The classes are fine but, for what they charge a month, they should allow children who are enrolled in the classes to jump in the bounce house. We were just informed that unless your child has a wrist band they can’t participate. The wrist band is $10.00 per kid to go jump on a bounce house!! I have multiple kids that go to All About Kids and their classes are at different times, so the bounce house gave them something to do while their siblings are in classes and they are waiting to start theirs. And really $10.00 per kid to bounce for a hour, ridiculous!

Updated: the owner sent us an emailed the night of this review and my wife talked to her on the phone the following day. She did listen to my wifes concerns and disappointments with the class we had our daughter enrolled in. She did enroll her into a new class to see if we liked it better. It is still a disappointment that we didnt get the type of gymnastics class our daughter and us had hoped for.My daughter participated in a gymnastics class this evening and they did; stretching, somersaults (25 min), Push ups sit ups & jumping jacks (20 min), then jumped on 2 trampolines with 12 kids for the end of the hour class. Not worth it this time

We were really excited to be invited to a birthday party here, depending on how well that went we were considering booking our daughters birthday here, as well as looking into signing her up for classes. The entire birthday party was rushed from section to section and at the end the child of whom we were celebrating was told she couldnt open her gifts there because and I quote the teenager running the schedule said its my fault for not getting the food out quick enough but we cant open the gifts here which really put a bad taste in mine and husbands mouth. Then we were all quickly rushed out while still eating our cake and ice cream, many of us took the our food with us out. It just wasnt a positive experience at all and it just shows that poor time management of the establishment.

It is fun to come during the week and let your child bounce around but not to have a birthday party here. You will feel rushed the entire time. You get 30 minutes to jump on half the gym and 30 minutes on the other half, then 30 minutes in the party room. The first 15 minutes we were there, was signing waivers (fine, understandable), then a safety video (a video for toddlers who are anxious to go play, which they sight of the play area, making it much worse to keep them sitting), THEN SITTING AFTER WE WALK INTO THE GYM TO TALK ABOUT SAFETY RULES AGAIN. I just think for the amount of money it is to have a birthday party here, there isn’t enough time. Everything felt so rushed. Especially cutting 15 mins into my time that I paid for to talk about safety to toddlers. Go over it with the parents and let that be it. Don’t drag it on to toddlers that are screaming to go play. Party room was nice, but once again, rushed. And you can’t even go in it until the last 30 mins. Also they “don’t open gifts there”, so guess you’re just gonna have to tell your kid to wait until you get home and send everyone a thank you note 🙄, or you can just hand them to your kid and while she’s trying to eat like we did. After talking with Angie, she addressed all of our concerns and showed consideration for future parties. They definitely strive to keep customers and kids happy.

We have been to a number of birthday parties here over the past few years. The staff are engaging, and help the kids have a great time. I have been an athlete in the T&T program for five years now. The head coach is an amazing person and I have formed a strong bond with her since my first year of tumbling. She formed the amazing T&T program, and it has grown tremendously in the half of a decade Ive been on the team. The AAK owners will not find a single coach that is anywhere close to the head coachs standards. In the beginning I thought that the owner supported our program and wanted us to grown and become successful, but recently Ive realized that isnt the case. For example, we are not treated as well as the gymnasts because it appears that they get whatever they need. But when we need something, like a decent double mini, it takes five years for us to get one. The gymnasts are always praised and supported for their wins and accomplishments, but T&T is forgotten. There were 6 National Champions, 8 All-Star team members, we won 1st overall in double mini out of 147 teams, and there were 57 top ten finishers, but we got no recognition from AAK for our accomplishments. Those are the best 5 years of my life, and I feel neglected and forgotten because of the owners choices of pushing the head coach away without thinking twice about it. She didnt think about what was best for me and my fellow athletes, and honestly she has lost one of the most amazing and talents coaches because she was being selfish.

I have never written a bad review before, but what had gone on at AAK and the Champion T&T team has caused me to write this review. For the past 4 years we have been members of the T&T competitive team. The coaches were fantastic and our kids thrived. Even though we were never made to feel welcome among the gymnasts we stayed. The gymnastic coaches were rude and at times nasty to our team. The gymnasts had no regard for the team and our kids would have to wait to use equipment which is only meant for T&T. The coaches never reprimanded them. It was thoroughly ignored. The fees paid to AAK were quite high for our classes, yet we were made to wait, wasting our valuable class time. Yes coaches leave, but their students can also choose to leave. The kids should be able to make the choice to stay with the staff they have felt comfortable with and have thrived under. These kids have worked so hard and accomplished so much with their coaches which was seen at last years Nationals in WV. We won’t return to a place where we were made to feel unwelcome, like second class citizens. We will find a much better fit.

We had our sons 4th birthday party here and it was a great experience. When we arrived there were two girls ready with a cart to help us get everything from the car to the party room. We had some decorations of our own that they took and set up for us while the kids were playing in the gym. After the kids had finished they took care of serving cake and ice cream, drinks, and then helped clean up. It really allowed us to focus more on our son and his day, without having to worry about being hosts as well.Really a great experience.

