My son has attended for 3 years now and he is thriving! Never did I think he would be learning a second language at such a young age but they are like a sponge and is absorbing everything. The kids are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for and this school challenges them at their best. My son comprehends German and he will be speaking it soon. Goethe will be adding a middle school and we are so happy about that. Dont settle for the traditional school model we are use to here at the states unless you want to be short changed. Try something different. Goethe is truly doing things out of the box and we wish more schools would do this!

We love Goethe, we started this school 3 years ago when we moved from Germany to LA. It’s a wonderful school and our child loves it there, they teach every day in both languages, german and English and starting with 3 grade the kids also gets Spanish:). We donate money ones a year and it doesn’t matter how much you donate! Every child will be treated the same! We only donate, because Goethe is a charter school they don’t get the same amount of money that a public school gets, they get much more less but they also are not a private school, so if we as parents want that the kids still gets art, music and PE classes we should try to help with any amount we can :).Hope we get a middle school soon, so that we can continue with this amazing school.

I attended goethe (class of 2017) and though it was a great education, I felt as though somone was constantly breathing down my neck in such a way that I was never alone, the teachers had to take us to recess which I was always about 5 minutes late for and lunch which was about the same, and at lunch recess we had to walk in a line to playground which always cost us upwards of 5 minutes, and then I was also late for dismissal by at least 5 minutes which really inconvenienced my parents. But otherwise, I got a great education from them.

Unless youre ready to constantly donate money dont expect this school to give your child a fair treatment.
