Currently in the DA program, and have been so blessed. The staff are incredible, and Mrs Samantha truly goes above and beyond to ensure that all learning abilities/styles/ and methods are done so nobody is left in the dark. All the staff on campus are so friendly. It truly has been such an incredible experience, and I’m ready to see where this journey takes me.

The teachers are amazing, but the financial aid department is very hard to get in contact with. I live in Gatesville, so its better to call than to drive 45 minutes to talk to financial aid. On several occasions, I called the school to speak with financial aid, and every time I called, no one answered. One time I actually had to drive to the school to talk to someone, because it was important. Also, when I got a student loan, my student account showed that my loan was credited to my ledger and was told that it should be in my account on a Friday. I never got it so I had to email a different department to find out that I wouldnt even get my loan until the next semester. Other than that, I like the school and programs provided.

I’m currently attending vista college to be a dental assistant. I absolutely love it here! They have some of the best teachers who actually makes sure you learn what you need to know. I don’t regret coming here at all!

I am in MA program and I just want to say I love my teachers I’ve had and I feel really supported by the staff members. The business office woman is on point and really cares about taking care of the students needs and questions. I would definitely recommend coming here.

They weren’t very helpful at all when it came to my transcripts when I told them it was very important it has been more than the anticipated amount of days to wait and still nothing. This school would be good if the teachers actually wanted to be here. Theres two I can think of that actually helps with learning. Youll be getting all the information from an online book (good luck signing into wifi). The material presented is to be learned within 4, 5 hour school days. If you work and go to school be prepared mentally. I actually find the staff to be somewhat rude with very few exceptions.

Was in da program my instructors were awesome, but the school fails in every way of being professional, one lady in student services was talking to me and called me by the wrong name when I corrected her she told me I know your name okay, that’s a pretty gross response but whatever. Externship was the worst part , ms. Deneisha was horrible at her job well they all were, once you leave the school you aren’t any concern for them, you were literally on your own i had to count on extern site for any support or help. I would like to say in all honesty the instructors were great. The school definitely needs to do more hands on training instead of constant book work.

Never again. Vista college failed me! When I got to my externship about two weeks in, I went to the director telling her I had issues with my site and asked to be switched MULTIPLE TIMES but was told no. Vista college waited for my site to drop me, then basically tell me I’ll owe the VA money and Fasfa. There’s better schools in the area that offer the same program, i just wish i did my research first instead of picking vista because it was convenient.

The school is very unprofessional they put the Nursing program to a halt without any explanation as to why. They kept telling us for a week that somebody would contact us with more information and nobody has contacted anybody in the current enrolling semester. Then when we call for information we’re given attitude saying they just don’t know what’s going on. You have students that have uprooted their lives and their families and moved to the Killeen area to attend this nursing program. It’s been two weeks but still no word.Update: 2 months and still nothing

I just graduated from Vista College. My experience with Vista College was overall good. My teachers are knowledgeable without a doubt, and have great energy. I would like to thank HVAC Director Tolley James, Instructors Miller, DeLacey, and Wordinger for helping me along my path. Ms. Liz Rodriguez was a tremendous help when it came to keeping me and my family afloat during my year and I express a deep sincere gratitude to her even after graduating. I had the worse experience with them love some of the dental assistant teachers but the higher ups and career services sucked and was horrible they threw me out to the wolfs then it’s always a problem to get in contact with them or they ignore your complaints at the end I quick it was way to much then we had to extern for 180 hrs all the other schools only had to do 40 and they charged my financial aide 2500 for extern class and I wasn’t even at the school I had to use my gas and time to go drive to work for free worse school ever very much a scam wish I could put zero stars!!!

My husband goes to school there they made him and his fellow class buy a book that the program director told business office they did not need but forced them to get it anyways fast forward to today they was buying books back but refused to buy that specific book back due to it is to old (2012) mind you that was only a few months ago that they forced everyone to buy. My guess is they did that so they would not have to absorb the financial burden. We are extremely upset and disappointed in Vista for doing this to the very students who pay alot of money to get an education.

