Our daughter graduated kindergarten in May and were looking forward to having her at Blue Lick for first grade. The teachers and staff have all been excellent. They are professional, but also very warm and friendly. Our daughter is very happy there and we would recommend Blue Lick Elementary to any family.

Its a good school your normal school but they need more activities

My daughter goes there. I am really disappointed with the PTA there. They are not reliable and they do not do fun activities for the kids about 98% of the time.I have seen this school in better days and it is going down.

My kids were attending Blue Lick for a number opf years. Until I moved and they changed Schools. Mr. Williams, he is no longer there was a great guy. Mrs. Payne, is a great teacher, Mrs. Van she gets the job done. She is a very strict Teacher but learning is something you never have to worry about because she is Teaching. . Mrs. West, is a great teacher. The onlything I didnt like with Mrs. West, was one time I told her the lil boy was messing with my child. And she made all type of excuces like no that cant be truth. I really like the Family Resource lady Mrs. Holt, The Guidance Counselor, I forgot her name she is nice always, always talks to you. Since Mr. Williams, left I was happy we moved cause I didnt really want my kids to go back to Blue Lick. The Office Staff they wasnt the nicest people when we first came to Blue Lick. However, after speaking up and stating a couple of things. Rhonda, she change alot and became very helpful. The Other Office lady forgot her name she was always nice and would always ask how are you today? Rhonda, would just sit there and say nothing. YOUR IN THE FRONT OFFICE YOUR SUPPOS TO GREET EVERYONE THAT COMES IN. I really like the YMCA that is located at Blue Lick. Mrs. Linda, that works at the YMCA is very nice. I did have a mjaor issue with The Blue Lick Office Staff. My child went up there and she had a fever of 104. No one called me or anything my baby was crying. Mrs. Linda, at the YMCA called me and to make matters worst al they said was it was the end of the day. I wouldnt care if it was 3:44pm call me and let me know whats going on with my child. I see from my kids going to other Schools. Blue LIck, doesnt do as much as other Schools do for their kids. One day I went up there and I seen alot of different faces. Some of them didnt really look like they should be workers at a School especially an Elementary School. All in all Blue Lick was an ok School yea of course I showed my face alot. However, as my children are at a different School. Im having more issues with the other School. Issues that I would have never had at Blue Lick. Such as bullying, other kids hitting my kid, and some major issues with teachers. All in all Blue Lick is an ok School. Some of the people there are really great people. Others not so great but thats everywhere at all Schools. It seems with dealing with different Schools different people you have to kind of take the good with the bad. I have yet to see a School that only had all good no bad.
