit reserved, apparently she was chatting him up non-stop and they were able to enjoy a particularly long ride. I have no doubt we will be returning to Steve and his team for future celebrations.

Life-changing experience. This is the closest Ill ever get to flying and I was soaring! My husband and I did seperate tandems and it was perfect! I cant wait to sign up for lessons, Id love to fly by myself one day!

My wife and I had the best paragliding experience with Steven and Cort. We got lucky with the weather and had a perfect view of Mt. Rainier. We thoroughly enjoyed the flight and couldnt thank enough for the memorable experience.

Parafly gave my fiance and I the experience of a lifetime. Note that all paragliding is weather dependent so when you schedule to fly is a roll of the dice as to whether youll get a 10 minute flight or a 30 minute flight; it all depends on the weather. Even though my flight was only 10 minutes it was still a blast and I highly recommend it.

Paragliding has interested me for years and Steven provided an excellent introduction to it. His explanations provided a lot of context to everything happening during the flight. Would highly suggest taking a tandem flight if paragliding has ever interested you.

I went tandem paragliding for the first time in my life this summer, and Steven was the best!! I was pretty scared to do it, but he was very patient and talked me through everything very calmly. I knew hed had over 20 years of experience and had done this countless times before, so his relaxed confidence and calm, friendly demeanor made me feel very safe. I appreciated how thorough he was in teaching me all the steps in taking that first walk off the side of a mountain! (Poo Poo Point). He was so patient with me!! I literally put my life in his hands and he delivered!! And it was a blast! Any time I felt a little scared up there, hed just talk calmly in my ear and explain what he was doing and what was going on, and hed remind me to look out and enjoy the experience. I was able to relax and just let go into the experience and it was amazing! He also gave me great tips on how to get good shots with my camera while up there.If you are thinking of trying tandem paragliding, you could not pick a better pilot to do it with! Thank you Steven!

We had a blast paragliding with Steve this weekend. I cant say enough good things about the entire experience from coordinating with him over the phone/email, to remitting payment and of course, the paragliding experience itself.  We took the bus ride up the mountain instead of hiking as I didnt want to be too tired and Im glad we did. I flew with Steve and he was extremely helpful and explained everything really well so I wasnt nervous about anything; he knows what hes doing. He is an all around great person.  What an experience! Being in the sky far surpassed what I had imagined it would be and feel like. It was amazing. I definitely would recommend Steve without a doubt!

Steve was AMAZING. My husband had Owen and raved about him! We had a blast. We went paragliding in Oregon but this was way better. The view was incredible! They let us try flying a little and they did some acrobatics! We were up for about an hour but we got super lucky with the weather! Thanks so much and whenever we go up there we will definitely do this again! Also, the video looks awesome! Highly recommend!

Awesome experience! My husband and I went paragliding for the first time for his birthday. Steve Wilson is a phenomenal guide. He took his time locking in the harness and checking the wing covering all safety measures which was very reassuring and put me at ease as a first-timer. Once we were up he explained about weather patterns and thermals which helped me better understand how he operated the wing. We had the best run of the week and got up about 4,200 feet! Im now hooked and cant wait to do it again.

I contacted Steve for a tandem flight surprise birthday present for my boyfriend. He was AMAZING! Serious professional! I felt completely at ease with him and so did my boyfriend. He was very timely and extremely helpful during pre-flight preparation. He made sure we got the best possible fight available with the weather conditions. Very knowledgeable and clear in his in flight lessons.He is super friendly and puts you at ease with the whole process. He inspired us to pursue continued instruction of paragliding.Make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you hike up to Poo Poo point. Not a hike you want to rush. It is three miles and moderate in difficulty.CHECK OUT PARAFLY! Steve is awesome you wont have any regrets!

Had an amazing experience with Steve. The safety intro before the jump helped ease my nerves, and we were in the air before I knew it. The flight was smooth and the views were breathtaking. Steve narrated throughout the flight, giving tips on flying and education on thermals and the techniques of paragliding. Absolutely no issues with the landing, touched down, took a few quick steps, and we were done. My wife is considering this, and Id have no concerns sending her up with Steve.

Such a great experience! When looking to book the trip as a birthday present I googled paragliding. Steve wasnt the first to pop up, however he by far had the best reviews and after doing our trip with him I can see why. I was nervous, but he was reassuring and patient with us the entire time. Unfortunately our flight wasnt as long as we had hoped, but thats to be expected with a sport that is dependent on weather conditions. I have recommended parafly paragliding to our friends and hope to go again.

