This store has art supplies for any project you can imagine. They have easels, drafting boards, all types of canvases, just about whatever you need. They offer art classes as well on site. There are art instruction books as well as supplies to create puzzles and board games.

Im a little disappointed that I bought some containers of pearlescent pigment last week, and when I went to use them today half of the purple/magenta color was missing... this has never happened here before, but it made me want to write a review.The prices here are higher than artist and craftsman supply, which is honestly not that far away from this store. (competition) And while they (Preston) do offer discounts for those who are signed up on their mailing list, it doesnt seem enough to justify the difference in price. That being said, I do still bounce back and forth between the two depending on who has what, and the urgency of my purchase (especially during this pandemic). Usually I start with Artist and Craftsman Supply, then head to Preston if they dont have what I need. I have found myself going to Preston less and less. And when I do go, its almost like they arent buying more stock.I really hate that I had this experience with their products, and that I have noticed the difference in price. I really want local businesses to succeed, especially Preston, this place has been around for a long time. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I recommend this store to any new and existing artists looking for art classes to expand their range. I also love that their staff is informed and wont make you feel like an idiot if you need help with something, or simply dont know exactly what youre looking for.I will say that while their stock has increased in size and variety in recent years, it still doesnt compare to that of artist and craftsman. Preston, I feel, is for the hobbyist and student. Especially considering how common it was to have half of my powder pigment missing from a container that I absolutely, at this point (procrastination), do not have the time to return. There are levels to the art store game, and I didnt go to Preston expecting to have this Hobby Lobby experience.Does that make sense? I hope so, because I dont want this so seem harsh at all. I think there is a distinction and there was a time when I didnt really notice a real difference between the two and thought this review/information might be insightful for others.

They have everything an artist needs by far. If you need something they dont have, they will help you order it. The owner Don is a true Gem. Hes one of the nicest people I have ever met in customer service. The staff here know their stuff and will gladly help you. Highly recommend this business!!

Ive been going to Preston art center for several years! They have always been helpful and knowledgeable about their stock! They have classes for the general public to attend to learn technics and different types of artwork! A great selection of materials for just about anything you can imagine doing! They know their store and can assist you with whatever you might be looking for! They always stay well stocked with all art supplies and even have things that can help with your childs school projects, i.e. display boards for science projects among other things as well! Let them know what you have in mind and they can direct you to what you will need! Professional artists get a discount when purchasing materials there and that helps out as well! I enjoy stopping in whenever I get a chance to see what they may have new and things that I need to pick up that I might be low on! Very helpful and courteous folks! They are happy to help!

Decent but not huge selection of artist supplies and friendly staff most of the time. Didnt have a watercolor brand I was looking for a particular paint in (QOR) but I guess they cant carry everything. I also may have missed it but I searched all over that section and didnt see it. My first experience there was less than welcoming but todays visit was much better. Very helpful service today!

Hands down the best art supply store I’ve ever been to. With a super knowledgeable staff and a good stock with fair prices, I’ve never left this place empty handed. I’m not even a local, but one of the owners still was kind enough to give me advice on obscure tools. Worth the visit, and repeated returns!

I love this place!!! They have everything you need for art projects ranging from simple to complex. They also offer art classes I plan to enroll in. There are several times they have a guest showing the newest and greatest products and how to use them. Your eyes will enjoy this place buying supplies for your next masterpiece!

Staff was super friendly and helpful! My daughter and I went on Black Friday. There was a great selection of supplies and the staff was wonderful about making suggestions for what my daughter wanted or was looking for. They offer art classes for adult and kids. Prices seemed a little high, but its quality material. We will definitly be back!

Love this place! Some prices are a little high, some are low but the service goes above and beyond and makes it worth it! The employees are always ready to help you and are very friendly and knowledgeable! Not to mention they offer an awesome variety of classes. Ive taken several and plan to continue. Highly recommend!

I always enjoy going to Preston Arts Center. Its a fun place to browse, and they have a good stock of the stuff I look for (pen and ink supplies, acrylic paints, oil paints) and they seem to have a good selection in most other media as well. The staff is knowledgeable, greet you when you walk in the door, and are helpful without being pushy. The regular demos the shop hosts are great; Ive attended a couple and enjoyed them. Ive never attend any classes there, so cant comment on that, but I expect they are good. In short, I think Prestons is a fun, easy place to buy art supplies.

This place is literally HEAVEN for young artists like me. Theres blend markers, normal markers, colored pencils, ECT. The price range is also crazy good from cheap to expensive. But its all reliable, Im lucky to live close.
