My son had fallen way behind in school. He attended for 5 months. When he started late January he was testing on a 4th grade level. Between the amazing teachers, the incredible principal Renee Doty and pushing him at home he now tested within the normal range. I’m not going to lie I was skeptical at first about sending my son. However they have over achieved at all levels. The school has an individualized program and style. I’m forever grateful to Pitt Academy. They have saved my son, and now he is ready to take on the world.Thank you so much. We appreciate you helping us. I recommend everyone to consider Pitt if their child has struggled in regular schools.

Pitt Academy is a wonderful place that sees each child as an individual and challenges every student to achieve both academically and socially! Every staff member is committed to serving the students and helping them become the best they can be. If your child is struggling in a traditional school setting, come see what this school has to offer your child.

This school is amazing. We started our son here in 6th grade (not liking our middle school options) and he has grown so very much. The teachers and staff are wonderful and really connect with the students. Class sizes are very small. Learning is individualized. They focus on functional academics, life skills, and social skills. He now has a group of true friends, is active in Special Olympics, is doing great academically, and can do his own laundry! The investment has been worth every penny.

My granddaughter, Nyota Ruth Rice, has flourished since attending Pitt Academy. The staff are concerned about the safety of each child as well as their learning. The teachers and staff are so loving and caring about each child that attends school there. All staff are dedicated and committed to the childrens education. I am so thankful for Pitt Academy. I am so thankful that there is a special needs school for our very special children. The staff go above and beyond for every student. I cant say enough wonderful things about Pitt Academy. I feel very blessed that my granddaughter is able to attend this wonderful school. Please come and check out this wonderful school. You will not be disappointed. Respectfully, Sandra E. This is the lowest class operation of all the schools I have seen. The staff stutters and stammers over your questions. They seem neglectful as I was there for a tour and kids where in the halls aimlessly wondering about. These children were highly impaired and it was clear to me that they needed assistance. A child wondered in the office stating she had forgotten where the bathroom was. She was told to wait a minute and waited so long she urinated on herself. I was told the facility just moved not long ago to its current location. The building looked not of quality and had a dirty smell within the halls. It is my feeling that they moved to the better part of town to put on airs so to speak. I have toured several schools in the last week preparing for my daughters start in August. Others are more expensive but quality is what you pay for. You wont get it here, first impressions are lasting. I am not difficult to please but these people do not have their act together. They are neglectful and cold to the children I saw them speak to. The halls smelled and looked dirty, the bathroom I went in only produces cold water!!!! Yep. I will definitely not be sending my angel here in August .

An educational dumping ground, I am so glad I found another educational facility. My child is thriving and LEARNIING! Not repeatedly going over material she already knows and not progressing to the next level. The staff also has a lack of understanding for students individual needs. This school has a good premise but no follow through. At best I would call it a special needs daycare. It was appealing because it is Catholic based and cheaper than other schools. You know that old saying you get what you pay for? Here I have never seen a truer example. Please take my advice and shell out the extra 6,000.00 to 10,000.00 a year for one of the better schools, like Friends or DePaul. You and your child will be so glad that you did. Good luck to you all !

Pitt teaches the WHOLE child. My son, who has Fragile X Syndrome, started in 2nd grade and will graduate in a few years w/a high school diploma. He receives life skills, art, music, computer and more on top of all the traditional academic subjects taught on HIS level. I couldnt be more impressed w/the faculty who genuinely care for every single student. Any parent of a child w/a disability knows the worry of wondering whats happening at school. The peace of mind I have knowing hes safe and happy and actually learning at Pitt is priceless.Pitt Academy isnt just a school to us, its a place where special kids really do reach their potential. 😊