Steven told me several times to meet him at the top of Poo Poo Point at 12:00 and to text him when I arrived. I made sure to arrive early to not be late and to spend some time enjoying the view. I texted him at 10:45 to let him know I had arrived at the top. He did not respond. At noon, I texted him again, but he responded saying he was just then loading up the truck. He wasnt even on his way yet. Twenty-five minutes after we were supposed to meet, he still had not arrived. I told him I was leaving, and he called to tell me that he always arrives at 12:30, so that he doesnt have to wait on anyone that may be late. I shouldnt have been punished for being on time, and I dont appreciate people who purposely mislead their customers for their own convenience. Dont use this company unless you are okay waiting around for their own schedule.

I gave my son a flight with Steve for his 17th birthday. Wow. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. My son had the time of his life. It was everything he had expected, and so much more. I cant recommend Steve enough.

I got to fly with Steve again this weekend, only this time I brought my son along too. This is one of those rare opportunities in life that provides a phenomenal memory that lasts and will be treasured for a lifetime. We had such a fantastic time! The spirit of adventure and excitement among all of the pilots and customers, the absolutely beautiful blue skies and vistas, and the knowledge and experience Steve provides that assuages all fears and anxieties makes this experience something I wish I could share with all of my friends and family! Steve also provided a video of my flight, which provided way better images than I was able to capture with my own camera. Other than being able to share this experience with my son, my favorite part of the flight was the falcons we flew with and attempted chasing. Its one thing to observe a bird in flight from the ground, but to be in the air with them gives you a whole new perspective on just how beautiful and amazing these creatures are!Thank you Steve, and Mark, for giving my son and I a day, and memories, that we will treasure forever.

I could not ask for a better pilot. I have been looking around for the past 18 months for an instructor that would show me, understand and specially answer all of my questions. The tandem flight was great. Even other pilots have good things to say about Steve.

This was my first time and I got to fly with Steve. The experience was amazing.He is so knowledgeable and well experienced that I am glad to choose him. He made me feel so comfortable in the flight that I was not scared at all.This was one of the rare and best experience I had in life.

My whole family including my wife and two sons all went Paragliding with Steve and his crew. Steve was very experienced and safety conscious and pair each of us with the right pilot for the experience. Everyone loved it!! My younger son, who was the birthday boy, had some incredible acrobatic flights on the Paraglider and he said it was one of his best experience. We took off on a perfect sunny day and Steve guided me on what type of pictures and video to take to capture all the right moments. Afterwards, I put away the camera and thoroughly enjoy catching the right thermos or lift to allow us to glide longer. We also saw beautiful Peregrine eagles flying close to us. Steve and his crew made sure everyone is thoroughly briefed and prepared for this experience. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, patient and kind. I am also a hang glider pilot and I can attest it is always better to have an experienced, safety-conscious instructor for your tandem flight. I trusted Steve with my whole family and we all had one of the best experience ever.

The last time Ive been paragliding with Steve was 6 or 7 years ago. I was very slightly apprehensive about taking back to the skies, but he talked me through the launch process and got up into the air without any problems. Despite it being early in the day (with light flying conditions), Steve found the thermals and worked his skill well. We had a great, smooth flight with straightforward takeoff and landing, with a great experience for everyone. I appreciate the video he took of the flight as a fabulous way to remember an awesome experience!Full disclosure: Steve is my dad, but takes care of all his customers as well as his daughter!

Go with Steve! He is amazing. I was beyond freaked out literally running off a mountain but Steve is so nice and professional he made my nerves calm down by explaining everything. I learned a lot about how paragliding works even though I was just tagging along for the ride, we also were able to ride the thermals on a day that was not to windy and got a great amount of air time. I would recommend Steve any day of the week!

Steve took me up in the air and also arranged paragliding flights for my two daughters (ages 12 and 10) so that we were all flying through the sky at the same time. We all had an awesome time and felt completely safe.All 3 tandem pilots (Steve plus Drew and Owen) were great about talking to us about how paragliding works and checking in with us on what we were comfortable with (e.g. smooth gliding vs aerobatics).We will definitely be contacting Steve again the next time we paraglide.

I highly recommend Steve Wilson as your pilot if you are thinking about paragliding. Hes been flying for 20 years, has never been hurt himself or hurt anybody else in all those years. I say thats an excellent record wouldnt you? Its a wonderful hike up to Poo Poo Point on Tiger Mountain if youre the adventurous type like me, or you can take a shuttle up to the jump point. Then as you prepare for your flight, Steve will explain all that will take place putting any jitters you may have at ease so you can relax and enjoy the thrill of your life. Its amazing!!!

