I enjoyed the JROTC program and a lot of the staff until I got expelled right before the end of my senior year because of students targeting people and staff taking sides before having proof of things. Got expelled for he said she said situation with no proof. Lost everything I enjoyed when it happened. Should fire Master Sgt and get a real solider like Is colonel Lapham back. Colonel would have actually figured out who was at fault then took action. I lost a lot of the things I loved after being kicked out of the program. Even ruined my relationship cause of the lies that were said untrue things that were said.

I went through several programs provided by the Jackson Area Career Center including the Patient Care Technician, Certified Nurse Assistant and Medical Assistant programs. The instructors were knowledgeable and prepare students for entry-level positions in the field of medicine with hands on experience and thorough lectures. I went on to secure several jobs over the years working as a medical assistant at the University of Michigans Childrens hospital and at Beaumont working for several different departments, i.e. urgent care, family practice and internal medicine. The Medical Assisting program prepares students to get certified with NCCT, a widely recognized certificate that you can use nationwide to secure work. Most importantly, the career center offers this education for a fraction of the cost that community colleges charge considering the ever-increasing cost of higher education. I highly recommend going here if you want to get your foot in the door with the field of healthcare!

If there was a -10 or a option for zero stars I would have selected that. Before taking on any of the programs here especially any of the adult career programs ask yourself why are they so cheap compared to other facilities? You def get what you pay for they don’t care about the success of their students and claim they have a work experience atmosphere which would have been fine if they truly did have that which when it comes to absents and tardys they do have and enforce but if there’s bulling harassment and verbal abuse from one or more students to another that was well documented and first reported by 3 out of 4 teachers to the director about the same few students who would not leave this one student alone for what ever reason they even went as far as messing with the students sign in sheet which the teachers did not do them selves so they marked the girls time in as tardy even when she wasn’t at all unbeknownst to her but one student saw them other students messing with that girls time after she had walked away they did it enough times so the girl wouldn’t get her internship that you pay extra to get and the director did nothing there was no consequence at all not for none of that behavior if they really had a work atmosphere those few students would have been written up or suspended but the director didn’t correct the sign in sheet she didn’t even ask the other students to leave the one alone in fact if anything she blamed the victim by telling her maybe those students would leave her alone if she stopped wearing makeup. That director failed miserably and I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy there let alone any ones kids. I fed wouldn’t trust them with any ones future. Overall don’t waste ur time here they don’t care about you and your success.

Public should know !! Real rating -* JACC seems like a good school but they allow thier students to get harassed over and over by other classmates so much so I didnt feel safe but that didnt matter to JACC/director who runs everything there. I was in the year long MA class and not long after starting I was being bullied and harassed so much so the teacher reported it to the director of the school unknowingly to myself bc I was keeping it to myself hoping itd eventually stop. I really dont like conflict so I ignored it and brushed it off all the time untill the director called me into a meeting bc all 4 of the teachers we had all were concerned enough to report the harassment to the director and instead of talking to those who were doing it she only talked to me and told me that they were treating me that way bc I was the youngest in the class (who had an A average all year) and bc I was too pretty and that if I wanted the harassment to stop I should stop wearing makeup and stop doing my hair thats seriously what I was told I could not believe my ears. I should not have to change myself to feel safe at school. To make matters worse they have a very flawed way of doing attendance and since thats such a crucial part of graduating the way they did it made it too easy for others to lie by hand writing incorrect arrival times and friends of others would even sign in for others that werent even there just so they wouldnt have a absence on thier record. Unfortunately since it was a adult program they counted on everyone to be honest and sadly they just werent, in fact unknowingly to me one of the ppl who were harassing me wrote over my time way after I had alrdy signed in so itd say I was tardy when I clearly wasnt . Only reason I know this is because one of my classmates was a witness to this saw the person do it and told me about it and told the director. I had kept very clear and precise records of everything including my own attendance as well as the harassment and after finding that out it had me thinking what if they did it other times since it was close to the end of the year I had went over it all with the secretary and they actually had done it before to me they did it so many times enough to ruin any chance I had at an internship bc if you go over the limit of absences and tardies you were disqualified for the internship. So even after all the harassment I suffered that all 4 teachers as well as other classmates witnessed / reported and even with prooving that they messed with my attendance once which should be proof enough that they did it again to me prior to that day and providing my own attendance record they refused to fix my record to the correct version bc they started messing with my time on the sign in log many months before that day nor would they work something out with me considering all this and denied me my internship which without it the entire class time and work was all for nothing bc no matter what they say you need them to get into a internship and if you want to get your state license you have to have so much time doing a internship. So basically I paid a ton of money just to be bullied and harassed. I feel the director was very wrong in her actions on how she handled everything concerning this. I think if we are telling our kids that bulling isnt ok then we need to act as the example and the director/school failed to do that. JACC allowed these individuals to graduate along with a internship even though they claim that if you dont treat the class as you would a real job but at a job there is something called being wrote up which never happend which in the school handbook it says offenders would be punished by not receiving the internship which isnt true obviously if anything JACC allowed the victim aka myself to be the only one punished. JACC failed completely literally her (director) only attempt to help was telling me to not wear makeup or do my hair. So I ask you is this the kind of school you want to attend?? That allows such things with no consequences absolutely none.

Excellent education available to any kid willing to go for it. Both of my kids went on to college to earn 4year degree in their related JACC programs.