The absolute worst place to be a student at. The instructors are sub-par, the staff is insane and they come up wit new rules everyday to try to fail you at. Dont even begin to have a life outside of school. If something happens out of school and you have to miss they will not care dock your attendance, say that they will kick you out and then on top of everything else they will dock your grade for being absent. so even if you make all 100s you will still not even get close to a decent gpa. The only reason it is easy to get into this school is because they come up with reasons to make you quit or get you out of the school and you will still owe the student loans. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

One star is for the instructors because they are great, but as for the administration they are not helpful. They are quick to sign you up for school since it is a For Profit School which basically means the more heads the more money the school gets, keep the owners happy, and their pockets fat with money. They dont tell you that a degree plan is not certified by the Veteran Affairs so you are not getting paid by the VA, G.I Bill, until it is certified. As of now its been three months with no payment given to the Veterans who signed up in October for Medical Billing. They will tell you they waiting on the VA and to take a Hardship Loan from the school but why they need to get all in someones finances when theyre the ones who fail to inform the person prior to enrolling. When asking for status they continue to tell the Veteran theyre waiting on the VA. People count on that money that theyre ENTITLED to and all they can do is a hardship loan, why not take money out of their profits and pay the Veterans the money theyre entitled to and just get with the VA once theyre certified, since they GUARANTEE its going to be approved. Put your money where your mouth is and pay the Veterans.*Update*Looks like the Veterans will not get paid March 1st, still Vista making excuses and blanking the VA. Some people in the MIBC program since August have not got paid

This is school is the exact definition of Ghetto. The students are what make the place trash, I never felt safe here. The students and teachers are bullies, it isn’t a safe environment to learn. The teachers don’t care, they aren’t even real teachers. I don’t think they know how to teach anything. They just want your money honestly. Don’t go there if you wanna deal with Killeen’s trash.

2017-2018 I attended Vista College as a dental assistant student. I loved the energy and emphasis the institution brought. The staffs were polite, well dressed, and organized. I enjoyed the professors (all females) that taught each of our classes with proper instructions and clarifications. I enjoyed my classmates; we shared ideas, we were relatable on certain topics, we worked together and we learned as a family. My hands on experience with performing procedures in the lab was well taught and appropriate. I love how Vista College recognized their students hard work, academic accomplishments and achievements throughout the semesters with awards. Vista College was my starting point and proudly I graduated with honors top of my class with a GPA 3.76(A). I truly enjoyed attending this institution. Life changer indeed! 😍💯❤📚

WORTH THE TIME AND THE DIME🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I went in today for a trim and flat iron...To my surprise I got a free deep conditioning which I sorely needed... I had a great stylist named Alexis and her insturctor guided her every step of the way through my trim... Not to mention I had the privilege of sitting in while the manager consulted another client and gave her the honest truth about the expectation of the outcome of the service she was requesting... She was very professional while at the same time being brutally honest...I had a fantastic experience and will be going back for other services... If I could give this school a zero I wouldFirst things first I was wrong for not listening to my gut feeling and taking these other reviews into consideration Vista Colleges vocational nursing program is fairly new and hopefully won’t be around much longer they are a big waste of time.... they make you go back in forward with paper work but fail to prepare you for the projected start date they seem to be very money hungry and I’m glad I found out and still have the I’ll to use benefits with a better put together college I Was turned around on my first day of school for being out of uniform that I had to supply on my own dime granted that is fine but along with making sure you have all assigned documents admissions fails to tell you you will wait up 2 weeks for Vista approved uniforms so you are expected to find all black solid uniforms with no lines with only 48 hours to prepare after going back in forward with the college for 3 months this was not stated no students are government sponsored or financial aid and may not have the funds after quitting your job to supply said items after being turnt around the time counts against your class time so your already set up to fail because full information on the strict requirements of dress code is not stated until the 8 hour plus orientation which is usually held the weekend prior to start date you will be expected to quit your job so how are you expected to provide yourself with these items if information is with held admissions works diligently to get you Signed up for there own benefits but don’t set you up for success before your start day and unprofessional group of people very disappointing experience couldn’t imagine how my school year would’ve been if I was turned just for having lines on my scrubs it’s sick will take my hard earned veteran benefits else where where I can be informed and appreciated

Very unprofessional, unorganized. Different information coming from other people. Found out I had a student loan which they never mentioned. Yes this is a little on our part I should have read in depth more but no one really reads if they have been told the information. All I was told was that I needed a parent plus loan, a student loan was never mentioned.During my time here too I felt like because of my age that they were being unfair to me more so than others. I will never attend this unprofessional school ever again. Waste of money, waste of time.