I went paragliding for the first time literally on a whim - Steve reeled me in (I just hiked up for the day to see the paragliders and hadnt planned on doing any gliding) and I went tandem paragliding with Drew. It was an exhilarating experience. Why spend all that money going to a stuffy amusement park with thousands of other people waiting in line for a ride when you could get the same thrill for less money and a breathtaking view of Washington while youre there?I felt safe the entire time, despite being nervous. If youve never been up in the air before, try paragliding first before anything else! Its not as slow as hot-air ballooning, but less scary than skydiving and jumping out of a plane.

Have been out with Steve for 2 summers now. He is a great guy and has the pulse of the weather conditions on his fingertips. Gave me and my friends a great experience on both occasions. I look forward to paragliding with him again!

I flew with Drew. He was amazing explaining how to launch , what do in the air and how to land. The detailed instructions made it easier for me to be prepared and I rocked it when I was up in the air 😀. He did only what I wanted and kept it simple without any tricks as I wanted a simple Experience . They also showed my pictures and videos later and offered water and beer after the ride taking their time which was sweet .

I hadnt planned on Paragliding that Tuesday that I went to hike Poo Poo point. I hadnt even remembered that it was a paragliding location until I arrived and saw people landing in the field by the parking location. When I got to the top of the hike I was enjoying watching the Paragliders take off when Steve approached me and asked if Id like to do a tandem ride. At first I was hesitant but after thinking it over I decided to go for it! After a brief instruction and overview of what wed be doing I was up in the air!I was very lucky that it was a beautiful day with great conditions and we had a wonderful flight. My instructor made everything very easy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has thought about it or who decides last minute to give it a go!

Steven was prompt, proactive, and organized about booking all 4 people of our group on just one days notice. He helped maximize our flight times. He was generous letting us create part of our video and photos, which we purchased and he had sent to us the very next day. As my instructor, he was clear with the briefing instructions about take off, flying, and landing. He helped me get awesome photos and selfies during flight. He let me try flying for part of the ride and had a bunch of knowledge to share during flight. I felt safe and prepared the whole time and wasnt scared for a second. He was sensitive and prepared when I, to my surprise, did get a little air sick; he reduced the turning speeds and had a little bag for me which I ended up needing. He made our experience memorable and enjoyable. I felt respected and taken care of and had a feeling he cared about our whole experience. These are the things we wanted for our first experience with Paragliding and I definitely recommend Parafly Paragliding.

This has been on my bucket list for some time now. For my sons 17th birthday he and I had the opportunity to experience this beautiful flight. I am a bit of a risk taker, I enjoy a good adrenaline rush, yet I felt a bit of anxiety running off the side of a cliff. The professionalism and knowledge that Steve displayed put my nerves at ease. I enjoyed every minute of the flight as did my son. We were able to take in the beauty of Tiger Mountain, fly with a couple ravens and learn about the process of paragliding.This is a venture that I will pursue again and I highly recommend to others. Steve and his team are highly experienced and will make your experience fantastic.

We took our son Sam to paraglide for this 10th birthday. We hiked up and met Steven at the top. Everything was top notch. Steven was friendly and professional. Together they flew for about an hour. Sam even got to hold the controls and make some turns himself, with Steven providing appropriate guidance. It was a magical experience, and wed recommend it to anyone even slightly interested!

I had a fantastic tandem paragliding session with Steve. The view was amazing. We stayed up about 40min even though I am rather heavy (240lbs) which makes it harder. Steve paid close attention to what I would respond to and tried to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for me.My flight was scheduled for the end of the day (5-6PM ish), which was fantastic as the light and the atmosphere was sort of magical out of Tiger Mountain. From up there, there is a great view of Mount Rainier and Seattle, so I recommend you bring your GoPro or phone if you can.It was my first time paragliding, and Steve really helped getting me to understand what to expect. This in turn helped my feel at ease and relaxed from the beginning. He was very knowledgeable and a very good teacher, explaining all aspects in a very easy-to-undertsand manner.Throughout the flight, Steve would would find opportunities to teach me aspects of flying, and to have me be an active participant in the flight, which greatly increased my experience.I am seriously considering taking a paragliding class with him now.

Went paragliding for our 5 year anniversary -- we had a completely amazing time.

