Go Fly Maui is a fantastic helicopter operation! Captain Nick is an excellent pilot and very knowledgeable about the area. He even customized our tour based on what we wanted to see! I’ve never seen such beautiful sights that you can only reach by helicopter! Being a helicopter pilot myself, I can tell you from experience there is no better company on the island to fly with than Go Fly Maui! Thanks for a great time and for taking such great photos of us!!

Nick was a terrific pilot! Very knowledgeable and very funny. He made us feel right at home 1,000 feet in the air, and even let us fly the helicopter! If you are wanting a helicopter flight in Maui, look no further.

This was the most incredible experience of my whole life!!!! The ride was breathtaking! And so beautiful that it’s not even that scary! Nick is an extremely skilled pilot and the ride was very smooth, my pictures and videos came out perfect! Megan is very accommodating & friendly and made everything easy to book (including a last minute reschedule due to changes we weren’t expecting). I would recommend Go Fly Maui to everyone for a once in a lifetime experience and an absolute MUST when visiting Maui!!

Nick is an amazing pilot and tour guide. The trip thru the deep canyons of Maui and Molokai was the experience of a lifetime. The canyon scenery, large number of waterfalls and views of the ocean were stunning. I took a similar flight with another tour company 2 years ago. Flying with Nick was much more exciting and fun. I rarely give a 5 star rating but this was a 5++ experience.

We had an awesome experience flying with Nick. His R44 is like new and well equipped. This was an intro flight for me and he welcomed my daughters to come along in the back seats on a beautiful flight north to Nakelel blowhole and to the Wall of tears (I think was the name). Flying in the canyons surrounded by waterfalls with the doors off was amazing. With a little bit of ground school prior to the flight, he was hands off the controls early into the 45 min intro flight. He even allowed me an attempt at hovering back at the airport which is very humbling. It is not cheap but well worth it. We also took a commercial tour with Maverick which was great, but in comparison, having the ability to be at the controls and circle over a whale or check out whatever interests you and with no doors is worth every penny! They were very accommodating with scheduling as well. A great experience for a prospective pilot and or sightseers. Highly recommended.

Ive been lucky to have flown with them a few times now on the photo flight and just recently the discovery flight! Being a photographer and living on Maui, its an awesome perspective to see the island for the air! Im enamored with all the gorgeous places that we were able to see from sea cliff waterfalls, shipwrecks, whales, and manta rays!The owners, Nick and Magen, are friendly and make the whole experience a lot of fun! Ive had a few friends who had never been on a helicopter and were a little nervous but pilot Nick put them at ease with his knowledge and witty sense of humor.Last week, I did the discovery flight and it was incredible! We started off with an intro of all the controls and safety logistics and then flew for 30 min. Hands down, one of the coolest experiences! I cant recommend this enough--if you even have an inkling of wanting to fly, sign up! You wont regret it. You might even want to get your pilots license after.

I recently went on one of the discovery flights with the owner Nick and had THE BEST time! Nick patiently and confidently explained the helicopter controls as well as important safety points and although I was nervous before getting on the helicopter, I didn’t feel scared at all after meeting Nick. The views from the helicopter were simply stunning and photos and video do not do it justice. Most of the flight felt like a dream as we soared effortlessly through jagged green valleys and explored seemingly never ending waterfalls. Nick’s confident but hilarious demeanor and commentary put me at ease before and during the flight. He also went out of his way to equip me with anti nausea medicine beforehand which made all the difference for someone who usually suffers from motion sickness. Overall this was an AMAZING experience and I can’t wait to get back up in the air again!

I did two discovery flights with Nick on my trip to Maui, one with my fiancé and one with my parents. Both were extraordinary highlights of the trip for everyone. Nick is extremely well versed in the area and tailors each flight to exactly what you’re looking to get out of it. As a helicopter pilot myself, I was very impressed with his skill, knowledge and safety oriented mindset. He was a fantastic instructor, helping me with the nuances of the R44 and showing my fiancé the basics and getting her to fly for a bit (which she loved). Seeing Maui and Malakai from the air was phenomenal!

Nick and Magen Moran run a top notch helicopter service in Maui. I have been on several other helicopter operators on Maui and the big island and none compare to Go Fly Maui. I booked a 1 1/2 hour flight to catch Kai Lenny, Tyler Laronde and friends surfing Peahi (Jaws) on December 31st amazingly big break. Nick kept Daniel Sullivan and myself in perfect position to get amazing shots. If you are on Maui then do yourself a favor and book a flight. It will be the most amazing event you will experience. I also want to say as a commercial rated pilot myself, I was very impressed with Nicks safety and skills. I will be up again with Go Fly Maui very soon.

Go fly Maui provided the most spectacular flight training experience with unbelievable and breathtaking views. I couldn’t believe how customisable my flight was. Nick allowed me to choose the route and explore what I wanted, of course to within reason. As such I got to check out some of the most stunning waterfalls, ridges and cliffs on Molokai. Nick was highly professional and provided A+ training and flexibility.Definitely the best flight in 90 minutes I’ve done in my helicopter pilot career and most recommended helicopter flying on Maui.

This school has one of the best R44 I have even flown (extremely well maintained). The service and the instructor are just amazing - listening to the person on what is needed and making the right recommendations. And Nick is truly a great photographer! You hardly ever find a good pilot and photographer at the same time! Thank, Nick and the team for unforgettable experience!

