I was a student at butler from 1999 to 2002! Butler was not the best high school in my opinion! They treat the black students different from the white students! It was always black students being blamed for stuff by the white kids! Teachers didnt do anything all day but sit at their desk on computers and handed kids packets instead of teach and it was like this all the time! Butler high school is a joke! Dont send your child to 2222 crumbs lane!

Butler Traditional High School is a perfect example of systematic racism. Do not enroll your child into this school. They have a new policy that bands Traditional Black Hairstyles and stats that an afro cannot be more than 2 inches. African Americans as well as people of color are being discriminated against. Again, do not enroll your child into this racist school.

I find the resolution to not listen to your parents and only suspending the policy to be despicable. I implore you to openly accept the current policy as a form of hatred and to integrate a policy which does not restrict the hair styles of African Americans. Recreate you idea of neat hair. Do not make these children (the future) feel as though their ethnicity is not acceptable. Do not destroy yourself while trying to destroy another. Thank you...

If your black child is white washed and not taught to love their natural selves, THIS IS the ideal school for self hate and a fantastic way to teach your impressionable teenager how to praise other cultures and dismiss their very own(black culture), which is the most appropriate way for your child to turn a blind eye racism And learn systematic self hate. GO BEARS🐾!

Wonderful ... My daughter was accepted next year 2018-2019 and I went to deliver the admission paper and the staff was very friendly and the deal was wonderful ... and we are now happy with this school ... Thank you for the school administration

Alright listen up for two seconds about the hair policy.1. Ive never seen someone with an afro in this school in my life.2. The person who put this hair style dresscode in place was a former rank, not even an official rank. They just want their voice back!3. This school provides a strong educational system with a great learning environment.

What a fabulous institution!Rules, regulations and policies that ALL must follow equally is not racism its called a civilised and structured environment. This institution is NOT racist because it doesnt cater to the demands of blacks haha wow people, smh.. Talk about entitlement.Their need to be more schools that follow this exact kind of mentality & more children would have a chance at a better life and education. If all want to be treated equally then act equally and stop demanding special treatment because if your race or culture!Off thats the case then return to your mother land so that you can do exactly that. We are of Hispanic culture and we do not demands anything other then equality and a great education, not for then to allow us to do whatever we want.If you want a traditional school with great values, great environment, and a great future Butler is the choice for you!!!

Theyve already amended the rule. The rule has been changed, if you havent seen. This is a wonderful school and while Im still attending it, the staff really does care about the students and parent opinion. If they didnt, I wouldve switched and they would have never amended the rule.Stop giving Butler bad ratings over something they have listened to opinions over time and time again and that have amended. Within the past WEEK there is already a one-star review about the rule, though it has been tossed into the trash already.Yes, I am NOT African American. YES I probably dont fully understand how you all felt/feel about it. It did disgust me, however, that they had made that rule.I am glad to be going to this school and proud of how it works. It listens to students and parents, as stated before. I have been attending school and they allow me to attend therapy in-school, which is a very VERY good thing that they do as many teens, including myself, need it and dont have the chance to outside of school.Stop giving Butler a bad name over what theyve fixed. Its a great school and Im proud to be a student there.(Also, dont give bad reviews on the school for just one student.)

Disgusted that you would even consider banning students wearing their hair the way it grows out of their head naturally. Everyone involved should be fired.

I hate this school. Absolutely hate it! It so unorganized and DIRTY in there. There were coco roaches in my gym locker. I understand all schools have them but still. It looks like they never clean the floors or the lockers, dust falls everywhere when you touch the tops of the lockers. They are racist there. On the first floor we dont even have a Celing. Theres wires everywhere. Im almost positive thats a safety hazard. They give you WAY TO MUCH WORK ! Pretty much every single teacher and you have one day to do it which is ridiculous considering we have 5 more classes and most people have a job and after school things to do. All the parents think its a good school and its not ! You dont learn anything ! You just work work work work work. I cant learn that way and neither can a lot of people. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE !!!!!!
