My son has been coming here since he was in kindergarten. The instructor works well with kids. He is calm and really focuses on making the instruction fun and yet disciplined enough for the kids to listen. As they get older, he begins to challenge them more and their focus improves greatly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to integrate the love of martial arts to your kids. Not as a competition sport but more of a lifestyle and integrating it into your life. Master Rhee is great with the kids.

Wonderful Tae Kwon Do school. Instills values, teaches differences between Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Martial Arts, Kung Fu to the kids. This is not the most strict and traditional Tae Kwon Do program. Master Rhee makes it very educational, fun, disciplined, and is over the top supportive for the kids that need it. We needed Tae Kwon Do to help create confidence in our kids. Black Belt Academy in Laguna Hills achieves just that. Many thanks.

Truly a Master by every meaning of the word! Master Rhee not only teaches the students Taekwondo, but teaches them discipline, life skills, and self defense. This was the best choice I made for my twins (boy and girl)! My daughter really hones her skills and my son is really learning to control his strength. Thanks Master Rhee!

Master Rhee has taught both of my kids now. He is great with children, helping them build self confidence and respect for others. He teaches about Korean culture, leadership as well as self defense.

My son has been taking lessons at Black Belt Academy for three years. Master Rhee has always shown kindness and integrity when dealing with the children. He is a true Master when it comes to TKD. He was born & raised in Korea where he earned his title. He trained the Korean Army in martial Arts and graduated from the most prestigious University in Korea. He takes his teaching seriously and brings out the best in his students. I have looked at other studios but the Masters do not have the credentials that Master Rhee has.I highly recommend this studio.

Our two kids have been with Master Rhee for 6 yrs (since they were 4yo and 6yo) and will continue as long as the kids stay with tae kwon do. His students usually stay with him until they go off to college and often comes back during the summer. They absolutely love and respect him. He is a fantastic instructor with a good balance between skills and developing good character. He knows how to communicate with kids, motivate them and give them self confidence. We are so fortunate to have Master Rhee develop our children to be good little people in this world (while developing their tae kwon do skills).
