When I first found out about Little Sprouts Montessori I was beyond excited! I knew I had found a gem. It felt like home. I was a teacher at Little Sprouts for about four years and during that time I watched the school continue to evolve and blossom. The environment is not only aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but very nourishing for the soul as well. Between the inside classroom and the outdoor classroom the children were able to receive exactly what they were needing in order to grown and become more whole independent individuals. The outdoor classroom is filled with wonder! Between the garden and the many farm animals that little sprouts has the children are able to be close to nature. They are able to be so interconnected in the process of gardening that I was seeing many children try new healthy foods and even find their love of gardening! In todays world children are becoming more and more disconnected from nature yet nature is what we NEED on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. I couldnt be more grateful for Little Sprouts Montessori and what it has to offer the children and the parents who become apart of this intimate loving community. I would HIGHLY recommend this school to any parent who is trying to find a preschool for their child.

I had the pleasure observing Little Sprouts Montessori School in November, and was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful layout of the outdoor and indoor classrooms. The urban farm setting was something most Montessori schools lack in this area and I feel it is needed for the true experience of a Montessori school. Everything flowed nicely as the day started and children entered the classroom. Every child was continuously busy with a task during my observation, and the transition times seemed stress free and peaceful. Everything was done to true Montessori fashion from the children helping to prepare their Thanksgiving feast to the student and teacher lead lessons being given. The staff was extremely professional and the facility was clean and neat with Montessori work on every shelf!I was impressed with Little Sprouts Montessori school and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in Montessori education for their child. It was truly a wonderful experience, and one of a kind for the Kansas City area.

I cant say enough about the strong, loving foundation my children received at Little Sprouts. Ms. Natalie has a true gift for introducing little ones to the natural world around them and the wonders of a true Montessori classroom. My children developed a love for learning early on, and it has absolutely carried over into their grade school experience, helping them to become early readers and engaged students. We are beyond grateful for the loving care and the enlightening education they received -- not just the works of the classroom, but learning respect for the wondrous world of nature and being inspired to live as compassionate human beings. I always knew they were in good hands, and always marveled at the peaceful, creative atmosphere there. We wish they couldve stayed at Little Sprouts forever!

Miss Natalie is one of the warmest and inspiring people I have ever met, and there is a reason so many people trust her with their children. My son was a student at Little Sprouts, and it was a fantastic experience for both of us! The school itself is phenomenal and facilitates children connecting with nature and developing a healthy relationship with their food. The children seed plants in the greenhouse, help transfer them to the raised plant beds, and tend to and harvest the very food that is used in their meals. The time and thought that is put into every aspect of this Montessori school and in the childrens learning and growth is evident and apparent. I will always be grateful for the education my son received at Little Sprouts...I cannot recommend LSM and Miss Natalie highly enough.

We loved this school and only wish it would accommodate older students - we didnt want to leave! Our daughter learned everything she needed to learn... but what she experienced is what most impressed us. She grew food from seed to harvest; helped raise goats, chickens, and ducks; received plenty of time for unstructured play. She experienced a true childhood while receiving an excellent education. What more could a parent ask for? Thank you Little Sprouts for all you did for my daughter and all you do for those lucky enough to attend!

I have watched this wonderful preschool ‘sprout’ into such an amazing, and peaceful environment. The leadership and teachers are constantly asking children to be engaged with the world around them. The teachers are always fully conscious and active with the students. I could not dream of a better place to send a child to develope, learn and grow.As a Social Worker, I completely trust the safety of this environment and the professional judgment of the owner herself! It is in my professional opinion that she would always make the correct ethical and moral decision given any circumstance that were to ever arise.Such a beautiful and inspiring place to be!

We are happy to have found Little Sprouts. We wanted to find an environment for our little guy that would challenge him to be self-sufficient, allow him to learn and grow, and support him in his daily emotional battles with himself as a toddler. We have been coming to Little Sprouts for a few months now, and we couldnt be happier with how things are going so far. Theres a lovely garden, ducks and chickens and other indoor pets--and Ive seen a change in our sons behavior since weve been coming here. This is the next best thing to quitting my job and staying at home with him myself. :)

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and here at Little Sprouts, that’s just what Ms. Natalie has created. My daughter has attended this preschool for 2 years now and not only has she grown, but I have grown. The children receive a wonderful education from the highly qualified teachers; they are able to interact with farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, etc.) and they cultivate a beautiful garden each year. Where else can you find this in a city? For the parents, Ms. Natalie and her teaching staff provide Montessori nights – which helps parents learn about the Montessori method, and how to incorporate it at home; they have book clubs, where insightful books about parenting methods are read and discussed - what works, what doesn’t, what we can do different, better. This sense of community is so vital in today’s world. This is a loving, nurturing, intuitive environment for the whole family. It can be a tough choice deciding where a child will spend their formative years and I would choose Little Sprouts again in a heartbeat.

The absolute best!!!! We consider all of the staff at Little Sprouts family. My son is very shy and had pretty serious separation anxiety and everyone worked to make sure we all adjusted great!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We enrolled my nephew and told her that her had some behavioral issues bc he has suffered abuse and that we were working with counselors. She assured us that she knew all about it and could handle it. She said she would make sure there was always someone watching him at all times, like they should be doing at every school, and that is not the case. I walked into the school to pick him up, and saw no teachers; as a matter of fact, I got all the way out to the playground without anyone noticing a stranger was walking around amongst the children. When I finally found him, he was hiding under the playground equipment bc he had an accident. He was there for so long unattended that he had blisters on his bottom. We had to take him to the dr for medical attention. This school offers no real educational program. She is a glorified babysitter, and talks to the children like they are stupid. She was always rude to us, and then once we told her we were going to take him out of her school and move him to a real school, she got pissed and said that she couldnt handle him and that he was not allowed to come back, even though we had already paid and he was going to stay thru the time we were paid up...and she said that was unacceptable and he was not allowed to come back, but wouldnt give us the money back. So, he suffered more abuse at her hands because she refused to treat him like a human, and ignores all the children. I should have never been able to get into the building, much less out to the playground without someone escorting me. Would you want your children in a daycare (bc thats all this place is, and a terrible one at that) where strangers can just walk in and start talking and hanging out with your kid?
