I came to this school for IR course. I didn’t finish this course. I spent 16000$ in the Pandemic time(when people lost the job and any income) and I flew 81.5 hours there and passed all requirements for the check ride. I waited for the date of my check ride, but my Instructor Darya Wallshein(she is owner of this school) extended this time for the pumping money. This is conflict of interest - to be owner and flight instructor. When my balance was ended she started to ask me about my work. You will never receive the date of your check ride before she will take all your money. Also she try to charge more, she includes taxes for the flight training. Unbelievable! This is non-taxable. She started to lie from the start of first meeting. Also, she didn’t cover full fuel expenses. She allows herself to humiliate and taunt her students, saying that she needs to make videos and post them on Instagram. Darya Wallshein is a liar under good looks. You can see on this photo taxes for a flight training. No one school doesn’t charge for taxes, because all education is untaxeble.

I was struggling to find a flight school with good running multiengine to do my commercial multi add-on and one of my friend recommended AIRMAX Aviation. I couldnt be happier with the Piper Aztec they use to train. Its clean, fast, and comfortable. Darya is super nice, communicative, and overall worked with me and was able to get me a checkride within 2 weeks notice. Iain was my flight instructor and he was great. He easily transitioned me into the multi-engine and gave me useful information about the aircraft and multiengine technique that was easy to understand. I would definitely would recommend AIRMAX to anyone that wants to fly a fun, fast and reliable twin for their add-on.

I heard about air max aviation from a local FBO manger at the airport who recommend to my dad to take me for lessons. Very cozy office/hanger plane is clean. Flight instructors are very pleasant, patient and experience. Ppl ground course was very helpful. Can wait to finish my private!Thank you Maren and Dara.

I can’t speak highly enough about Airmax, the instructors I worked with, or their relationship with surrounding flight schools. I came in with a very tight schedule and commercial check ride already planned and they were amazing about working around my limitations and making it happen. They took their time to work on ground prep for the oral and to prepare for each flight so that I wasn’t running up the Hobbs time unnecessarily. Dara was professional and friendly and very well organized. After working with her a few days we found out Roman had worked with my DPE for commercial check rides before so I switched over to working with him, also very professional, friendly, and organized. The whole team worked together on covering Romans scheduled ground training and flights so that he could dedicate more time to helping me prepare for the check ride the following day.Overall I felt well prepared, and as though I had had the highest of care and respect during my short time training with them. Their hangar space is clean and well set up for ground instruction and studying and the Cherokee I flew was very well maintained, safe, and clean as well.I would recommend Airmax, Dara, and Roman to anyone looking for a safe, fun, successful progression in their aviation career.

This was the worst flight training experience I have ever had. If you are thinking about learning to fly here, I would just like to recount my experience with them as their paying client. This was back in July 2020; I dont normally waste my time writing negative reviews for businesses, but their behaviour and attitude were so egregious that this has weighed on my mind since then and I simply have to let my honest opinion be known. u2028I came to South Florida in July as an ICAO commercial pilot with a couple of years of part 135 experience. After speaking with Jim from Skywalker Aviation, my lessons were contracted out to Airmax Aviation. Firstly, instructor Darya was clearly preoccupied with other tasks at the time, and seemed to treat our lessons as an inconvenience and my presence as an annoyance. The quality of the lessons suffered because of this, as she was disorganised, flustered and communicated poorly. During every communication she was either sullen, irritated, abrupt, distracted, aloof, or a combination of the above.My first and only flight with her verged on traumatic. Being ICAO trained, my aircraft handling was slightly different from the FAA fine points. Also, I hadnt flown regularly for nearly 8 months and was very rusty; both my proficiency and confidence were down. She had an emotional outburst when she didnt like the way I flew and went into conniptions, mid-air.There was nothing dangerous or unsafe about the flight, no emergency, no action required on her part except perhaps instructor critique, but she flew into a screaming fit and yanked the controls out of my hands. I was stunned, I didnt even want to fly anymore. I lost confidence for weeks after this…Further, we flew to another airport to land, lengthening the flight at my expense as the paying client, just so that she could refuel with cheaper avgas prices than at Lantana. Completely unnecessary for my purposes, but she had no hesitation in foisting that extra cost onto me.We landed back in Lantana after the worst instruction I had ever had, if you can even call it that. She subsequently ordered me to put the cover on her aircraft, as if I worked for her, instead of the other way around. I did it with neither comment nor complaint, but it was a weird role reversal, and the vibe really was as if I was her menial inferior, despite the fact that I was paying her.While I was doing so she complained to Jim: she didnt want to fly with me any longer because I had argued with her. I certainly had asked aircraft-based questions of her, up until her loss of control at least. Apparently this constitutes arguing; I dont know, maybe it does... It certainly didnt warrant her execrable behaviour mid-flight. There was no post-flight debrief, just a mess in my logbook as Darya wrote a flight review for the wrong type of license, and then disappeared in a huff.The next day, I went to see Jim Walker to express my concern. He refused to listen; refused to acknowledge my frustrations. He told me I was an aggravating student who just wanted to argue with everybody; I certainly was arguing with him by then. He told me that I should go find somewhere else for flight training; well on that we could agree! But I couldnt believe they could treat their clients like this, even without the nearly $1000 that I had already paid. I continued to complain about their treatment of me until Jim threatened to call the police to have me removed... Disgraceful, disrespectful, the height of contempt and disregard. Shameful.

