My experience with literacy KC as a legally blind student. They really went out of their way to help accommodate me. They are so understanding and helping you achieve your goals.

They get you where you need to be to go and take your test for the hiset.

Dedicated staff and volunteers helping motivated adult learners with reading, math skills, and computer literacy. Day, night, & weekend classes available. They help you succeed. Best of all, it doesnt cost you anything. You can do it!

Called almost a month ago to receive Hiset classes. Called again today and was told they only accept 30 people. So I got there 15 min early and was told only 22 are allowed. It was several Hispanics there as if they had been for a few hours. Like they were told what to do to beat everyone else. I think it is a conspiracy and I will go further. It is unfair to everyone else who deserves a chance to earn their GED. Unfair and racist, Im sure our tax $ are paying for the classes and the building. The white guy was very condescending and was quick to say the next one is not until November. Poor atmosphere and service👎👎👎

LKC is a great place. The staff and volunteers are very passionate, caring, and dedicated to helping the students. I was once a student here. They are very dedicated to helping each student achieve their goals here at LKC. If you are looking to go back to school LKC is the place to be. All are welcomed!!!

Literacy KC is an amazing organization that I really feel fulfills a local need. Improving the literacy level of our citizens benefits all of KC!
