So many exhibits at no cost (but please make a donation). Very comfortable atmosphere with great works from artists throughout history from past to present. Incredible mens room.

Great venue for childrens theatre. Since the remodel, the theatre is a nice place to introduce your family to the arts. I have also attended a catered wedding here...It was really nice.

Dining at Canvas restaurant located inside the Arkansas Art Center was terrific. We held our sisters birthday party there. The manager and staff went over and beyond the call of duty. The food was excellent!

What a beautiful exhibition ! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure to make us feel more than welcomed and gave us a bit of insight into the art and building. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Great place to take friends or family.

Free art museum that has two large traveling front galleries along with smaller classical and modern art collections. This center is large, quite, and the artwork and associated movements are well documented. There is a gift ship and restaurant named Canvas with indoor / outdoor seating onsite as well.

They can’t even open up a place for people to escape to while this pandemic is going on?! What? I’ve lost all hope in this establishment. The person on the phone was also extremely rude. Get it together

The Art Center is a wonderful place. Their collection is varied, and wonderful. They have paintings by Monet and Picasso, sketches by Rembrandt, and a range of pottery, jewelry, vessels, and urns that range from a few hundred years old to a over thousand years old. They have rotating exhibits the feature a lot of artists that are from the area. The have a restaurant, gift shop, childrens theater, and they offer amazing classes year round from woodworking to painting to making jewelry (metalsmithing). Its a must see place.

The perfect place to stroll through an amazing collection of art. The special exhibitions are always worthwhile. Not expensive at all. I want to try the new restaurant!

Very nice museum, with a diverse art collection and wonderful special exhibits. We live in Houston but make a point of visiting this museum when we are in Little Rock. The museum is very nicely set up so that visitor can see the art without backtracking or getting lost. The museum is also family friendly and houses a childrens theatre with regular shows. Parking is easy and there is a lovely park next to the museum.

Ive visited twice, both times with older kids. Theyve enjoyed it as much as I have.Quiet place to walk around or sit and think. The art on display was interesting. My last visit had art from local schools. I have to admit, a couple of third graders are better at art then I am.The center is free, although you are welcome to donate as you enter. A good place to spend an hour or two.

Outstanding place to visit

I purchased tickets online and someone else from my church purchased tickets for me as well. So I have a total of 12 tickets. I spoke to Allison Shaw to see if I could get refunded for the 6 tickets that I have that I will not be using today or the new future. She refused to refund me my money of $65.45. Although, I still have 6 tickets that were purchased earlier. She offered to exchange for another show but that included a fee as well. I am highly disappointed in AR Arts Center. This is will be my last time attending a show here.

The visitors center is great place to start. Theres lots to see and do at no cost or low cost . The river walk and farmers market is a must. The museams are free and very interesting. Theres lots for kids too . Petting zoo and hay rides . Ballet is a must. The sub and tug boat are neat to see. I didnt know Arkansas had so much. We will celebrate again , thanks for the hospitality Ark. Loads of fun.

Really great museum for the size of Little Rock. If we didnt have the Arts Center, wed be lacking a real art museum. I noticed there is a one star review for this museum- there isnt anything bad about this place. The budget is on par with the size of the city, if youre expecting MOMA exhibits, well youre in the wrong place.

Great selection of art. You can easily spend an hour here enjoying the various collections of works. The center is always being updated with new exhibits. Admission is free. The center is funded by donations.

This place has AMAZING pieces! I was actually surprised considering the size and also considering that admission is free. I was truly blown away, loved it.

For an art museum in a small city, this one was great. It has new art, old art, local art, kids art. It was great. Dont expect a big city museum, but this is a great, and free may I add, museum to see, especially on a rainy day!

Very beautiful place to visit the kids really enjoyed seeing other kids artwork. Also outside is a nice place to have church picnics family picnics and a great place for fishing.

I am not a big art fan but this place has a wide selection of gallery. I visited out of curiosity and I dont regret it. Must visit.

I wish that I had started taking classes here years ago. It has improved my life greatly. The member preview parties are a lot of fun. I love going to events when I am in town.If you join the AAC at the friend level get a membership to NARM which lets you go to museums all over the USA for free!!

The Art Center’s collection has been temporarily relocated to 2510 Cantrell Rd (open to the public) while renovations are being made to the permanent museum location.

Very well worth a visit when in Little Rock. Nice museum. On both visits Ive been very impressed.

Love this place! Ive been coming here since the 90s, and have taken a few different classes here and there. Im always impressed with the exhibits they get and the visiting artists they have talk/do workshops. I even had a tintype portrait done here by Keily Anderson Staley that I love! Unfortunately, I will not be taking any more classes there due to their new-ish education director. Shes very cold, rude, and walks around like she runs the entire art center. Some of the sweetest and nicest people I know have only been treated horribly by her, which really upsets me. Ill continue to visit and love the Art Center, but Ill definitely be avoiding the museum school because of her!

Childrens theater was a neat experience, but nothing else was kid friendly.