It is really a shame how the college is run. Staff seems to care more about drinks and food in the classroom than what actually is going on in the class. If they put as much effort into making these classes better as they do with the food/ drink/ uniform policies we would have students receiving a much better education for their money. Career services has been less than helpful. I have given up trying to get help because the time I spend looking for their help is better used just helping myself. Front office has managed to lose my transcripts twice and then they look at you as if it is not their issue. The front office staff are only really helpful if you are enrolling, after you are in as a student they are harder to reach if you have questions unless of course you had to miss a day or are late on a payment. The instructors for the most part are amazing and they really do care about the students. Their ability to teach and to care unfortunately gets overshadowed by the other parts of this school that times their hands.

After reading the reviews, I was really nervous about going here to get my hair cut and permed. However, I had a really pleasant experience. People forget that youre going to a school! These are students, and the price reflects that. Its not going to be a typically salon experience. Overall I was very pleased.

My experience with Vista College has been one headache after another. I did get the pleasure of meeting and learning from some amazing teachers from the dental program, however some classmates of mine were highly unprofessional and seemed to fight and bicker a lot with one another, which does make it hard to focus and concentrate on the actual learning. The Vista Killeen staff do dress pretty provocative considering the school is supposed to be a place of learning. Also, if you are interested in a Dental Program, the program Vista offers is way over priced compared to other schools that offer this program, by a fraction of the cost. Wish I could rate it a zero this school is the biggest con Ive seen in my entire life. There instructors r very unprofessional. The old director Dr Glasgow of the nursing program was a hot mess. They dont know how to talk to people. The lvn program had a cheating scandal and students that failed and they still passed them through. They deleted other bad reviews on there page and block people that hop on there reviews and give bad reviews. This place is not worth the money go to a local community college. If you take the lvn program here no college will accept any classes as transfer credits so u basically waisted ur time. If u dont believe it call other community colleges and 4 year universitys and ask if any credits will transfer. U have been warned. Run now!!!!

Current student at this school VERY unprofessional I havent learned a thing and way to much drama from the instructors I could have spent my money somewhere else where I could get a decent education and learn something. Also for future reference if youre leaning into going to vista make sure to not miss a certain amount of hours or you will be dropped from my experience Ive seen its not fair to the students who pay that much money to attend and get dropped for no reason. Had an appointment scheduled for today, my initial beautician ended up not coming to class, the second person I was scheduled with didnt show up so third time was a charm. She was really nice and did really good, HOWEVER when I went to pay, by looking at the prices on the wall my service should have been $13, I ended up paying $33 to get my hair shampooed, trimmed and flat ironed because they said some bs about curly hair being more expensive and hair texture. Are you kidding me! Ill never to there again...

This school is terrible. it is way to expensive for the education you get. now the 2 dental instructors are great, but the school wont pay the money for the extra supplies in the lab to get the actual hands on. they refuse to buy more temporary materials to learn and state we should learn by watching. I didnt pay 23,000$ to get told that i cant do hand on. there is drama in the classes and then they suspend the entire program from the outside groups. even if they had nothing to do with the issue. they complain if i have to leave early even if we are finished with everything, the director Mr. Garrett is garbage. and the student services is GARBAGE. Mrs. Hickman who is over dental is rude and unnecessary . I WOULD RECOMMEND temple dental assistant school which is 3 month for about 4$ so save 20,000 and DONT GO HERE!

