Home away from home! I love the diverse staff and members (18+ to grandmas, all types). You will learn proper and safe techniques, and do take the non pole classes. Classes are designed to work together for maximum fun and fitness goals! The staff is amazing, loving and encouraging, and the members reflect these qualities, as well!! Oh, and they have parties which are amazing!!

I started taking pole classes because I thought it could be a fun hobby but it has become so much more than that for me. It’s given me confidence and appreciation for my body and what it can do. I’ve always felt supported and encouraged without judgement by staff and students. I recently began teaching classes which I’m very excited about! Pole has become one of my greatest passions and I’m very grateful that I get to share that with all of the amazing people here!

The pole classes are so fun and they make it accessible to everyones experience level. Mary and Brittany are both soooo lovely.

I signed up for a class at Poleworx Having no idea what I was getting myself into. The first thing was I was lost. I called the number for the business and ended up talking to the owner for 15 minutes! She was so nice! When I found where I was going, I walked into a beautifully decorated space with graffiti art all over the walls. The studio was not only beautiful, but had nice equipment and good energy. What I experienced in the class was one of the most empowering, inclusive, confidence building activities I have ever experienced. I have never had so much fun in an exercise class. Mary, my instructor, was so easy-going and made the art of pole dancing attainable to every person in the class. She gave everyone individual attention and instruction. The other people in the class were fantastic as well. I felt no judgement, I was completely comfortable, and I have already become friend with several of them!!! t’s only been six days since my first class and I’ve already gone two more times. I needed something to help me build my confidence back after going through breast cancer. Poleworx is the place that will help me in that journey. Take a class, you won’t regret it!

A little more than 12 weeks ago i was looking around Kansas City for a gym. I knew i wanted it be a gym with classes and teachers so i could workout but also ENJOY it. And i found just that with Pole Worx! Pole Fitness had changed my life! (for the better)They have far excieded any expectation i had going into this. More of an open-gym experience with very little instructor led practicing. Floors were not clean and poles were not smooth. Price was good, but spend more and get a place that guides and instructs.

I was talked into taking a class with a couple of girls a decade younger than me, and I thought I was going to be miserable. In actuality, I think I had more fun than they did. The instructor was great; she would show/explain a move, and then let you practice while she walked around helping/giving pointers if needed. Its a full body workout and the price is great. Im looking forward to when I can take another class.

This has been an amazing place to form a community! I have really loved getting to know all the wonderful women here. Its such an inclusive place that also allows me to work on all my pole goals! Cant wait to continue busting out all my pole moves. The price is great, and the instructors really care about working with you to help you learn to dance.

My group had a private party here-30 minutes of Pole dancing and 30 minutes of chair. The instructor was fun and knowledgeable. The studio was clean and inviting. We learned some great moves and had a blast. We are already planning our next event :)

The best workout ever. You will use muscle you never knew you had. The instruction is structured to your skill level. It’s a personal achievement when you conquer a move you’re working on. At Poleworx, the instructors will cheer you on. Helping you to succeed is their goal. Try it out. You won’t regret it.

I started as a member from a groupon. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a fitness class than I have here. The female staff is warm, kind, encouraging, non-judgmental, uplifting it’s been a wonderful atmosphere since day 1. I’m fortunate enough to now teach a class that I’m super passionate about. I don’t think it gets any better than having ladies that are passionate about what they do coupled with hearts of gold.

We had a bachelorette party here and had such a blast! Mary was our instructor and she explained the moves very well for all of us beginners! Can’t wait to come back!

Had my daughters 21st birthday here and they had so much fun! We booked the 2hr party and brought some food and drinks in. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The girls had a ton of fun doing something unique! Highly recommend it for a female fun fest!🤗

I decided to join Pole Worx to try their classes because they were cheaper than many of the gyms near me, and I though pole dance would be a unique workout. Turns out I was right! Ive never been stronger than I am right now and all the girls are lovely. I highly recommend this place if youre not afraid of trying something new!

They were friendly but not very well at making everyone feel included. I thought these classes would have an actual lesson so I bought a 6 month package to make me buckle down and go, but the pole class was just an open gym. I grew up in a ballet studio and understand how close the student and teachers friendships grow, but the class I took was to the point where the teacher didnt even pay attention to any one but her friend. I asked for my money back and they were nice enough to let me candle the 6 month as long as I paid for one month. So at least the customer service is good.

