Like all schools, there are definitely areas where Klondike could improve. I have been very fortunate to only have minor issues while both of my daughters have attended. But my husband and I love this program so much that we requested a hardship transfer so my daughter could finish her last year there. The learning styles at Klondike help those that excel in some subjects but struggle in others. The interventions for reading over the years have given my daughter the direct attention she needs on her deficiencies while she can continue to excel in math. The communication and dedication from the teachers and staff that have been in both my daughters lives have been exceptional and so have the ones that have gotten to know my family over the years. I have spent a lot of time at Klondike volunteering, showing my support, and just being present over the past 7 years. This could be the reason I feel I can personally vouch for about 80% of their teachers, staff, and administrators. With the foundation my eldest received from Klondike, she is doing exceptionally well in Newburgs MST/Honors Program. We will miss Klondike next year when my youngest daughter moves on to middle school.

I went to this school last year and by far it was the best elementary school that I went to. I was only there since the beginning of October and just after a week of being there I felt as if I had been there since kindergarten. I was in in Ms.Royses class and she is the BEST teacher ever and thats NO exaggeration. This school has prepared me for life and improved my conduct and grades. I went from a trouble maker with making As and Bs to a perfect behavior student making straight As all year! I now go to Newburg Middle School and in the MST program. My parent are so glad that they sent me to this school! This school taught me how to be kind and a WAY better student. I highly recommend this school!

I was honored to be part of the Klondike family and I still miss working there. There are no words to express my gratitude to very one there for what I learned as a professional. I carry all those good memories and I really hope one day I can go back there and take my son who studied there and thank them in person. Klondike and specially Ms Allen, are part of my professional life and my son’s education. Right now he is an Excellent student and has received the Principal Honor Roll for his academic achievements thanks to his first years as a student at Klondike Elenentary. If you parents have the opportunity to educate your kids there, you will be part of a journey full of success.

I recently went to Klondike Elementary for grandparents day to have lunch with my grand-daughter. I couldnt believe what they served for lunch, especially since visitors were coming! Spagetti & meatballs on a bun (?), a bowl of rice with some kind of grayish meat on top, chicken nuggets or grilled cheese; little dishes of broccoli or carrots, small dishes of salad (no dressing), mandarin oranges, bananas or oranges & a roll. I was told by my daughter -in-law that kids lunches are free, why not give them something good AND nutricious?

The teachers have no skill and are very aggressive towards the children. My child has been called names such as bad, ADHD, what you going to be when you grow up. And on this week one of the ignorant teachers Jill Combs pushed my son out of his seat to the floor. BEWARE PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL. WHERE IS CPS when you need them....
