I have been a student of Charles McCrone, Director of Music at Kaleidascope School of music for nearly 4 years. Let me start by saying how great Charles is. He has never forced me to switch to his music preferences and has adapted his teaching curriculum to what I want to learn. I am progressing at a good pace and enjoying playing guitar more each year. Let’s make year 4-5 even better!

“I love taking piano lessons with Mr. Peter Adams because I can now play many of my favorite songs, like Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata.” – Nate Jr., 13 years old, taking lessons for 2 yearsFor the past 2 years our oldest son Nate has been taking piano lessons with Peter Adams. We were so pleased with his progress that we decided to have another one of our children take lessons with him, too. Quincy just completed his first year and is also progressing quite well. Peter is very professional, personable, positive and a great listener. He has been an amazing teacher to our children. Not only are they learning to play piano, they are also working on music theory, ear training, transcribing music, music composition and more. We are extremely impressed with Peter’s ability and desire to adjust his teaching style to what is suitable for the student. His approach is effective and the results are terrific. We LOVE the sound of live music flowing through our home daily; it’s truly a blessing. If you’re looking for an excellent piano teacher, we highly recommend Peter Adams.

Peter Adams has been such an amazing inspiration to our daughter and has really helped to develop her passion for music. It has been with Peters guidance that she has gained the courage to compose music as well as to truly LOVE the piano. She had two teachers previously (in CO) and I can sincerely say that the growth I’ve seen in her during her time with Peter has been immense comparatively and I attribute that to Peters passion and laid back approach…he is a true a musical mentor!

My son has been taking piano lessons from Peter for a couple years now. He loves learning from Peter--he always make it fun, and he is always so impressed with Peters comprehensive understanding of music. He never balks at teaching something new, even if he doesnt have sheet music for it! Teaching Hayden to learn music by starting with the chords is very inspiring and keeps him wanting to come back for more! Very pleased with Peters knowledge, ability and teaching style.

Love the studio. My daughter takes viola lessons from Caroline F, and has improved drastically. Caroline is very flexible too - if Brenna is sick or has another commitment, no problem, its easy to reschedule or just wait until next week. Also, she has fun little recitals at the end of the year. Great experience.

My daughter, an intermediate piano player, has been taking piano lessons with Peter Adams at Kaleidoscope School for more than a year. Peter has been instrumental in helping my daughter learning different music genres, and advancing her piano performance skills. Peter is an extremely patient, kind, and experienced piano teacher, who focuses on learning about his students personalities, learning styles, and hearing feedback from students and their families. We have been very satisfied with Peter as our daughters piano teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone who has a passion for piano.

I have been taking lessons for over 3 years and I love it! My guitar teacher, Charles, teaches really good, I learned to play so much better, and he is really cool. He teaches me techniques, and any kind of song, I prefer rock and I can play much better rock songs. There is also the bands, which is one of the best experiences ever, and he controls it very well, and we get to preform in front of a lot of people! I hope more people sign up to join the kaleidoscope community, and rock on!

In the meet-and-greet session itself, Caroline Faflak fixed his wrist position holding the violin bow and he came out skipping. Kaleidoscope collects under one roof the best and most passionate music teachers. Taking lessons with Caroline has visibly inspired my son to practice more and with dedication and I can see the permanent love of music and the instrument settling in for which I could not be more grateful. They are racing through the books and music lessons are a joy. Kaleidoscope makes it possible to give the gift of music through teachers like Caroline.

My son had guitar lessons with Joe at Kaleidoscope for over two years. Joe was very patient and flexible when working with a young learner; he would teach songs and musical styles that my son wanted to learn. Joe infused each lesson with a contagious joy of music. Our weekly lessons became a highlight of my sons week.

We see two different teachers at Kaleidoscope, and both are amazing!John Groves teaches our 7-year-old trombone (well, leading up to the trombone since his arms arent long enough to play the trombone yet, but her really wants to!). John is the perfect combination of encouraging, disciplined, and silly for our little guy. Hes learned so much already, and I know he will continue to progress with John!Anna Culver is our 9-year-olds violin teacher, and she is amazing, as well. Responsive, thoughtful, creative, and encouraging. Both of our kids are learning so much, and really developing a love for music. I couldnt recommend them more highly!

I cant say enough good things about Kaleidoscope and our sons guitar teacher Joe Polito. I was skeptical that our son (7 years old) would stick with or enjoy music lessons of any kind, but Joe has managed to not only keep him interested but increase his willingness to play on his own with his style of teaching. He is the master of a no stress environment which is very different than the piano lessons I took as a kid. He teaches songs that our son loves and encourages him to bring in new ideas. By teaching him manageable parts of his favorite songs, he can play along with the song and enjoy it versus worrying about forgetting parts of it. It is great to hear him play recognizable songs and even better to see how much he enjoys playing. Practicing is actually fun for him!! It is a pleasure to have our son as a student of Joe and Kaleidoscope!

Max has been studying cello with Alex for almost a year, and I cannot be more excited about his progress. Max’s middle school conductor has noticed vast improvements in his form and technique since working with Alex. Alex’s devotion to music is contagious and he has cultivated in Max a true respect for the instrument and the music process. Max has attended almost every local symphony (and some not-so-local!) He has learned to appreciate music in a deeper way and yearns to expose himself to live cello performances regularly.Alex and Max had an immediate rapport, and as a parent, I am delighted that my son can spend time with this professional, talented young man each week. Max looks forward to his lessons as the highlight of his week.

Ive been taking voice lessons with Danny for a couple of years now and loving it! I can see a major difference in my voice than from even a month ago. He also does so much more than help me with my technique, he helps with my repertoire, acting choices, and getting ready to become an audition ready actor. I totally recommend working with Danny!

My experience with Kaleidoscope School of Music has been very positive. I looked to Kaleidoscope to find teachers available for lessons for flute, clarinet, and piano. (Thats only a small sample of music instruments that can be taught there. They offer several teachers for all the various instruments.) Each teacher is contacted individually and those I contacted were quick to respond noting their availability, etc. The owner himself checked up on my progress in finding a music teacher(s). There is a chance a teacher is not available due to conflict in schedule but for those teachers who weve taken lessons from at Kaleidoscope (Alaistar Fray, Launa Rohar, Kristi S), weve had a good experience and its a great central location for students from Bellevue to North Bend.

My son started lessons at Kaleidoscope at the beginning of this school year and we have been quite happy with our experience. His flute teacher, Launa Rohar, does a great job of keeping his lessons fun and productive. She is dedicated, professional and has great rapport with my energetic, easily distracted 6th grade boy, who has really excelled at band this year. She listens to his goals and provides him the tools for a strong foundation, band class support, and additional performance opportunities to be a well rounded, inspired musician. My son really enjoys his lessons and is very motivated to learn and practice what Launa teaches him. They have accomplished a lot together this year and I am thankful to have her as his teacher.I must also mention that I really like the Kaleidoscope music school environment. Its inspiring to go to lessons where there are other kids learning in other rooms. The location has good parking at the back and a Music & Arts store across the street. I suggest prospective students do a trial lesson with a teacher first and to be open about their goals and expectations. Communication is key. I have older kids taking music lessons at different places, we have done our homework and been there, done that. From our experience, I recommend Kaleidoscope School of Music and moreover, Launa Rohar for flute lessons.
