Both of my kids graduated from this school in 2015 and 2017 and they LOVED the school! At first I was undecided and wasnt sure if this was a good school or not! But Im happy they went to this school and graduated from it! They have AWESOME programs and GREAT electives more than the other high schools that around!

Hello parent of 8th grader deciding on whether to put your kid in this school or another,I am a senior this year, and honestly, I give it around a 90 out of a 100. Let me tell you, the sports here at LVHS are one of the best programs to put your kid in. We have dozens of kids competing at Regionals and handfuls earning state titles/rings every year. However I will not lie, there is favoritism when it comes to school clubs or sports or programs. Teachers, counselors, and administration seem to be more lenient with anything if your child is involved. However if your child is excited about trying new things like joining the guitar, band, sports, crossfit, art, orchestra, theatre, and the dozens of different programs and clubs we offer here at LVHS then high school should be a blast. Academically, it IS intellectually stimulating.... That is if your child is an AP or Honor Student. If not, I highly recommend they challenge themselves because regular classes are a joke at this school. No creativty, no participation.. But education and motivation begins at HOME! Anyways, the staff is great, and I have made friends with lots of teachers. Surprisingly, many of them are old-school and really really care about the well-being of their students. Also, it is almost impossible for someone to not graduate unless they fail a class and even then, we offer credit make-up classes, academic opportunity, and mandatory academic detention to make sure work gets completed. If your child is missing a credit or does not graduate, it is because they deliberately tried to fail. There are always athletic recruits who have eyes on Vegas kids, regardless of which sport it is. The negatives about this school in MY personal opinion is the lack of counselors, bathrooms, and lack of academic opportunity outside of high school. Our counselors are amazing. But they are always so very busy and thats great because theyre getting stuff done but there are a LOT of students who need a lot questions answered and guidance for their future. They will make time for you though. Bathrooms arent all that fantastic. And scholorships? If youre not top 20 in your class, forget about it. P.S., dont take AP Physics, AP World History, or AP Chemistry unless you want to say goodbye to your social life! Best classes to take are AP Literature (Philosophy/Life class you seen in those movies), Psychology, Ceramics, and Weight Training or Crossfit for those who like lifting weights or want to get fit. School lunch is worse than prison food but they are always selling a variety of better foods so... If they have loose $$ they should be fine on food. Thats pretty much it. Oh and dont be late or absent. Goodluck!

Terrible services and terrible experience, not as bad as other schools but still very low quality of learning and the teachers dont keep themselves in check on how to treat their student, some teachers are the bullies
