We loved sending our preschooler here but unfortunately they decided to not offer any tuition reimbursement to parents when they closed in mid-March due to covid so Im no longer planning to send our other two sons. Its a real shame that they value money over doing whats right but we learned our lesson.

We knew nothing about Montessori education when we enrolled our 1st daughter in preschool years ago. But we have truly love their unique methods of teaching and the environment in which the children learn. Children are allowed to be children and are pushed academically, yet have a positive outlook on learning. It is like no other. Completely different from public schooling- challenging yet enriching and truly encompasses the entire environment to which the children experience. We cannot say enough about this school. Our daughter is now in the 6th grade with each one of those years being at MSL and we do not have a single regret. Not many can say they love their childs school but we absolutely love it there. My only wish is that they had a high school program! :)

The Montessori School of Louisville has made all the difference for our children and their education so far. We could not imagine a better school for them.Nothing compares to witnessing our 5-year old boy reading his first book (The Solar System which he borrowed from the school library) or sitting down after dinner with an abacus, paper and pencil to make up and solve double-digit addition problems out of his own accord, or our 9-year old girl waking up at 5 a.m. on her own to make the next leap in her studies, excited about school and learning, or teaching us about the poplar family of trees or the various types of trilobites. The examples go on and on.Isnt this what education is really about? Do we want children who have great test scores because they have mastered the skill of taking tests; or do we want children who are passionate about learning, who are kind, self-motivated, understand the material they study and can find a creative solution to any obstacle that comes their way (and consequently do just as well, if not better, on any given test)?Our family is so grateful for being a part of an institution and community that cultivates the later. As the ancient Chinese proverb goes Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.This is exactly what the Montessori School of Louisville is so successful in doing: teaching our children how to fish, while providing them with a nurturing environment where it is safe to fail and succeed and to constantly learn.
