The instructor was very knowledgeable and professional. During our road test I asked many questions and they knew all the answers! I feel like I learned so much from taking this test!

Ive had 2 kids go through their testing. Straight forward. Call the number and schedule. Bring your cash payment. Make sure you have your registration and proof of insurance in the car. Dont forget your learners permit. The courses are exactly what you would expect with the driving test . Not a difficult course, but they have three or four different routes that can be tested. None of which, are very difficult if you are used to driving in the area. The people giving the tests are very professional. The tests started promptly at the scheduled time. I would recommend them to any other new drivers that need testing.

Couldnt have dealt with better people! Schedule guy was great and Lou that tested my youngest was awesome! Wish I had more kids just give them more business.

This school is the best school. Mr Albert guided me properly & wonderfully while taking classes and while taking driving test. He was never angry at me even though i made some silly mistakes while driving. He is professional, great, nice, fair, calm, cooperative, helpful and respectful. I passed the test because of him. He gives directions clearly. I was never confused while practice sessions. I was never nervous or anxious while driving test because of him. He relaxed & encouraged me before driving test. I passed driving test in the First Trial because of him. I definitely recommend him to others. He made the tough test, easy and simple for me. Tried to take a road test yesterday, but the guy failed me after not being able to parallel park just because I hit the cones, points taken off for readjustment of the car which is complete BS. Wouldn’t even let me drive on the road which despite the parking I know I can drive no problem but wasn’t given the chance to prove so. First off from my research parking isn’t even the first thing you’re supposed to do but last. On top of that there’s 15 points you could miss in order to fail. The guy said 8 points minus 2 for every mistake. Worst part is there are no refunds, and so I lost almost a hundred dollars for nothing. So screw the “instructor“ and this facility. Want to get a driver’s license? Take your business elsewhere. I certainly will. DO NOT GO HERE.

They never pick up the phone

We had a great experience today with Capitol Area Driving School. My daughter had her road test today, and she has been (understandly) nervous about it for weeks. The instructor with Capitol was so patient and nice during the road test. He immediately helped put her at ease so she could showcase how great her driving schools have gotten. Absolutely stellar experience all around--from the minute we booked the appointment. Would highly recommend!

My experience with this business overall was okay they had everything set up nice with a nice amount of instructors. I took my test and ended up passing which I was happy with, but the instructor that drove with me was not professional, rude, and had very poor communication skills. I was more worried about him and his crotchety attitude and distractions rather than my test.

He is really nice, fair and calm so you shouldnt worry about crazy character of your examiner) He provided a test according the driving manual without any additional things from his side. Awesome testing center. I wish I wouldve known about this before I wasted 100$ at International Driver Testing in Farmington. They tell you different rates every time you call them. Capitol Area Testing are genuine people. They only charged me what they had mentioned on their website. The examiner was very good. He was calm and didnt rush through the control skills test. Although the rental car was old and had a faulty reverse gear which stopped the car sometimes even when the brakes were not applied. During the road test, the examiner gave clear directions and the route for the road test wasnt very long, which is good. The examiner wasnt looking to confuse me or nitpicking reasons to fail me. Total test time was about 30 minutes. Anyone wanting to give the road test should definitely give it here.

After reading the reviews on google I decided to choose Capitol and I recently took my driving test and I passed it. I would highly recommend this school to take tests as they are professional. Lou took my test , he is very cooperative, calm, keeps guiding you while you take the test which helps you be at ease!

My son went to A and A driving school and this was one of the recommended options for the road driving test. Lou was great and worked with us as best as he could. The parking segment came first and was done in a parking lot with cones so there was no risk of damaging our/another car. Very courteous and professional.Since then I have had another son and a daughter use them. Third time was with Lous son. Very good testers. Highly recommended.

Had a very pleasant and not stressful experience. The administrator of the test was very professional and respectful. Directions were clearly given and expectations were clearly stated. 5/5, would definitely recommend.

Definitely recommend taking your drivers test here; I took mine with Lou and he was very professional and clear or everything I had to do. I was super nervous in the beginning but he made the test much easier and less stressful than I expected it to be

Scammers.I gave them $55 dollars for the Driving Test for my Final License.They asked me Do you know how to Parallel Park?I said Im good, but not great at Parallel Parking.They then asked me to leave without a refund before I got to even get behind the damn wheel!

I went in like most people would... Terrified of taking my test for the 1st time at 30 but Lou was amazing, just the way he treated you and his general demeanor made all my anxiety melt away.He was very professional yet likeable. I would recommend this place to anyone even if I hadnt passed.

The instructor was so polite and had me at ease! Easiest 20 minutes ever. He even walked me through the parking, which i thought was the hardest part. Very polite and not militant at all. I will definitely reccommend this place

Not sure if the problem is with Google or the driving school. When googling livonia drivers ed this business comes up. However they do not offer driver training in livonia only in the Lansing area.

Nick is very professional and straight to the point and I felt very comfortable driving with him and safe. He also gave me pointers on what to work on as a great driver. And perfect location!
