Today my daughter who is a 9th grader got he first D ever. Not because she refused to try. Not because she didn’t do her work. My daughter got a D because this school is in the middle of becoming the largest school in the country. They went from hundreds of students to thousands in the one year. I chose this school because of covid and they had good reviews. I am highly disappointed and upset. When I inquired about why my child felt like she was being drowned in work and even though she was trying her best, I was told to be patient and that they were short staffed and having administrative issues. Before you choose this school for your child, please do your research

This is definitely not a good experience. My daughter supposed to have 6 classes and only has 4 classes due to no teachers. She is missing her science and English teachers. One of her electives, my daughter told me she has no idea what she is doing. How can anyone get an education with this school. If CCSD has a 700 shortage then this school wont get theirs. These kids are suffering. Also, she has to self teach. These teachers need to teach and explain the lesson. They are the ones getting paid.

I do not recommend this school at all. I’m doing online school and they don’t even teach you the lessons they expect you to learn on your own and get the content right away . They expect you to already know the content within a month ridiculous. They don’t care if you attend the live sessions they only care if you turn in your work like how do you expect a student to learn without even teaching the lesson and only attending the class once a week , yea they might give others days for you to join if you missed it but they don’t teach you the content if they do they expect you to understand it right away and boom turn in the work they only tell you the instructions of what to do this school really does make me unhappy and the schedule is all messed up I rather move schools and everyday I tell myself ima fail because of how this school system is this school gives you zero motivation. 100% percent do not recommend this school

This is our first year using Nevada Learning Academy for online learning, and I was very impressed with how organized they were with providing a time and location for parents to pick up chrome books and supplies. So far my child is having a positive experience. I had to knock a star off unfortunately because their has been an issue where my son is unable to access his math assignments because they are using a program called Savvas that is having issues linking to Canvas. I have notified the teacher who asked me to contact the school in regards to getting this fixed, but upon trying to contact the school, I have not been able to reach anyone. Aside from this 1 issue, I think the program, teacher, and the school are great. Hopefully the Savvas issue gets sorted out.

At first, NVLA was efficient and well staffed. My 4th grade son started the first day of school with his teacher, Mr. Stutler and new classmates. Last week, this school became over pack with new students and understaffed, which resulted my son’s class to have Group A and Group B. My son was in Group A, which was the teacher’s original students. This week, my son was kicked out of his class and shuffled into a communist classroom at nighttime! Ms. Guzzetta dictates when I can feed my son and what we can do during family time hours (if we can)! It just started yesterday and we cannot handle this school’s attitude, control, and schedule; this class ends after 7:10 pm. It feels like there is no freedom anymore in America. This situation becomes worse! When you try to call the school, no one answers or calls you back. My husband and I both repeatedly tried to contact this school civilly several times. However, there is no one to take care of us. Why should our son be disciplined by having us leave a workable schedule and excellent teacher? It should have been Group B students to only go to this unprofessional teacher! If this situation does not be resolved shortly, then I will start protesting against this school! Let there be liberty and justice again!

My daughter is taking summer school for algebra 2nd semester since she did not get the full class. It was recommended to us by greenspun. This class is horrendous. First and foremost, the training material has multiple errors. Then the practice exams that are multiple choice have the wrong answer as the right answer. And I am not talking about 1 or 2 for the 11 module multiple lessons per module. I am talking almost every lesson there is an error in the material. Either they provide steps, and then in the example do the steps in a different order with no explanation, or they screw up a +/- sign in solving the dam problem. Making the students who are self paced get confused. I have found at least 20 errors. Then the practice tests say the wrong answer is the right answer. I have verified this with Audra’s “TA” since there is not a teacher (clarification NVLA material is trash not the assigned teacher for this). Just someone who has office hours for 2 hours a day and over 100 students. Do better! Someone needs to teach you algebra (again nvla not the “teacher assigned”. Where is the person over seeing this material! I will be asking for my money back! NVLA you are disgrace to the education profession! Here are two examples of at least 20.

I am the parent of a fourth grader attending NVLA. I have to say this is the best school in Las Vegas. My daughters teacher is attentive to all students and genuinely cares. The class size was approximately 12 students which I loved. The currículum is beyond my expectations. My daughter has learned so much at NVLA in one year. She is definitely confident with online learning and public speaking thanks to NVLA and her teacher. The students are challenged and taught topics that can help them with their future careers. Thank you to Mrs. Battista for being such a huge influence on my daughter this year. I am grateful for NVLA and Mrs. B.

School is pretty good out of the 20 schools I’ve been to in and out of state this is definitely at the top. Teachers are helpful and have sessions to answer questions or attending or tutor. I went to the school once since it’s far away. Teachers seem more happier and overall better than brick and mortar. I learned a lot and it can get stressful but you have two weeks and retakes on some tests. I recommend doing work and watching YouTube videos if you need more help. We worked on way more than my other schools. I never wrote so many essays and paragraphs but thanks to this school I got accepted into high classes at my college and my brother is likely to attend.

The grading system in this school is trash. I cannot believe they expect students to learn a whole year of math in a little over a month. Whats more unbelievable is the fact that the teachers create so many deadlines but doesnt grade them.

This is the first year my son is attending Online schooling at Nevada Learning Academy after being sent from his assigned area elementary school because they didnt have enough students enroll for online classes. I enrolled my Son the same day at NVLA via telephone with the Office then online since we are still in a Pandemic. There have been online Math problems my Son got right and the Computer says its wrong. The Math material used for class is taught in different ways making it confusing at times but we manage somehow. My Son does the online work, gets most answers correct or passing then when the Letter grades come out during Parent /Teacher Conferences he doesnt get the credit or letter grade for all his work as whole from August to October. The teachers have 100 or more students in each online class so they run it like College where you stay muted and listen as they present the Classwork. Your child will have time to complete assignments during class or in between classes when the Teacher says so.

I am trying to fill out the online application for my children and I cannot find where to eat and they do not answer and I cannot leave a message either, since Monday my children no longer go to classes I will not allow my children to run the risk of getting sick in The schools now that the matter is really uglier with the covid19 and delta I do not know that so much disease but they do not take anything and apart there is no distance in the students this is frustrating !!!! But ps I still prefer a healthy son than a good student.