Being apart of this MA program is great. Great information. Great learning. Instructors so far are great in the MA program. However, I won’t recommend Vista for MA if you asked me. I’ve seen more students get dismissed from the program for attendance then who graduate. This attendance policy here is outrageous, Vista will blame it on the law (TWC) and stand by their no excuse policy. I’ve brought my issues up to staff and department head and they would definitely listen to only give an unsatisfactory response. They will say your attendance has everything to do with “Professionalism” all the while escorting Pregnant women off campus for violating “attendance probation. “ the administrators will find every way to blame to student before looking at the policy itself and trying to address that. I once informed an instructor that I have a disorder called ACC (as well as TBI and other issues) which often prevents me from from effective studying for test 2-3 days prior... all she heard was “excuses.” So as I’m only in vista to take advantage of my 9/11 benefits... I’ve grown to accept that ultimately Vistas “no excuse” and “attendance “ policy along with a few other policy’s translate to the lack of concern for the student and are more focused on creating “emotionless healthcare professionals. “ I’m leaving this review, because it’s apparent that your voice isn’t really heard at Vista. So maybe Texas Workforce Commission will see this and make changes. Oh and just to use an example of the absurd nature of the attendance policy... “ I had stomach (#2) issues and used the restroom and was written absent for an hour ( instructor knew my location). So in a short review... if you choose vista DO NOT BE or GET PREGNANT, DO NOT USE THE RESTROOM during class hours, and remember There is NO EXCUSES so leave your problems at Home!Oh and The MA Program is a only a certificate program. Do your research before hand because certificate programs are typically nontransferable.

As a current student vista is a poor choice for a school, the immediate staff are frisndlyand helpful, but vista is extremely expensive compared to other schools, and unlike most schools in America spring break is recognized not at vista, No absentee excuses are recognized, and an absence of 14 consecutive days results In termination, now is that fair if im injured or need child care during spring break!!! Vista is a push thru college their only concerns are money they want students in and out asap no impediments!!!! Ill definitely never attend for another degree or certification, and wouldnt recommend it to anyone seriously!!!!

Hi my name is meisha! I am currently taking the Dental assisnting program at the Killeen location! I absolutely love the program and my instructor Mrs. Sandra is awesome! The director however tends to show mixed signals and a lack of professionalism. But overall my experience has been pretty good with vista :)

I studied for two associates degrees, first IT, then MIBC. The IT degree would have been fine, but I was interested primarily in computer repair, not network maintenance. Even so, most students fail to find jobs locally in this field, and with the previous head of IT being fired, they no longer have anyone competent in charge. Avoid this program. MIBC was a joke. Teachers were unqualified to teach, and the program is grossly misrepresented as prepping students for an actual job. But they dont prepare students for the certification exams, and dont teach the updated information necessary for working anywhere. Most students that choose to stay in the field end up going somewhere else for cert prep and REAL learning.

The salon work is mediocre. Its mainly for old people. They are not up to date on current hairstyles. There are haters and drama amongst them and the clients get caught in the middle. Be careful, the instructors there will hate on you too ESPECIALLY this HUGE AMAZON GERIATRIC black instructor with short nappy plaits and glasses. They will also change the price and try to double or triple the cost AFTER they are finish with your hair... they told me $80 before I sat down, 10 minutes before leaving the geriatric tried to make it $240 and then $160 and she didnt even work on my hair.... so make sure you get it in writing before you sit in a chair. The stylist didnt even finish my hair because this HATER instructor was making a stink in her diapers about my hair. If you can find somewhere else to go PLEAES DO!!! Its not worth it unless you are a GREAT GRANDMA getting a style your granddaughter can do for you at home. Js

When I enrolled into the Vista College HVAC Program, I didnt really buy into the negative reviews on websites. Well Im about to graduate from the HVAC Program and just want to say DONT DO IT They dont have the proper tools for the students to use, they dont have a student to training aid ratio. They never have the proper materials to conduct the training. When you enroll you will start off in a safety course which is great, then you could possibly end up the next 5 weeks of class in an advanced HVAC class and then 4 months down the road learn HVAC theory. There is really no structure to the curriculum. This program must not be audited or checked on, becuase it would be shut down.P.S. The rumor on the street, and from talking to HVAC workers buisness owners around town, CTC College students get out of school better prepared to work!DO NOT GO TO VISTA COLLEGE HVAC PROGRAM.

Well I wanted some Information so I walked in to the Killeen campus and I was not greeted even after I said hello,I stood there and two young ladies were at the front desk area. I waited for about 2 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help then I proceeded to walk out ,then one of the ladies asked if I needed help after the fact, I kept going and didnt turn back .Bad first impression of the school. I am no longer interested in going here.