I finally did something I’ve always wanted to do!My flight instructor, Darya, was very knowledgeable and experienced. She is a very safety conscious pilot and explains everything in detail before and during the flight. Darya is a very friendly and patient instructor. My flight was amazing and very enjoyable!I highly recommend Airmax Aviation to anyone who is considering taking flight lessons or wants to pursue a career in aviation.

Best flight school in South Florida, hands down. Very professional, serious and safe. Been training there for a couple weeks now and flown with Dara. I couldnt be happier. I have had the most amazing experience at Airmax Aviation. I got my PPl license today and couldn’t have cannot be happier! Getting your PPL is a journey but Dara is there with you every step of the way and makes time to work with your schedule. Her facility is kept very nice as well as the airplane. She made the experience as fun as it was challenging and prepped me well to handle the checkride.

A great place to learn how to fly! I transferred to work on my instrument and Darya has made the material easy to understand and the flights are always a lot of fun! I can’t wait to eventually continue onto my commercial training here!

Ive been in Aviation as a career for 30 years. In that time Ive know many flight instructors and schools around the country. Im so happy to have chosen AIRMAX AVIATION and my Flight Instructor Darya to train me towards my private pilots license. Safety is the first priority and the AIRMAXs Piper Cherokee is always very well maintained and Im confidant in the airplane each time I take off in it. The Airmax Hangar and training facility is comfortable, homey and a great environment for ground school lessons and study.

Honesty and integrity are lacking in many FlightSchool’s, but not in this one Darya is the most honest CFII you’ll ever meet and her flight training is genuine.Darya is truthful, professional and above all will get you to where you need to be in the most efficient time frame and to a standard that is, in my opinion better than most of the FlightSchool’s

Ive always had some minor fears about flying but despite that I decided to take a discovery flight in the area at AirMax Aviation after asking around for recommendations. besides the ratings in here I went to several different schools and asked where they would go to get re-certified. They all said AirMax.When I arrived I came to a very nice office with a beautiful airplane inside. The instructor took us up slowly and I felt absolute confidence in my instructor.  Then she asked me if Id like to take the controls for a few minutes and I did and she held on to him as well to make sure that I was going in the right direction.  After about an hour or so we started to make our approach for landing and we touchdown without any wheel noise at all it was like we just glided onto the ground and I felt 100% confidence in my instructor and what we were doing.  Im looking forward to another flight real soon and Im excited to work on my private pilot license as well.  Dara is patient, kind, explains everything well and an excellent instructor. .Since writing this review Ive had several more flights at Airmax Aviation and also spent time at Skywalker Aviation. Ive flown on both the Piper single engine Cherokee and the twin engine plane. Both are in top shape. Ive also been to ground school and enjoyed all thoroughly.Dara is a great instructor, confident is an understatement. Shes a pro, and very easy to fly with. Great personality and totally professional. I have no doubt she could keep us safe.