Maybe it is only because I have tried one class, but the instructor did not actually lead a class. I came to Pole Worx with hopes that there would be a lesson and it was open gym. I have been doing pole fitness for more than 2 years and having an open gym, with no guidance can be dangerous. There was a beginner student trying to do advanced tricks that she was not prepared for. Other students, who were also not advanced, were trying to teach her instead of the instructor. When she asked the instructor if she was doing the invert correctly, the instructor told her you can do it however you want. If you have taken a class at a studio where they actually teach, you will learn that you should not do it however you want, because you can get seriously injured that way. Also, when I called earlier to ask about the lessons before purchasing them, the woman on the phone did not in any way indicate that it was an open gym. She told me there would be instruction. It was very disappointing. Although, I purchased a one month pass I have not returned due to the lack of instruction and guidance.

I have had experience in pole dancing before coming here. I came here for two months due to an internship, and I have never been to a better pole studio. I love Pole Worx more than my own studio. The instructors greatly care about the students. If you nail something, they cheer for you, and if you have trouble, they help you improve and show you some things to work on. Every single class is enjoyable, fun, and engaging with a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

For what you pay, Pole Worx is worth it. Its the most affordable pole studio youre going to find in the KC and surrounding area. That said, the facility is lacking. The poles are 50mm if thats something that matters to you. The floors are uneven and known to rip off toe nails if youre dancing without shoes. Some instructors let students do unsafe moves before theyve built the strength to support themselves, while other instructors really know what theyre doing.TL;DR Its cheap, and you get what you pay for. The instructors vary, and the floors are rough. Would love to see this business grow and get a makeover.

Ive been going here on and off for years and it is by far my favorite workout. They have such a variety of classes and their teachers are phenomenal. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a great workout in while having fun and making new friends!!!

I have been coming to Pole Worx for 3 years now. They have great hours and amazing classes. I have tried many aerobics studios and none of the others have the variety of classes and wide variety of class times as well. I also really like that its a woman only gym. They just moved into a new building and have a large aerobics room that is great for the zumba classes. You cant beat it for the membership price.

I am pretty upset because I book a party for my bachelorette party and I booked the date online and paid the deposit. I specified in my notes that I had one male in my party, who is my man of honor, so it was important to me that he was included. Then they told me only after I booked that men werent allowed. I respect those rules, and I wouldnt have booked if Id known, but they wouldnt refund my deposit. Im not upset that the dont take men, Im just upset that I couldnt even get my deposit back, its ridiculous.

I purchased a month membership to try out the classes at Pole Worx, and WOW! I am in love with this place and will definitely continue my membership for as long as Im in Kansas City. Reasons I love Pole Worx:1) The people - The instructors are fantastic! They are also extremely personable and very motivating. In addition to management and instructors, the other class attendees are very uplifting and encouraging. If I were to take any of these classes at a place like 24 hour (which they probably dont even offer fun classes like Pole Worx does), I would be gone in five minutes, but I never want to leave this place!2) The classes - Put me in a spin class and about three minutes in I would be dreading it and wondering when the hell it would end. The classes at Pole Worx are a GREAT workout, and fly by because youre having so much fun!3) The environment - The building at 16th and Genessee is a really cool atmosphere and easily accessible from major highways.All Im saying is, GO THERE! I have nothing but great things to say about it, I feel welcomed, comfortable and have a blast each time I go.

The instructors are some of the most supportive and body-positive people I know! (And the classes are so fun that you forget youre burning all those calories!)

The teachers are fantastic, but the AC is never on ( especially with being in the summertime months it all). I constantly feel as if Im suffocating while I am trying to learn a new stunt, dance or choreograph. This is a common and reoccurring issue. I wouldnt recommend it for anyone who sweats while dancing, seeing as it is quite difficult to Impossible to stick or grasp on to the pole when it is excruciatingly hot, which makes the learning process difficult slipping and sliding off the pole and onto the floor

My girl rants and raves aboutthis place. And we have a pole in the basement. And I can vouch for it. Skills to pay the bills. Its incredible.

I would recommend Pole Worx to anyone who is wanting to have a great time at their Bachelorette party. We did a group class before our night out, Julie who was the one leading the class did a great job! This was the best girls time we had the whole weekend. Check poleworx out for your next girls night out!

Do not come here. Classes are trash, place is dirty, sketchy neighborhood, and most of all, the owner who places stickers outside and on the internet, is scary to say the least. Avoid at all cost!!!!

The pole parties are super fun. I have been to a few bachelorette parties and birthday parties at Pole Worx and its always a really good time. Its something fun to do with just the girls on any special occasion.

