I went to this school, and I just recently culminated. This school gave me some of the most memorable experiences. The teachers are very supportive and encouraging. Students are pretty great, but there are some issues here and there. This school just really pushes you to do your best. Conveniently, there are lots of places you can buy food/snacks and hang out with your friends. There’s also a lot of transportation nearby, such as the train station, dash, 720, etc… I enjoyed being here. I hope to stop by and visit some day.

[Previous student back in 2013-14]School is great! Teachers are thorough in explaining a problem, Intervention classes can be acquired for additional help, after school programs are awesome, and the yards are fairly huge. Yes, huge! Staff are strict and do not endorse bullying and theres always on site security. Also, here is a dress code to follow but if you can look past that then this school is definitely a good choice for your child!

Many people in my school want to go to this school because of a presentation they did, And I kind of enjoyed it because of all this cool stuff but I am not sure how the school is like. I read the comments and I did not like most of them so like I am going to assume this school is not good for your education. I like to focus on education I dont really care about fun activities... and I guess they are showing these thing to manipulate peoples mind into thinking oh this school is so fun because of all these cool things we could do!!! but when they get to that school they will be like oh i dont like this school it is so boring! so like I dont really trust this school that much. And i will warn my classmates about this.

I give my school a four instead of a five due to how it is.Its a good school I recommend your kids to go because it really has nice teachers and staff!Overall in my opinion please dont hate me,but there are too many kids breaking the no eating in class rule and ditching classes thats the only huge problems well overall it is an ok school and your kids should go there.I saw all the reviewa and mostly some were from last year like one about punching or fighting.It calm down after that year 2017 - 2018,but the school calm down the bullying. 👌🏻

I would say my overall experience at this school was pretty good, but not the best. I luckily, did not experience an actual class in the conditions youll see in the cons section, but I did witness it a lot, and heard it as wellPros- Small School, Single Gender, Advisory, Odd and Even Block Schedule, Excellent, Rigorous Math Teachers and Curriculum, Excellent STEAM Curriculum, and Amazing Staff, especially the teachers, well...most. Teachers are usually the victims of extreme disrespect and disobedience from the students, and are still teaching at this school even though they could be teaching somewhere more decent. There is a lot of technology at this school including iPad Carts, MacBooks, Macs and Projectors, but the kids ruin the items in about 2 years.Cons- The consequences of bad behavior at this school need to be more harsh. Some teachers cant teach because of the constant student misbehavior, I dont blame it on the teachers though, students at this school seem make teachers lives miserable. Every year, there is one or two people who show up on drugs or drunk, even pregnant.Advice- Dont be a troublemaker! Teachers will praise you if you do all the homework and classwork and behave. Dont spend your time talking during passing period, go to class! If you dont like your elective change it!, Korean, STEM, Math Intervention, English Intervention, Media/Computer, and more classes are offered. Strongly recommended for GATE Students.

This school sucks, and very cheap the principle mr. colacion needs to get fired and hes super fake. and they treat the 6th graders like theyre sweet angels and cant do anything wrong and the whole no sweaters thing is super stupid

I was a substitute teacher here and one day a male student had an accident in his pants (ie pee) . So I sent him with another student to get a change of clothes. A few minutes later, the principal ,Ed Colacion, ( now at Hollywood High, lucky them)..called me out & blamed me . The kid had asked me once to use the restroom and I said ,Can you wait a moment? as they were about to do presentations in front of the class. He agreed ,so I assumed he was ok. Next thing I know hes in front of the class with his group presentation and the accident happens. I would NEVER stop a student from using the restroom if they insisted they really had to go NOW. OR, alternatively they know, or should know, to just walk out (as kids have done before , honestly or otherwise ) .I say the problem comes from the top if the environment is so prohibitive. Nonetheless, I became the scapegoat for the cowardly principal, & it became a formal strike against me (3 strikes & youre out). SHAME ON ED COLACION 😠😡

Kids here are terrible and act like fools in class. There is ALWAYS pushing and shoving in the hall ways. Overall I wouldnt recommended this school.

Liked the high technology in every classroom but everything else was lame! Girls and boys r seperated, school uniform is very ugly ( kaki pants with white shirt and olive green sweater) and shool is very small. The worst teacher i had there was ms uyeshima. She would always scream in ur face for every little thing (she even gave attitude to another teacher and humiliated her right IN FRONT OF US!) The best teachers though were mr. Lerer and mr urkofsky
