Im a 17 year old girl and I was driving with him by myself. He never made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I think he is perfectly fine to drive with. He is super nice. He was really good at teaching and I could tell he really knew what he was doing. I actually enjoyed driving with him and I feel way more confident in my driving. He had some really good tips and tricks!

He taught me 25 years ago, and without him I wouldn’t have passed my driving test! Now he has taught my son! A Great teacher, he won’t take it easy on you and I love the “no nonsense” approach! I couldn’t be more appreciative! My son was nervous and now is confident!

WARNING before using Alan Cheeks business. My granddaughter was made very uncomfortable during her experience. After being touched while driving. I encourage you to find a better driving instructor than this this lowlife.

Mr Cheeks demonstrated patience and knowledge that helped me feel comfortable behind the wheel and was as professional as can possibly be.

Please do not ever take driving lessons from Mr.Cheek’s. My daughter had a horrible experience while out on her first lesson. The man who took her out touched her thigh and her back. He made very inappropriate comments to her, he referred to himself as her daddy, he grabbed the steering wheel several times. He told her that he was going to punish her if she made anymore mistakes. I made a police report so that the local authorities are aware of the disturbing things that are happening. I wish I had read the reviews before I allowed my daughter to be alone with the instructor. I am so sorry that this is continuing to happen to these young girls.

Mr.Cheek is an excellent driving instructor. I had taken many courses with him, because of my parents, but he and I could both tell that I was ready to get on the road after the first 2 sessions. He is a joy to talk to and knows what he is talking about.

Great driving instructor! Improved my daughters driving ability in one lesson which was no small task!! All three of my daughters have taken lessons from him throughout the years and we couldn’t be more satisfied!!

Very professional. The touching there are complains of are him tapping you when you mess up, some people need to learn the difference of appropriate and inappropriate touching, in no way did i feel uncomfortable and it was a very fun experience.

Mr Cheeks is a very good driving instructor. He is very patient and he is very helpful. He has helped me tremendously and he also makes you feel comfortable during the lessons. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Cheeks is terrible! He kept hitting on me and calling me pretty even though he knew that I was a 16 year old girl! He touched my stomach and my thighs and would grab my arm too tightly when I did something wrong. He even made a scenario up which related in no way to driving where we went on a date with me. He asked me multiple times if I was dating anyone and went as far to tell me how pretty the women were at Cherokee Park when we were driving through it! Another large red flag was his extremely racist comments. He complained about foreign drivers to me and told me how angry he was that the Confederate statue in Cherokee Park was being taken down. This guy should not deserve to be a driving instructor to anyone, ESPECIALLY YOUNG GIRLS! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!! This is classified as sexual harassment and dont hesitate to file a report on him. Even if he doesnt get in trouble, it does go on file and maybe one day the school will finally be gone. I am so sorry to anyone who also had to go through this. It is absolutely disgusting!

This is the perfect place to go. The driving intuctor will show you tricks on how to pass. Going here will give you the edge . It was a really great experience. Extremely helpful. I really recommend this place yo anyone trying to pass the drivers test

Do not use this company for driving lessons. Do your research and read reviews from clients. This man has multiple reviews on here and Facebook from women and girls about how he was very inappropriate with them and made them feel uncomfortable. It doesnt matter how long he has been teaching people to drive, that doesnt give him the right to make comments about sexual things or touch them. This is the year 2019, and the ME TOO movement is a real thing. No telling how many young women he has made feel uncomfortable that were too scared to say anything. Stay away from here and do your research!

Mr Kelly was more than helpful on my journey to getting my license. Only practiced twice and I was able to obtain my full unrestricted drivers license, thanks for having this drivers school available.

This man shouldnt be allowed to get in cars alone with anyone, especially young women. He is NOT certified and cleared with the state police like other driving instructors are. NO ONE is doing background checks on him. And NO ONE will be able to come after him if something happens. If you have any respect for your fellow humans well being, do not give this man your money because youre supporting something heinous. These are of course my own subjective opinions, but I encourage you to ask questions concerning how instructors are certified in this state and make your own informed decisions.After coming here and reading the reviews of this mans driving service, Im beyond livid to see that this happened to another woman. Ive everything else I can do to bring this to light. If you mention him by name to any other local driving school, they will groan because they get so many reports of how he acts. Please, do yourself a favor and call around. The other schools are super nice. Dont let yourself or your kid or your friend be the next angry person reviewing here. Its not worth saving a few extra bucks or getting a slightly earlier appointment. This guys schedule is free and rates are low for a reason!

Loved it and affordable! Mr.kelly taught me everything i need to know for test and also for when i start actually driving. I took my test and passed thanks to mr.kelly. They schedule very good and work with your schedule i would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable and excellent driving school.

Absolutely grossed out by one of the drivers, they make young girls feel uncomfortable. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning the same problem I’ve experienced. The instructor was extremely inappropriate and touched my thigh and my hair in a sexual manner. I felt so violated with my experience at this driving school. This is supposed to be an educational experience with driving and left feeling creeped out and exposed. Do not go here to get driving experience or lessons. They are unprofessional and creepy, it’s not worth it.

Each year all driving instructors have to pass a background check. KelLY is a retired police officer that has worked here many years.the owner does give some lessons. mr cheek has been married for 39 years and began giving lessons after graduating with a degree in traffic safety from eku i 1977.there are no records of any crimes any where. .it is the oldest school in Jefferson co, we have taught well over15 thousand people to drive , we do offer money back if your not happy. there are two sides to each story , out of the thousands of happy customers over many years i am sorry to anyone was pleased. this is a very dangerous line of work and can be very stressful. with many employees and hundreds of thousand miles driven i am proud to say[knock on wood] not 1 at fault accident. god bless thank you there is a post about being rear ended and changing drivers sorry could not happen . the girl rear ended us. does not matter where her fault. sorry maybe you should take a lesson. as far as the other complaints go I began teaching in 1978, thats forty years of happy customers . And as for the 19-year-old girl if you were so unhappy and I made you so uncomfortable why did you just not get out of your car and go home we were in your driveway for half the lesson that’s where we parallel parked that’s where we did turnabouts we never got more than three blocks from her home the entire lesson as for looking at people in the park I teach people to be observant of everyone around them Like I kind of feel like Donald Trump here no one ever tells me what they liked or did not like they just simply write a review and that would be wonderful except most of the stuff they write is false And if anyone was made to feel uncomfortable please tell me immediately and no one has ever been touched inappropriately do I move the hands on the steering wheel when they’re fixing to wreck yes I do if I need you to speed upI will tell you no it is my job to keep you alive and I will doAnd I will do that to the best of my ability thank you

That creepy old pervert kept hitting on me and calling me hot. I am 16 years old and he knew that. It was so inappropriate and such a disturbing experience. I hope no one will have to go through that it was honestly one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. He spoke very rudely and inappropriately and touched my neck. He was extremely racist and spoke awfully of multiple races.

I called Frankfort to make a complaint only to find out I had to call the police department where she was picked up. Unfortunately the police departments dont share info with each other. There have been many complaints made to various police departments about this business.

Caused a car accident with me last fall. They were illegally practicing driving in UofL’s parking lot (for the student’s FIRST time EVER). & the instructor and student switched seats when the cops pulled up. very rude & unprofessional
