I passed! I am so excited! I had great lessons with Eduardo. Had him last like 6 times and it has paid off. All instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and incite full. Am glad I went with Westwood driving school. They made it easy to schedule car and test in same phone call. I would say excellent experience!

I had a manual transmission (aka stick shift) lesson with Carlos and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.I work at an auto shop and its necessary for me to drive stick for work. Carlos was professional and patient, taking the time to communicate the steps at my pace which I really appreciated.At the start of the lesson, I had no clue on what to do behind the wheel and I had no confidence. Before the lesson was over, I was moving on the street, going up and down hills, and even was able to move comfortably with traffic.I can now show up to work feeling good about myself, all thanks to Carlos and his excellent instructions.Thanks again, You guys rock!

I had both Mark and James and they helped me so much. I met with Mark right after I got my permit and by the first lesson, I had gotten the hang of everything because of his thorough explanations. I had James for the last lesson before my test and we ran through a practice exam and it was amazing because it allowed me to recognize my mistakes. Moved to LA from the UK. With only Motorcycle experience I decided it was time to work on getting my car license. I had Angel as my instructor for my first time driving. He’s very attentive and does an excellent job of providing the right information at the right time so that you’re constantly learning but not overwhelmed.Doesn’t dominate the wheel or pedals but knows when to take over in difficult scenarios and when to simply help press the pedals to maintain safety.Loved my experience!

So moving to the US was tough in terms of my driving since I drove on the right hand side all my life. 22 Years to be precise. I failed my test the first time simply because I was not fully prepared with my US driving skills. Then I decided to make the investment on a good driving school and found Westwood Drving School. It did cost a bit but it is definitely worth it as they helped me pass my driving test here in LA. Special mention goes to Eduardo. He was a real help and gave me all the confidence to relax and corrected all the things that Test Officers will look out for. And yea dont be like me and fail your first tests ...please just invest in a proper driving school from the very start.

I’ve been taking driving lessons with them exclusively for about two months and I finally got my license last week! The staff who work at Westwood Driving school are very lovely and courteous. It was easy to schedule lessons before work and within a few days of each other. I was adviced to take a couple of practice lessons to get my US license after having driven on the other side of the road overseas. I found this to be plenty of time and Im glad to have had Eduardo as my instructor. He was very calm, clear and patient. He went over all the nuances of what it takes to drive safely and pass the driving test, which was very helpful and Im a more confident driver thanks to him. Having never driven before I was quite stressed at the idea of starting my driving lessons but I couldnt have asked for a better school or better teachers. I took the 10 lessons pack and was made to feel comfortable from the get go. It was great going through the pack with different instructors as I got used to changing driving partners which makes the test a lot easier to handle. Let me start off by saying they have an incredibly amazing staff. Their secretaries and driving instructors are all great people. You call them and immediately you realize how friendly and motivated they be of service, and to help you feel safe and confident driving around town.Mind you, the reader, that I come from a place where traffic laws are rarely enforced, speed limits are next to non-existent, and roads go from being paved to dirt in a matter of a couple yards.My instructor, Alfred, is not just an excellent driver and teacher, but possesses qualities all good drivers should have: he is calm, cool, collected, observant, and patient. If I could recommend any driving instructor for anyone reading these reviews, it would be Alfred, no hesitation. He gives you extra tips to help polish your driving skills to perfection (lets be honest, ALMOST everyone needs a little polishing on their driving skills, especially in Los Angeles) and is always motivating students to develop good driving habits. If youre just starting to drive, he will help you develop these skills from the foundation up. He will work within your comfort zone by starting you out in places where there isnt much activity. And gradually he will move to more complex driving situations. If you happen to have some experience, he will work with you to polish whatever skills you need work on to drive safe and well. All in all, if everyone in this county had the driving experience and expertise that Alfred does, insurance companies would probably go bankrupt; there would be no accidents, EVER. Thats how excellent he is, not just as someone who drives, but as an instructor as well.

