My 6-Year old daughter has been attending Anar centre since June last year. She always comes out of her class smiling and jumping! For me that says it all. She can say the alphabet, sing songs in Farsi and generally increased her interest in wanting to learn more Farsi at home. Shiva is an incredible teacher she is loving, bubbly and really knows how to engage kids in a fun way for them to learn. The class structure is dynamic, on the classroom tables you can use erasable markers to practice writing, colouring worksheets for colouring the letters of the alphabet, singing and flash cards. Aesthetically the centre is beautiful. Decorated in a traditional modern manner. You can have tea and Persian treats in the waiting room.

I CANT BELIEVE IM READING AND WRITING FARSI !!Shiva is an AWESOME TEACHER and The Anar Center is such a warm friendly place.I am beginning my 3rd series of classes and am blown away by how much progress myself and classmates have made.My 5 year old daughter is also taking classes there and LOVES it.We both look forward to it every week. We do our homework together and test each other in the car sometimes. It has been a very sweet bonding experience for us.I am very grateful to have found this place!

Ive been coming to the Anar Center for just under a year now, and I cannot stress highly enough what an incredible environment it is for learning Farsi! Shiva is an excellent teacher with years of teaching the language under her belt, and it shows - I constantly feel that she is tailoring to course to perfectly fit my needs and move along quickly while ensuring Ive mastered the material, both in the group and private classes (though I definitely recommend private if you want to move particularly fast, as I did). The space is also lovely, there is always چایی و شیرینی (delicious Persian tea and sweets) and a slew of interesting Persian cultural paraphernalia. Quite frankly, if youre thinking about learning Farsi, and you want to do it in a friendly, accommodating space at any pace (anywhere from relaxed to reading and writing in mere weeks - I opted for the latter), youve found the right place.