Awesome flight! Super easy to book. Nick was fun to fly with and has incredible knowledge of the island. Coming from the Midwest we are used to flying over very flat terrain. Nick gave great instruction/techniques for flying around the valleys, dealing with winds, and emergency/bail out considerations. Spectacular views! We can’t wait to come back!

Nick is a GREAT pilot and fantastic instructor. We flew around the Hana side of Maui and I recieved unique and tailored instruction on mountain/valley flying and Mauis micro climates. I would highly recommend this to any helicopter and non helicopter pilots traveling to the area. Even if you arent a pilot but want an awesome hands-on experience go for it! Enjoy the islands from the best seat in the house!

Professional and personable! Flying with Nick in the new R44 was amazing. Maui from the air is not the same as what you see from the ground. The best part is that you get to fly the helicopter with Nick as your co-pilot. He was very knowledgeable of the aircraft and the island. I definitely recommend this. They both make you feel so comfortable and confident. Loved flying with the doors off (less claustrophobic) and you have the ability to earn flight hours at the same time. Never felt scared or uneasy. It is chilly in the am so wear a jacket or long sleeves. Honestly the best and only way to see Maui up close and personal

I’d been in helicopters before, but this time I actually got to fly one!!! Nick’s relaxed, friendly personality made the experience incredibly fun, and his orientation and instruction made me calm and confident to take the controls next to him. There is no other experience like the one we had with Nick. Flying a Helicopter beside Nick was a mind blowing experience I will never forget. It was my first time flying a Helicopter and we flew for 2 hours around Kahoolawe and the coast of Maui past Hana back to the airport. Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life!!! I learned so much how these marvelous machines actually work and will definitely go again and again. One of the peak experiences of my month in Maui. Nick is super professional but also keeps it fun. Couldnt believe how quickly youre able to take over and fly the heli, and even more unbelievable was the terrain up into the gorges and waterfalls of the West Maui mountains. Epic!!!

My brother had recommended that I give them a call after he flew with Go Fly Maui. I did and it was absolutely incredible. I personally never knew how amazing it felt to be behind the controls of an aircraft, but it was exhilarating and partly scary. Nick was a awesome instructor and made me feel safe while flying as well as gave a great breakdown instruction before we flew. I would recommend this over any of the helicopter tours hands down or if you were ever curious about becoming a pilot.

This was honestly one of the best experiences Ive had on Maui. I didnt do much research and wasnt sure what to expect but the instructor was knowledgable and really incredible at both teaching the flight basics and at calming nerves! I would do it again in a heartbeat and am seriously considering gifting a discovery flight to some friends!!!

Nick is an amazing heli pilot, literally the best on Maui. Highly recommend for scenic flights (go see the valleys on Maui and sea cliffs in Molokai) and flight lessons.

Going in, we were both nervous and excited- well more so my husband since he was the one who’s going to be on the pilots seat lol. Nick was very personable and patient. He was a good teacher regarding the mechanics of the helicopter and what to expect. We both felt safe and go let some sick views of Maui. It was a 10/10 experience and would definitely do it again!

Nick and his Happy Helicopter deserve more than 5 stars...For my 80th birthday I was surprised when introduced to Nick and told, He will be your flight instructor. Youre going to fly a helicopter tiday! Gulp, ooohhh-kay.Well, this was an adventure of a lifetime, not only me flying us across the straight between islands, but having Nick fly us into deep valleys and over tall cliffs so that we could see and photograph goats high up on a Molokai ridge, waterfalls tumbling into pools, and the West Maui Mountains caldera and encircling cliffs.My suggestion: dont go with the usual tourist helicopters. Whether you want a personable, calm, delightful instructor to instill confidence in you, or you want to take prize winning photos of the islands of Maui County, Nicks your man.

THANK YOU NICK FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Did an amazing photo tour which allowed for soooooo many pictures! Nick gave us a tour you wont get anywhere else. After a quick safety discussion and a look at the map, we were in the air flying over waterfalls and the most beautiful areas around the island. You’ll never feel you won’t get the perfect picture because Nick has no problem making sure you get the best shot. Did I mention we saw a rainbow? Helicopters go where no one else can get to so it’s a special experience you’ll remember forever! This is what I have been missing all my life. What an awesome and amazing experience we had with Go Fly Maui on the photo tour to see the West Maui Mountains and secret waterfalls that one can only see by helicopter! Admittedly, I was very apprehensive in going due to my conservative and low risk nature coupled with my fear of heights, but Nick flew ever so smoothly. Had a great experience flying with Nick Moran of Go Fly Maui, Nick took my family and I on a sight seeing / photo trip on April 30. Two flights of a half hour or so as there were five of us. Nick gave us a very informative and extensive preflight safety briefing prior to taking us up so we new what to expect. After many years coming to Maui, I was excited to see there is a helicopter flight school now. I am a private pilot from Alaska do decided to take my mom and her friend up and go for a lesson. First, the R44 Clipper II was beautiful and obviously well-maintained. The flight was so much better than any scenic flight with any of the big tour companies and you can pretty much go where you want. My passengers had a blast and this was by far the most fun of anything Ive done here on the island. Ive had around 12 instructors in my flying career now and Nick was one of the best. Hes Safe, confident and easy going and good-natured. It was truly a pleasure flying with him and I learned a lot about local flying while getting a great scenic flight in! Whether youre a high time heli pilot, want to learn to fly in one of the most beautiful locations or just want to do a discovery flight to check it off the bucket list I highly recommend Go Fly Maui!