Westwood driving is amazing. I had Veronica as my instructor and throughout the entire two hour drive she was extremely uplifting and always engaged in a fruitful conversation, talking about literally anything. I hadnt practiced driving for 2.5 years and wasnt very confident as a driver, but the instructors at Westwood Driving School helped me feel so much more comfortable behind the wheel and I passed my driving test at the Culver City DMV in one try!I took three lessons and had no other driving practice before taking my test; I had two with Eduardo and one with Greg. Both Eduardo and Greg were very patient, clear, and explained concepts well so I knew exactly what I needed to do in order to be a safe driver. Ali took me to the DMV for my test, and he helped me calm my nerves and gave me last-minute tips for my driving before the exam.Moreover, I really appreciated how organized the driving school was! Scheduling the lessons was a breeze, and I got calls the day before each of my lessons as reminders.Driving was definitely not something I was good at or enjoyed doing before I took lessons at the Westwood Driving School, but I have a completely new outlook on driving after taking three lessons here. Had I not hired this organization i would have certainly flunked my driving test. I have come from out of town and needed to pass my written and driving and it is without a doubt the best decision i made. Courteous, on time, educational, came with a car which i could get used to in order to be more comfortable once i took my test. I just moved in LA from Europe, have not driven for more than 15 years and totally lost the skill. I choose Westwood Driving School as recommended by a friend for a refresher course. Everyone in the office was really helpful and managed to fit me in at the last minute. My instructor was Eduardo. He was lovely, calm and patient with me and really professional and knowledgeable. He was able to immediately see what I needed to work on and created a calm atmosphere for me to learn in. Ive been a customer at Westwood Driving School for quite some time now and I have been nothing but pleased with the service. When I first started here, I had zero experience with driving and was extremely nervous to get started. I have come such a long way since then and am very proud to say that I am now a confident driver all thanks to the wonderful instructors at the driving school. Because I have been practicing with Westwood for so long, crazy as it may sound, I think its safe to say Ive had every instructor at least once for my various lessons! I started off with Bobby and Steve. Both exceedingly informative, patient, and calm. They made me feel extraordinarily comfortable behind the wheel and helped me gain the confidence I needed to be a good driver. After switching off between the two of them for a while, I figured it would be good practice to try a lesson with a different instructor. The delightful women in the office who scheduled my lessons recommended some of their other instructors for me and long story short, Ive met them all and they are ALL fantastic! When I was ready for my test at the DMV, there was no doubt in my mind that I would do a great job. I was able to pass my test the first time and I really have Westwood Driving School to thank for that! Dont be embarrassed if you dont know how to drive yet or if youre nervous. Because If youre someone who is looking for lessons, wanting to gain confidence and become comfortable driving, then you CAN achieve that! Now that I have my license, my next step is buying a car and I couldnt be more thrilled!

I had a marvelous experience at Westwood Driving School, signed up for initial 6 lessons, then took 3 more to get ready for the driving test. My favorite instructors were Greg (3 lessons) and Stella (4 lessons). Got my license today, and the instructor who took me there, Ali, was very nice, helpful and helped me calm down and be ready for the test. I would schedule my appointments with Laura, who is a very nice and joyful person, and a pleasure to talk to! Overall, I wish I could rate these guys 6/5 because they deserve it!

Great instructors. I primarily worked with a guy named Kendall, and he was incredible. Prior to my practice sessions with I was a very nervous driver and would shake behind the wheel. After working with him for about six or sessions, I drive with ease. He knew how to work with me, and what would calm be down. Ive already sent others to go work with him if they still have any issues behind the wheel.

The instructors Eduardo, Manny and Ali were very helpful and patient. They would correct the mistakes and make the experience very easy and enjoyable. Laura and Amanda made it very easy to schedule the appointments. Overall had a very positive experience and now I have my drivers ID. Thank you guys.

