I was impressed by the staff when we visited, they were very welcoming and eager to help, we even got to meet with a department chair with a phone call when we realized we had signed up for wrong tour. Of course the beauty of the school is impressive as well.

Not a terrible school but I think it should be at a higher standard for the price they charge. The business school is nice. However, a lot of the IC’s gen-ed classes are on the community college level. This is definitely an extremely progressive and liberal environment.

We enjoyed our time at Ithaca College during their Fall Open House. The campus is beautiful, the people are amazing and welcoming, and the music facilities are incredible. The landscape was gorgeous on our long drive to the college. Would be great for someone who likes a remote location.

The students and faculty for the most part are an absolute delight to be around. Be prepared for a challenge, but what you put into this experience will be exactly what you get out of it. These were 4 fantastic years for me, and any kind of student has the potential to thrive in this kind of environment.

A beautiful campus...thats about it. Dont look for friendly as you will only find phony. Got a great welcoming letter from Park School but when my son needed help, Oh, we dont do that. Then called again, woman who sent welcoming letter with her home phone, cell phone and office phone provided on business card attached to the letter is no longer at the school. Son had no advisor, as advisor left school. No life line at this school. My son found school to be an elitist, obnoxious place. We wish he had never heard of Ithaca. Much better schools available.

Graduated from IC in 2007. Campus has undergone a lot of transformation since I graduated, but still brings back the memories. Its a small campus but still a great place. Make sure to check out the new (at the time of this writing) fitness center!

I see alot more diversity at my alma mater IC campus in 2019. Also alot more vegan options & diversity discussion is visible. Though, I dont value the diversity conversation so much today as a good thing in education. Mostly because it indicates multiple issues within the student body itself that detract from academic studies. I view this as an Eastern conference issue. When I attended, it was an ice breakeron multiple levels. I was cast aside as a minority by many professors in what I still see to be a predominantly Caucasian music college. I dont know that the music college has changed much. Yet the other developments on campus appear positive .Since I was from out of state & IC my alma mater college;- it wasnt listed in Pennsylvania companies as Choice universities for scrolldown selection employment applications. So it wasnt a good thing & I was 💯 unable to apply.I got close to 4.0 at Masters level out in Western conference Universities in Stark contrast to this Eastern Conference college where I was a student leader.Overall, the nicities vanished after recruitment. Not sure if that is the same today for minorities.

IC is composed of an amazing group of kids, many of whom have diverse interests. Theres opportunities to learn new skills, from forestry to billiards to religion to music to dance. The town is made up of a smorgasbord of people who love conversation and will show you new parts of the world. There is no shortage of opportunity here and if you apply yourself and find what is right for you, there is a home at IC for you. While I enjoyed my time at IC, I can admit it was a challenge for me to find my footing here. Ithaca College is a great place for upper-middle white class folks in athletics. Its also great for the sociable types. But for true academics it can often fall short of being challenging or engaging. The teachers are fantastic, but the coursework is bland. There are a lot of preppy people, very fake people, but mostly just a population of people still trying to find themselves, which is normal. It can often be hard to find the right friends. But the community is huge, and you will find them if you try.The politics at IC (not the coursework but the administration) is rocky at best and getting rockier. IC needs to figure out their priorities and give the students (who put themselves into massive debt to attend this college) a good governing body who take pay cuts to give scholarships and better food and healthcare options. Also, on politics: Not only is the Ithacan so far left they nearly circle around back to right, but the entire political atmosphere is made up of so many people with so little real-world applicaple knowledge that it definitely put a weird taste in my mouth. White feminism is rampant.Otherwise its a great school for communications, music, environmental studies, outdoor education, and business. If you want a liberal arts degree I would recommend another school. Utilize office hours. The teachers are amazing and filled with knowledge. Talk in class. Have discussions. Go off campus. Jump into a gorge. Stay for a summer! Have fun!

Get ready for one of the greatest stories of all time, this one time Josh Parker sent his girlfriend a video of him cheating on her by accident and him and his friends Ruben, E.l., and Kyle had to go on a road trip to Boston to stop her from finding it, it was a race against time to say the least and a lot of fun

I visited Ithaca College. It welcomes every National Origin, Race and Religion with open arms. Ithaca College is a better school than Quinnipiac University. Quinnipiac University hate their own Indian Students, Faculty, and Staff. I have first hand experience of Quinnipiac University. Would recommend Ithaca College over Quinnipiac University

I am a very past graduate of Ithaca College. I just visited IC and feel a personal mission as an alum to explain why this college has reached the standard-of-excellence for small private colleges. I see IC as a place of higher education that will give its students opportunities that are not available in many smaller colleges of today. Its Schools of Business, Communications and Music are OUTSTANDING but its excellence is not limited to these Schools. I have recently had two daughters go through the college process so I am qualified to tell you that the professors that I witnessed in class on my visit were of the finest caliber and its classrooms are stocked with the technology of the day. After what I saw of the college, I believe IC is Higher Education of the 21st Century with the ability to give its students a college experience that will prepare them for a lifetime. Sure Ithaca New York can be cold but I assure you that the College has taken action to create more buildings that are connected with tunnels. The view of Lake Cayuga is inspirational for any student walking through campus. The town of Ithaca has become the role-model of college towns in the country!