Ive visited this studio a couple of times while coming through town, and honestly its not a great pole studio. The facilities are pretty cruddy in comparison to other studios Ive been to. The floors are terrible--you have to wear shoes or socks or risk getting splinters, and doing any kind of floorwork is a no-go. The poles are really thick and difficult to get a good grip on, most of them dont have a spin function, and they feel really crammed in and are set up in such a way that you can only see the mirror from two or three of them. The graffiti on the walls is cool, but other than that the whole place feels a little dingy.Classes are really more of an open gym format, with an instructor present if you have questions or need help. Most of their pole classes are simply Pole--I would have liked to have seen a few more options for level and style of class.The couple of times Ive been, the instructors have seemed to have trouble juggling teaching brand-new beginning students alongside more intermediate and advanced polers. I like learning new things from new teachers, but here I was mostly left to my own devices. The two instructors Ive had were pretty good, I did really like Aimee--she has a lot of knowledge of advanced tricks, and was very patient and friendly.Judging by their website and social media, this place focuses mostly on bachelorette parties and less so on growing a regular client base of pole dance enthusiasts, like most other places Ive been. It kind of seemed like the pole classes here were an afterthought. I heard from one of the other students that the studio is owned by two men who dont pole dance, which would make sense why it doesnt seem like a place thats designed for regular students.Two stars because instructors were nice and seemed to know their stuff, but if youre looking for somewhere to start pole dance classes Id recommend trying somewhere else.

The staff is extremely rude and uncooperative. They had to move us from the 5:00 session to 7:00 because THEY overbooked. When that would not work with my part because of other arrangements they would not refund the deposit. I will gladly find a place with better service!

Fun, chill, empowered, confident, non-judgmental is how I feel attending this gym for eight years. You must have your party here, too! Something different to do with the girls, and you walk away feeling like a rockstar, along with a great workout, whether its pole, chairdance, yogalates or any of their other awesome classes and party options!.Theyre always improving and listen to feedback, too. If its been six months or more since your last visit, come back, and youll notice some updates and changes.I like how they have monthly happy hour parties. Its a fun way to test drive different classes at half price! Fun, sexy fitness!!

We had my 35th birthday party at PoleWorx, and it was a great time! We had a few complicating factors, but the owner helped us navigate everything seamlessly. My birthday is always on Boulevardia weekend, and it gets CRAZY in the West Bottoms. But overall, it was a pretty easy time! We all met for a drink at The Ship, then took a quick Lyft to the drop-off point, where we were able to breeze through the gates and walk right up to the PoleWorx studio.For the class itself:We had 7 girls total, at $20 a piece, and a private instructor. We started with stretching, then some basic pole familiarity, then on to tricks! The last 20 minutes or so was kind of a free play and we got to use the cool spinning pole, and just generally goof around. I learned some cool tricks, and got a way better-than-expected workout. I am SORE today (morning after) in my hamstrings, shoulders, triceps, and hip adductors. Not to mention the bruises I sustained by throwing myself too-enthusiastically at a giant metal pole :P Im not complaining! IT WAS GREAT!Will definitely be back, and I think I might check out their fitness classes too. Theyve got a parking lot right by the door, so under normal circumstances, its super easy access.Thanks, PoleWorx, for a great birthday!

I love this gym! Do not be intimidated to try it! The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly and I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. This gym is not just for pole. One of my favorite things about this gym is the variety of classes offered. It is easy to try new things to keep your workout interesting. There are a lot of dance-based classes like Zumba, hip hop, twerkout, and balates as well as yoga and boot camp. The owners are also very nice and receptive to adding other classes in the schedule if requested. All the instructors I have taken classes from are extremely nice, fun, and accommodating for all levels of fitness. The other ladies who attend classes with me are incredibly nice as well and I have made a lot of friends since joining. I really look forward to my nightly workouts now! Overall, I highly recommend this gym!

Love me some Pole Worx! I found this place when I attended a crazy fun bachelorette party. I love that its a womens only gym and the instructors are super good and very friendly.

We had so much fun at my best friend bachelorette party! We rented a party bus from their partner company and they gave us a free party bus hour while we were at our pole dance class at Pole Worx!! Amazing. Then the bachelorette got to drink free at the bar below Pole Worx, Rockstar Burgers I think was the name of it. It was amazing that little restaurant was a ton of fun also. The atmosphere was really fun! We had a great time at Pole Worx and at the Burger Joint! It was nice being in the same building!

Staff is always late if they even decide to show up, the instructors most of the time do not care, which makes sense, since they are usually filling in for someone who couldnt make it. The floors are very dirty, and the staff is normally rude. I love pole, i just wish that this place was not such a dump. Worst way to waste my money ever.
