I came in town from IL and was training at 10P Lombard. Drew welcomed me and I felt like I was at home. Great dojo, Drew is very knowledgeable and a really cool guy. He has a very clear way of transmitting his knowledge when he reached. I was there for the electric chair position and I would say that after 10P Boulder I was a bit better then before boulder. If we can become a bit better everyday that’s a great accomplishment. Go here, you won’t be disappointed!

As a female I have never once have felt uncomfortable. Everyone here is so welcoming and makes you feel like your apart of the family! I highly recommend this place.

10th Planet Boulder is a great no-gi BJJ gym. Drew Ash is an excellent instructor who cares about his students success and is one of Eddie Bravos black belts. Ive been training here a bit over 2 years and have grown a lot. Everyone is friendly and takes care of their training partners. They also take gym cleanliness very seriously which I appreciate by cleaning and sanitizing the mats after every class. They are very helpful to beginners but also cater to the higher belts so everyone can get better at the level theyre at. Id highly recommend joining!

Met the owner, Drew last week and was invited to sit in on a class. Great group of dedicated students. Dog-friendly. Drew is a very positive person who is proud of his students.

I have been training here for two years and couldnt ask for a better group of people to strangle me. Not only is Drew an excellent teacher, he is super down to earth. At the time of writing this review, Ive been training with Drew for 6 months. I could not have asked for a better group of assassins to learn, roll, and grow with. I have formed close friendships with several of my teammates, and I chalk that up to the amazing culture and welcoming atmosphere Drew has fostered in his gym.But its not just Drew. Every single member of the gym is invested in each others improvement. The purble and blue belts (many of whom are active competitors) are extremely friendly and helpful, creating an excellent atmosphere for a newcomer to no gi brazilian jiu jitsu.If you are thinking of signing up: seriously, just do what I did and set up a free class. Ive lost 25 pounds, gained several friends, and learned a lot about myself in the process.I cannot recommend this gym highly enough!

If youre looking for no-gi BJJ in Boulder, this is the gym for you. Relatively small core group of students since the gym is still new, which gives it a nice close knit kind of feel once youve been there a while.Stop reading the internet and swing by. Everyone is nice and welcoming.

Ive been training at this place for 3 months, and its awesome! It just opened so the owner puts a lot of effort into training his students. One guy just won his first cage fight. One girl consistently places first in jiujitsu tournaments. Everyones been super nice to me even though Im a newb. Come and try a week for free. Thats how I got started.Update: I won 3rd place at a tournament! I won because the owner was in my corner coaching me through the whole match. Thanks Drew.

I have learned from many different jiu jitsu instructors between the US and Brazil, but it does not compare to the level of instruction offered at 10th Planet Boulder. Not only are the adult and kids jiu jitsu programs amazing but the wrestling program is taught by an outstanding instructor as well. The competition team is incredible at what they do! What I love most though is that everyone is welcome here, no matter what your goals are. Try a free class, you wont regret it!

Head instructor Drew and the 10th Planet Boulder family were great to train with. I cold called asking to train while working in Denver for the week and despite the drive from Denver to Boulder it was 100% worth it. Drew let me participate in the free one week trial even though I was from out of town and was unable to sign up at the time. If only I lived here I would sign up immediately because 10th Planet is on the cutting edge of jiu-jitsu and this school has an excellent instructor.Drew provides a very thorough and detailed explanation for the technique of the day. He goes over every detail of the move and gives you sufficient time to practice it. Drew also gives individual attention to each student to insure they are performing the technique correctly - if you are missing a detail he can immediately point it out and correct it.Overall Drew and the 10th Planet team will leave a lasting impact on MMA and sport jiu-jitsu. The same way BJJ changed the face of mixed martial arts back at UFC 1 is the same way that 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu will become the gold standard for grappling across the World heading into the future.The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.