It wasn’t hard to get ahold of them before I registered, but now that I’m graduated I’m waiting on a $1,900 check that seems as though I’ll never recieve. I had to send in my tax transcripts twice because the paperwork got lost the first time. (Something I wasn’t aware of) then they offered to pay me $900 instead, claiming they’d been trying to contact me for “months”. I graduated over three months ago and I’m ready to be finished with vista college, yet I’ve had to go up there many times (I live 30 minutes away) to try to get this check thing settled. I’m trying to start my career and this money would help me out a lot, but it seems as though I won’t recieve it anytime soon.

This place is a joke. So many bad experiences for myself, family and someone I just watched try to get their hair.She went in at 1pm, for a wash, clip, color, flat iron. They were done after 8pm, and sje received black hair, chop. I cant believe this school is still open. Wish I could find out who license these school to certify people with a piece of paper without being able to actual perform the service.When I went they chopped my natural hair up to my ears, said black people hair doest feather and couldnt achieve a simple bob with honey blonde highlights just in the front.

I am a current student and a veteran. I would never recommend this school to anyone. Yes the teachers are GREAT, but if you want all your money for BAH with the Post 9/11dont go to this school. You will never receive the same amount every month. The VA rep has lied to numerous of students as far as why we are not receiving the full amount that we are entitled too. If I wasnt so close to finishing school I would disenroll and go to another school. I have found numerous of schools in the surrounding area that go 3 days out the week or m-thursday just like vista and their students receive their full amount. Yes they go from 8:30 am to 1 pm just like Vista.

Im currently trying to transfer my credits and im being told that vistas credit hours did not count because they are not considered an accredited college... If you want to actually learn and absorb the knowlege instead of being told to read 60 chapters & do online homework everyday, then this is NOT the college for you. They lie about the costs, the supposed dedicated & respected teachers who barely show up to class. One class I had a sub who had to step on for the entire emester and she had NO CLUE WHAT SHE WAS TEACHING! We taught her! Sad. Im warning whomever

Vista College Killeen 5/23/16-5/23/17Terrible business Office management and financial aid Services. I tried to inform this school about personal issues on transportation and housing but instead I was withdrew for attendance in order to hit corporate financial guidelines and goals. I am homeless and told the school of my issue and they still withdrew me and now Im barely alive and trying to finish this process alone. Vista received 4 federal loan amounts disbursed on May 19th in my name that I applied for due to financial and housing hardship and I still have not received them. I was told last week to come pick it up Friday after 12pm and then I was conveniently withdrew through email that Thursday the day before picking up the check. Meanwhile, I had been physically and electronically keeping the school informed on my whereabouts and still continuing to get into the class environment. I would have still been participating in school today if my funds were available to me instead. Only reason I completed the financial loan process was because I was told i would receive the funds usually within a month, and a week after receiving my disbursment email stating the school received the funding. It is now June 10th and I was withdrew conveniently May 22, before I could pick up my check that Friday and told to wait up to 3 more weeks due to my attendance. Which was the reason for the loan, This is a Terrible school. And they have no care or Conscious in their action. I will not refer this non profit for profit EDU. My attendance numbers were the only excuse this school gave me even though knowing my situation personally, which is a spit in the face. Rant done, Ms. Howell in Student Advising and Anthony in Financial Aid are the only two I can vouch for.Listen to warnings through reviews of this community college...because I did not and Im paying for it. I was at this school for a full 11 month period with a GPA a lil less than 3.86 before situations turned left, I truly needed assistance that 12th month and excuses of me using staff and manipulation is what I got from the director. Blessings

Worst school ever, poor communication, unorganized

Dont waste your time because that is all youll get out of this school. The teachers dont have degrees they are VERY unprofessional yet they want to drill it in your head to be professional. The instructors walk around gossiping about students and nother showing tact they talk to you in any kind of way because and I qoute they arent the ones sitting here. The financial aide system is backed up with only 2 people covering the money therefore no one gets their financial aid checks on time. Students are waiting months after checks are supposed to go out to get them. We get write ups for voicing our opinion on the level that they approach us. They give out awards for I qoute we give out awards as more of motivation but not because we deserve it. There are students who are A students and have never received an award. Overall if I could switch schools and theyou send the VA back all their money Id definitely would switch 100%.

I attend school here its a nice friendly environment but not enough for student to learn with most of the time I find myself buying supplies I need on top of what i paid for schooling
