It is fast pace but you learn so much in those 8 months. Ms. Mills was a great instructor! I loved the way she taught me. She is very patient, she cares about her students, she made class very Interesting and fun!Ms. Dawn Hill and Ms. Karen Blanks, made my process go very smoothly from the very beginning!

PLEASE do not take the bad reviews lightly like I did. I thought maybe it was just a few people... it is not. I dont even know how this place is still allowed to run. All they care about is your money and not who you are as a person. It is really disappointing as I was excited to start my career. In particular the situation I had was that I had enrolled, had medical emergencies and withdrew my application. Come to find out a couple of months later I had a loan agency trying to tell me I owed over 13K. Concorde never changed my application status and did not even notice it. I had to go in and take care of it. After phone calls and emails I was COMPLETELY IGNORED. They mentioned other people ran into this problem as well. Very unprofessional.

Well I don’t go to the school but I do work for a living delivering groceries for instacart. They ordered 12 cases of water and wanted me to put it in their closet. I explained to them it’s policy “store to door”. So I helped load it on their cart , I had to load it in the store in my car. When I was done, because I wouldn’t take it to their storage closet they took my tip away. Do you really want to go to this school? If they would do this to me just think what they would do to your career.

I got here current for the nursing program and i love this school. There are ALOT of negative reviews about the nursing program but there is a new DON as of a year ago and he cleaned house and the new teachers are AMAZING!!! I really suggest going here if anybody is debating on going. The staff is all so great and helpful. I can get tutors whenever I feel like I am struggling with a subject and the teachers don’t talk down to you and make you feel stupid. There are just so many opportunities.

I graduated from Concorde in 2010. I was in the dental assisting program and got hired on at my extern site as a surgical tech in oral surgery. My teachers were awesome; except for maybe one. I was trained thoroughly in the dental field and had a lot of hands-on experience.I have nothing bad to say about Concorde except for one drawback; your credits will not transfer to a 4-year university should you want to go further, something my admissions counselor led me to believe was possible. However, thats neither here nor there. It was a good experience for me.I am considering going back to Concorde for the dental hygienist program. I will say to those wanting to get into the DH program before going through the DA program is: it is very common to take the DA program FIRST before going into the DH program. You have to work as a DA for at least two years before enrolling in the DH program. Its even like that at UMKC Dental School...at least it was when I looked into a few years ago. However, things change.

I attended and paid way too much money for the DA program. Even after finishing school and going on externships, I found out that I was poorly trained. One teacher would sit in the corner the entire class time and we would have to figure out procedures and things on our own. Most places dont like hiring students from here, due to the poor training. If you want to be taken seriously please go some where else.

Graduated in 09 was offered employment at my externship site yet could not accept employment due to a Government freeze in the state of Ks. Concorde will tell you one thing and give you another, The hard work you put in should be accompanied by the team work from your counselor that is suppose to Assist in locatiing employment. My only complaint is that if your Counselors spends more time dating their boyfriends and leaving on lunches instead of balancing their roles..something is bound to fail. Mr. G should be in admissions and not in Counseling he simply did not have the attitude or drive for his position! They also leave you to figure eveything out ex. Refresher Courses should be made common knowledge not figured out...They were paid and so the student should be Fully informed on Everything!

I attended Concorde and graduated 09/2012, when I was in school it was very hectic. Basically self taught until over 1/2 way through the program after two DONs and many instructors. Clinical experience is a joke here, most clinical sites dont want you touching their patients BECAUSE YOURA CONCORDE STUDENT... except to give insulin and bathe. I didnt give an IM injection or start an IV until after I graduated and started working as an LPN. Thankfully my supervisor was really good about letting me orient for as long as I needed. You will not be prepared to work independently as an LPN from this establishment, they pump out too many fresh nurses who have good book knowledge but no real skills. If you are HIGHLY motivated and can teach yourself, youll get in and out. I will say the prep for the NCLEX is spot on but thats the problem you cant just wire students to pass a test, there has to be real skills behind that knowledge. Most credits do transfer to Penn Valley for that RN except A&P because there is no lab with this program. I am currently enrolled at MCC working on my RN and plan to transfer to UMKC for my BSN.