In my earlier days, I jumped out of several perfectly good airplanes, but drifted away from skydiving when wing suits started making an appearance and my first daughter was born. Diving was becoming faster and more extreme with new boundaries being pushed on a regular basis (similar to rock climbing these days.) The risk factor was simply beyond what I considered OK. I had my fun and moved on.Some years ago, my wife practiced Yoga with Steve. Recently, I learned that he is a paragliding pilot and instructor with over 20 years of experience and a perfect safety record. Keen to find a more serene way to fly, I reached out to Steve to arrange a tandem flight.Steve is obviously quite knowledgeable and experienced. I explained to him that I was very interested in pursuing paragliding instruction, P2 certification, and integrating flying with my other mountain pursuits of alpine skiing, rock climbing, and trail running. We also talked about the mindset and risk management thought process of folks like us who sometimes do potentially dangerous things. He gets it, for sure, as do I. That alone was reason enough for me to fly with Steve and likely for him to allow me to fly with him.When we arrived atop Tiger Mountain, the sky was thick with haze from the BC fires and the sun was a massive, firey disc. There was a gentle wind, but not much cloud activity. I noticed that must everyone in the air was bunched together, suggesting that the good flight area was fairly contained. Didnt care. Just wanted to go up!Steve explained everything very clearly. He handled his wing with certainty and agility. I understand that these big tandem wings can sometimes handle like mac trucks, but we chased small thermals and executed what I felt to be very nimble turns. He explained differences in thermal activity between deciduous and non-deciduous trees, pointing out canopy movement as an indicator. With few options to gain serious altitude, he brought us just above the canopy, closer than I had ever flown to treetops, an experience I hope to repeat again soon. We even got to talking about local birds, known by regular fliers, across multiple generations.The flight was relatively short, given the conditions. However, that did nothing to diminish the experience. As Steve mentioned, I think youll be hooked. This is just to wet your appetite. To be perfectly frank, I feel I learned and experienced more in that short time than I did across several skydiving jumps. The entire experience was simply serene.Steve was absolutely right. I am completely hooked.

I went paragliding yesterday for my first time with Steven from Parafly Paragliding and it was amazing! So amazing in fact that I am going again this afternoon! Steven was a great instructor and he explained everything very well. I learned more than I could have imagined. Steven is undoubtedly a very experienced and knowledgeable pilot. I was a little nervous, but Steven’s instructions were clear and easy to follow. Once we were in the air I had no fears or doubts about the flight. It was actually very relaxing and scenic. Even if you’re a bit scared, give paragliding a shot and choose Steven from Parafly as your instructor! You won’t regret it!

***BEWARE****- Not every flight is a long one or even a medium one for that matter. Mine only lasted 10 minutes. After trying to work out a day to go, we finally got a perfect day to fly. As we were waiting to be shuttled up, clouds started to come in. It had me feeling anxious but steve reaffirmed its a still a great day to fly and that these clouds would only take it down a notch.Ok, I thought, getting an hour and a half flight is probably like getting a fresh powder day skiing, so I didnt set my expectations to high and hoped for 45 minutes when I originally looked into doing paragliding in Issaquah. I was not expecting to be down in 10 minutes.I was hoping for some compensation other than giving us the GoPro footage which did come close to relieving my disappointment . Rather, I got the usual, its not my fault the weather changedHis website is misleading and he lied trying to reassure us that it was still great flying conditions and he would have us up there for a long time.My experience was definitely not worth $175 which doesnt include the $20 shuttle. This was not my first pricey adventure, but the first time I felt short-changed by one.*P.S.* if you dont like when instructors are real pushy about capturing footage or pictures and taking away from the moment, be sure to request to leave the selfie-stick at the bottom.

Happened to be in the Seattle/Issaquah area on vacation. My father had seen paragliders on previous trips to Tiger Mountain and suggest I try it (tandem). We found Parafly Paragliding LLC online and called the morning we planned to go. They were able to fit us in that day. Steven Wilson met us on the mountain. I hiked up and it took us around 2 hours; however a shuttle was available for 20 dollars. Steven was very informative, and told me everything I needed to know for the flight. We had to wait for three other paragliders, but I liked being able to see the process before our turn. The take off and landing was smooth and easy. Despite it being a cloudy day, we had a wonderful, and long, flight. Steven was very informative, describing the techniques of paragliging and even let me steer a couple times. We ended up being in the air for about 45 min and went up to about 4,000ft. Make sure to wear long sleeves as it gets cold the higher up you go, and it is windy. I have gone skydiving twice before this, so the height and the spinning (which allowed us to stay up in the air longer) did not bother me. I was able to get a video of the flight for 50 dollars. I was smiling the whole time. I would definitely go again with Steven the next time.

I had the most amazing experience paragliding! I highly, highly recommend going with Steve. I was really nervous about going (I don’t even like rollercoasters so naturally I was apprehensive), but Steve made me feel comfortable with all his experience and knowledge. He guided me through every step and constantly talked me through what was going on. I went with a couple of friends that day who also had great pilots, but they were envious of my flight because Steve took me out higher and way longer than anyone else! He made sure I had the BEST experience. I think I should also mention that our take-off and landing, the two things I was most afraid of, went perfectly! Steve has a true passion for flying that hes eager to share with everyone!

Had a good hike up and an excellent flight down. You dont often get to sit back and enjoy a view like this.
