I took the Watercolor Portraits workshop in Silverlake. The teacher was awesome and the class was a lot of fun. I will definitely come back. Its fun to see how different people can interpret the same thing using the same tools.

Ive taken several classes at Makers Mess and always had the best time! The instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly and I always go home with tons of project ideas. I cant wait to take my next class--there are so many amazing options!

Loved my second workshop at Makers. I brought my niece to the Fall Crafts workshop and it was so fun! Emily was wonderful and helpful for getting additional supplies as needed too. I hope they do a crafts workshop for every season! I called with a bunch of questions in the days leading up to the fall workshop too and everyone I spoke to was soo kind.

The clay earrings class was so much fun! The instructor was kind & helpful and I loved the finished product. I can’t wait to come back here for another workshop.

Beautiful space, cool project, teacher was sweet but could have been a little more hands on with some of my friends who didn’t really get the concept of how to do the project. I think we also needed at least 1 more hour to complete the project. Lots of street parking.

Beautiful workshop with Liz Spencer (@thedogwooddyer) doing shibori and itajime resist pattern making and indigo dyeing. It was three hours long but the time just flew by. The space was beautiful and it was a fantastic workshop. Looking forward to attending more natural dye workshops here!

We took the cake decorating without rules class and had so much fun! The Silverlake space is cute, Amanda (our instructor) was very friendly and answered everyone’s questions with patience & ease. Love love love that they provide a gluten-free cake option for us gf folk! The other people in the class were lovely and we went home with a lot of cake decorating ideas that were new & interesting, not just your run of the mill icing flowers (love those too, but it was nice to get more creative and decorate in a modern way). Excited to try more classes!

I really enjoyed the water color class! They prepared all the tools and I was just there to have fun. I learnt something new too!

This place is awesome, cozy and friendly, I wish id have knew about it earlier .I took an embroidery class and I’m looking forward for more. They have a vast array of different crafts that I m eager to try out.

I did the papier mache ornament class and had a good time. Both the host and the instructor were very friendly.There was a slight hiccup at registration because I had registered at the Friends level (you and a +1) but it didnt seem to show.My one complaint about the class is that the instructor seemed to wait for everyone to be done with the current step before explaining the next step. This caused a lot of what should I be doing? whispering among the students. I think this could be fixed by providing more of an outline of the entire process at the start of the class.That said, Im very happy with how my ornament turned out and I would take another class here.

Great setting and instructor made the space comfortable for all. Will do this again!

Doesnt have bathroom or runnung water they dont have certified teacher taking care of kids they serve trader Joes foods on workshops that cost almost 100 dollars finessed smh brandy and megan were very rude and racist towards me dont come here youll be disappointed