I had a great experience with Westwood driving school. Edgar was my instructor and I wouldnt pick anyone else. Before signing up for the classes I wasnt sure whether I needed to, but I am glad I made the decision. Edgar gave very useful tips and tricks for driving and parking and also made sure to go over the important mistakes people fail over. He worked on my weak spots throughout my lessons and definitely gave me more confidence to drive around!

I went to Westwood Driving School to learn stick shift, and the instructor I had, Ali, was absolutely amazing. He was very patient, calm, and knew how to properly teach the fundamentals. The two hours felt really short, but you will definitely learn a lot from Ali. If you really want to learn how to drive a manual transmission vehicle, then I highly recommend going to Westwood Driving School and ask for Ali as your instructor.

I have recently moved to LA from London (England) and needed to get my Californian driving license. I had my lesson with Eduardo who was amazing! Eduardo was patient, explained everything super clearly. He was also an absolute gentleman! It goes without saying that driving in the UK versus the US is a very different experience however all I needed was one lesson with Eduardo and I passed my test with only a few faults! All credit to Eduardo it was his superb teaching that meant that my experience was pain free!

Westwood Driving is a great program for both younger and older students. I took a few lessons a couple years ago and when I started to take lessons again, the instructors and other staff were just as kind as before. I especially appreciated that my instructor, Veronica, was able to help me relax as well as give me good feedback on my driving.

Today I had my second driving class with Veronica and I learned so much. I am terrible at parking but after todays lesson I feel much better about parking. She is a great instructor, she remains very calm and gives good feedback while driving. I had a great lesson today! Definitely ask for her!

Ali was my instructor and Laura helped me when reserving a car for my road test. I had a practice session with Ali before the road test and he instructed important things. Amazing service from front desk to instructors! I could not have had a better experience. I had a driver’s license from Brazil that I had gotten about 10 years ago, but never really used it. So, I did not feel comfortable driving. I signed up for 6 lessons and I think that was the perfect amount to regain the skill and confidence. Regis was my instructor and he was absolutely great. Always on time, always in a good mood, and very diligent about instructing me on my driving skills and on the skills the examiners would be looking for on the road test. On the test day, I opted to use the Westwood driving school car, and I think that was crucial for passing the exam. Ali was the instructor who picked me up on the test day and I cannot thank him enough for his guidance. He re-visited all of the things to be careful about, answered all of my last minute questions, and guided me on how to check in at the DMV. Really took away all of the stress of the test day! I turned to Westwood Driving School, and specifically to their stick shift driving specialist, Ali, to take a couple of refresher lessons in the dancing with the gears routine that I havent attempted since I was a twenty-year-old driving a VW Beetle. The lessons were terrific, starting with the basics and then gradually moving through all the situations I can expect to encounter in the rental car Ill be operating in an upcoming vacation in France. Ali is a real perfectionist and takes a very hands on approach to instruction, so that the customer gets every detail carefully explained, practice routines set up for all situations, and immediate critiques of how well maneuvers are being carried out. I dont see how it would be possible to do a better job of instruction in this subject, or to give the customer more value for the money. This is definitely a five-star school, based on what I saw.

My experience with Westwood Driving school was AMAZING!! Beyond impressed with the service! When I called to make an appointment, I was greeted by a very sweet and understanding woman! She answered all my questions and it was obvious she cared! Greg, my instructor, was extremely calm and collected, which helped the process immensely! He made this scary experience very fun and relaxing. All the impoylees here are extremely kind, respectful, and personable! Im definetly going to refer all my friends to them!

The price was incredibly reasonable and the class was... not as bad as I thought a 6-hour course would be. Furthermore, they offer a lot of different times at which you can take classes, including nights and weekends (which is incredibly convenient).I honestly recommend this place because I had a positive experience and the staff was very friendly and informative.

