We have been with Goddard (Issaquah) for almost 4 years - we have two children - one in Toddlers (Ms. Fawn) and one in Preschool (Ms. Cat). We have had a very good experience and we know how difficult it has been for the school to be open during COVID and managing everything involved with that. The school has never had an outbreak as the reviewer below states - in fact, the school has been overly communicative & transparent when they did have an exposure from a staffer this summer. My children are safe and well taken care of while at school each day. We are thankful Goddard is there for us and we really love the report and photos that are emailed at the end of every day.

Where to even begin with this place...Our 2-year old son attended Goddard for three months, after one month we knew we wanted out. Here are the “highlight”:1. Disorganized: on his first day there was a COVID-19 outbreak. We were sent an email saying he had to quarantine for two weeks and couldn’t return to school. Two days later we called to see if we’d be refunded tuition, and we learned that he hadn’t been in one of the effected rooms and the email had been sent in error.2. Unsafe: what’s more unsafe than a COVID-19 outbreak? Drunk delinquents smoking next to the playground are! In our second week, I went to pick up our son and some kids were leaning on the gate to the playground smoking cigarettes. When I told them they should leave they threatened to jump me and threw bottles of Mike’s Hard Lemonade at my car. The Director of Goddard swore that hadn’t happened before, but once is too much. What makes it worse was that they weren’t aware they were there smoking until I informed them anyway, so who knows how often it had happened.3. Inexperienced overwhelmed staff: In three months I saw at least 6 teacher cycle through my son’s classroom. The primary instructor was pretty good and was consistent in her role, but otherwise it was constant churn of random people who didn’t seem experienced working with kids or even especially competent. For example there were several times they sent our son home in clothes that weren’t his while his clothes were no where to be found. At his prior day care he learned extensive sign language, at Goddard the only new language he picked up was “no talking” and “no touching”.In conclusion this place is a mess and I can’t stress enough how inadequate they are as a daycare.Go literally anywhere else.

The Goddard School did a great job watching and educating our kids. They open at 7:00am and close at 6:00, which was perfect for our family since my wife and I both work. The owners, Catherine and Scott did a fantastic job hiring competent staff and running the behind the scenes stuff. Brenna, one of the directors, was always available for questions at the front desk. I felt very comfortable with my kids at the Goddard School and have recommended to several of my co-workers.

This school is ridiculous! First let me start with the Pros…I love their curriculum. They are great at preparing kids for school in my opinion. They teach letters, numbers, science, etc. This, however, is where my list of Pros ends. The school is very anal. They have certain textbook expectations for the kids, and anyone who stands out becomes labeled as the problem child. Children are not encouraged to be individuals, but instead are forced to become robots to make it easier on the staff. The TURNOVER of teachers is just insane! Within a year my child has had 6 different teachers! If you search the internet, you will find that many teachers are complaining of being overworked, and under payed here (thus they leave), and it really reflects on their performance in the classrooms. I would not recommend this school to anyone who has an active, flourishing child. They will be quick to label them.

Called to inquire about the infant care program and learned that there is a wait list of 2 years. Not sure how anyone is suppose to plan two years in advance?Edit: my daughter joined and the school is great. Teachers are very affectionate and I couldnt be happier. Still, I wish the wait list was managed better.

Giving good value to academics, like the approach of teachers in making the kids follow the rules. More over giving a good nap time and good food in the evening helps kid to be happy while we pick up. After school care is also equally good. Kudos to the team Ms Mary, Ms Sirisha, Ms Madhavi, Savannah and all teaching staff. Thank you for the flexibility of Clara and Catherine.

Staff are great and we love the ability to catchup with what our kid is doing via the app at the end of each day.