My sister first attended Concorde for the Dental Assisting program, she was placed with an extern site and hired on before completion. After seeing and hearing the experience my sister had, I enrolled in the Medical Assisting program and had a great experience left feeling prepared and capable. I was hired on 2 weeks into my extern, and worked there till I came back and enrolled in the nursing program. After 18 months in the nursing program with some bumps in the road I feel well trained and ready for my boards. I graduated last week with several job offers, the only advice I can give anyone looking to go to Concorde is, that you should be ready to study, have no life and work hard. Your training to work in the healthcare industry, if you dont put 110% into it you wont get much out of either program I studied at Concorde.

Really poor communication, poor disclosures. If youre reading this and considering this school do some good research because they will only tell you half truths. I just spent 28k on a college thats not regionally accredited and non of the credits will transfer to another school in the area. I cant even get a call back to get my records. I just got pushed from one person to another but no one would return my call after reaching countless voicemails. I will never recommend this school to anyone. If I had done more research and just went to a community college I would have the same career, less debt and a chance of continuing my education.

Ive been at this school for about 2 months and I may not be in extern yet but watching my classmates who are Is reassuring. For those who say they were promised a job with the extern is Not true. They cannot or will not promise you a job. (Not even the top colleges out there can do that.) If you do your best and you are on time, an extern may hire you but never have they ever promised a job to anyone. Its all what you put into it, the instructor that I have now is great he helps you with anything you need, and he had high standards for his students, and truly wants you to succeed, its all what you put into it.

Went for the dental assisting last year; actually dental hygiene, but was pushed into the dental assisting program.... Only to find out after Im enrolld that they didnt have an instructor. We switched between other instructors and the person over the dental program (wont call any names) for about 3-4 months, then they hired an instructor, but had her stretched over other classes. We barely saw her and when we did it was bc she was in trouble over hear-say. This was the biggest waste of money and time. I didnt learn much bc of the inconsistency in instructors and what we were suppose to be doing. Oh, I forgot to mention we didnt get hands on with anything bc nothing was ever ordered in abundance, so being mid morning all the resources/hands-on tools were always gone/used up. I would never recommend this school to anyone. I wish I would have gone somewhere else.Singed,So disgusted.

This school is a absolute joke. They promise jobs after your done with your extern site. And they dont do what they say there going to do. I finished my extern hours in April. 4 months later Im still not employed in the field I was wanting to go in. They have VERY bad communication skills. They are very rude, these people have bad attitudes its ridiculous. You would think they should be professional about some things. But sadly they are not. Also you dont get no certifications when you graduate. Just a diploma. It took them 3 months to give me my diploma. I feel like I wasted 16K down the drain. Its CHEAPER if you go to penn valley as a DA AND you get a degree because its a year long program. Instead of Concorde its only 9. DONT let them sweet talk you into going to Concorde. I honestly think this school shouldnt even be open anymore.🖕🏽

Okay, I will say that they can be very unorganized when it comes to certain things and yes they are very expensive, but thats all colleges..DUH !! I went there and got great training clinical and lecture most of my teachers were great and taught really well. I went to my extern at KU WWIM as their first student and did great I even got a job at KU. So really it depends on you to try your best, apply yourself and gain as much knowledge as you can. Sure, some teachers are in it for the money, but if you care about your future and you know what you are able to put forward then it shouldnt matter!! Im glad I went back to school and got the training I needed, it landed me a great job with the number 1 hospital in KCK..!!

Its funny how the people who are enrolled have so much positive things to say when they havent even been placed. Trust me, sweetheart, you wont and if you do get an externship, they will drop you like a fly after your allotted time! This place doesnt look very pretty on a resume! Its a joke!!!!!!! Good luck with your career when youre trying to draw blood from somebody and they refuse you to because you went to Concorde, happens ALL OF THE TIME. And I am sure these reviews are left by advisors and employees of Concorde. Realllllllllllllly lame! Look at the placement percentage. ;) Go to a real school!