This is the greatest school ever, Ali, the owner, is the nicest man on the planet, my son got his permit right away, Ali is such an amazing teacher and such a generous and kind person. I would highly recommend this school to any kid and any adult, its a caring serious and very experienced business. We moved from France and were so grateful to find such a great school for me to get my US license and for my son to get his first license.

Thank you Westwood Driving School for mentoring me through the test! I passed on my first attempt in Santa Monica after three lessons. I know how to drive from previous experience, but this was absolutely my first time driving in Los Angeles. I had three different instructors; they were all very helpful in realizing my weaknesses and correcting my bad habits.Special thanks to Instructor Ali who took me to my test. We went around the DMV for a practice an hour before my appointment. Ali gave me so many useful advice which helped me a lot in avoiding stupid mistakes and surviving the real test.Overall, I had a really pleasant experience with Westwood Driving. Everyone was super friendly and very professional. I would definitely recommend them if you need any help in enhancing your driving skills.

My son attended Westwood drivers Ed.He enjoyed the classes and thats saying a lot !! So I decided to let them take him to the DMV for his on the road drivers test. I scheduled online with DMV for the date and time, they showed up at 8am for 9am testing.My son said he was a little nerves but his instructor told him hed do great. And he did!! I hand Veronica for my first lesson, and she was great at calming me down and getting me ready to start driving. She was very nice and friendly throughout the lesson.

I highly recommend Westwood Driving school. My older daughter had such a great experience learning to drive, that I have recently scheduled classes for my younger daughter. Teenagers and driving can be a very frightening thing. The streets near our home are Sunset, PCH, and Palisades Drive, not easy streets to learn to drive. Kendall was incredibly patient, encouraging, and supportive. He had valuable suggestions for me; he told me how to help my daughter be a more competent driver. (Screaming and pressing the nonexistent brake pedal dont work). My younger daughter is very excited to learn to drive. She insists the first lesson be with Kendall. She trusts him and will feel safe with him.

I had a GREAT experience with Westwood driving school. My instructors were very sweet, kind, and helpful. I have really bad exam anxiety and have had difficulty passing the driving exam for this reason. I attribute my passing to my instructor who helped ease my nerves by joking and raising my confidence. The instructors (I had Eduardo for two of my lessons) give tips which are key to passing the exam. So long story short, if youre looking for a school which will cut all the b.s. and make you a more confident driver, Westwood is the place for you!

I had a great experience with the Westwood Driving School. I had a license from a foreign country and had to get my California drivers license at very short notice within one week. This driving school was so helpful, arranging a couple of lessons for me just before my test. They were very accommodating and I was really lucky with them. I had two lessons with them before my test and got my California license the first time.The staff and driving instructions are friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed the lessons I had with them. They showed me everything they look for in the CA driving test, what to be aware of, etc. Overall, I had a far greater experience with the Westwood Driving School than I had with driving schools in my own country. I felt confident when I went in for my driving test.I would seriously recommend the Westwood Driving School to anyone doing the California driving test. They were really excellent!

This driving school is very good. I just needed a car to pass my driving test. Laura was great and she suggested me to take the drive test service for 2H. The instructor came to my apartment 1h prior the exam and during this time, I was bale to drive his car ; he told me whats wrong with my drive and gave me some advices. It was very helpful because I passed my test the first time. I highly recommand this school.

Edgar is an amazing driver instructor. Hes very passionate to make you a good driver and will give you good tips so you pass your driving test. Very easy to talk to and makes driving lessons fun!

Went in for stick shift lessons and left feeling confident in my ability to drive a manual thanks to Ali! He was extremely helpful and patient and when I would make a mistake, he would calmly help me correct it in a way that was easy and encouraging! Couldnt recommend more!

I had a great experience with Westwood Driving School. I requested Edgar for my third lesson after I completed second lesson with him. I definitely do recommend him although he wasnt extremely punctual, however he will give you your full 2 hours of the lesson.