Weve gone to open gym here for years (even had a birthday party here). Overall its a pretty incredible place for kids to run around and play: foam pits, rope swings, trampolines, slides, balance beams and pads everywhere! I also understand they have some nice gymnastics classes. If you havent been before Id probably recommend it. But...Had a fairly poor experience here today. A young female employee about half my age rudely told me in front of my six year old not to accompany him in the play area. She didnt exactly kick me out--but it was close. Im a pretty mellow person so this was totally unexpected for me! Apparently youre not allowed to accompany children over 5 years of age in the play area. I can understand the policy, and I suspect they get some pushy parents as well (please reader: Im not a pushy parent!), but the whole thing felt way out of proportion given the infraction. So next time its Skyzone!

I couldnt agree more with the post below. Weve invested so much time and money into AAK. So the coach left, after multiple attempts to work things out. And that happens. People leave jobs all the time to pursue other opportunities, further their career, make more money. Its life and its her right. We should all be able to do that without backlash. We thought about sticking with AAK and seeing how things go. But not after the way this whole ordeal has been handled. And I feel like if AAK really had confidence in their new program they would be investing their time and money into that program and not in lawsuits trying to keep an amazing coach from just doing what she loves. Its evident who cares about the kids here and who doesnt. But lets be real, its never been all about kids.

Very disappointed in the way AAK has handled the situation with the previous Champion T&T coach. Seems as if the company is doing pretty well and has a ton of business. So not sure why it is important to go after the prior coach so aggressively, to the point that my daughter who has been with this coach for 5 years can’t even be in her presence. I mean we are talking 20 athletes out of maybe 2000 kids enrolled at AAK. Just seems vindictive to attack her legally in this way, but I’m told it’s not my business even though my National Champion athlete can’t train with the coach she loves. And on a separate note, watch out if you have a booster account for one of the competitive teams at AAK. They don’t give you their “donations” if they don’t feel like it. After working tirelessly at a 2 day meet in Jan, the owner of AAK still hasn’t given the parents our hard earned money of ~$3k. Finally told us recently that she’s decided not to donate to us at this time. So basically not giving us money that is rightfully ours. More money in her pocket I guess. It appears this is how AAK runs a successful business. By chocking the coaches out and holding onto funds that don’t belong to them. Definitely not a place I feel comfortable sending my kids and paying into.

We have been with AAK for over 8 years. Over 4 years ago we joined the Champion Trampoline and Tumbling team. We have loved the coaches and all their hard work with both of my daughters. I have to say though that I never felt welcomed into the gym. Our kids were never respected and were over looked. The team wouldnt even be allowed to fully use their equipment. We stayed with the team because of the coaches that we had. When out coach and the owners could not work out their differences we were forced to decide if we wanted to stay with AAK where we were only a second thought or look for other options. I was willing to reconsider going back to AAK when a new coach was hired but during our parent meeting it was clear that we were not a major concern. The owner made it clear that she really didnt know much about the team. We were told that we would be notified when a new coach was hired even if we decided to leave in the meantime. This did not happen. Now there are court cases and the only people being hurt are the children. I am very disappointed in how AAK has handled this situation. In response to the owner:I am afraid that you did not really read my review. I did not say I was happy with AAK for 8 years. I said I was happy with the coaches that we had. We left dance when your dance director left and now we have left T&T since you director has left. I don’t think you are looking at the safely of the kids. You have hired a coach that is not at the level that the most of our kids are. We the parents have to look our for our kids because you are not.

A friend of mine went to a swim birthday party at All About Kids at the Louisville location yesterday. Not only did they not have a good time but All About Kids did not provide a lifeguard. The poor young lady they had sitting in there was not a lifeguard and did not know what was going on. I feel bad for the girl as she was doing what administration told her to do. However, it is illegal to not have a lifeguard in that size area with the amount of children in the pool area. Luckily, no one was hurt or needed immediate attention, they lucked out there. I for one will not be sending my kids there nor will I tell friends to go there. Unprofessional and unsafe.

I recently attended a birthday party at AAK what was supposed to be the fun time had more rules and structure than being in the military. With that being said the ONE!! employee that was with the children was too spaced out to notice the kids wondering were ever they wanted. Why not just let the parents help watch and HAVE FUN WITH THIER KIDS ON THIER BIRTHDAY. This was just a bad setup for birthdays all together. It may be a great place for gymnastics but I truly feel sorry for the parents who paid for thier kids birthday and couldnt share it with them. I also feel sorry for the kids to have sooooo many rules for what was supposed to be the time when they have fun. I think you should try and concentrate on whats good for the kids and customers rather than yourselves. Just when I thought I couldnt get worse we went to the party room and they had dividers splitting the room for two parties,AAK was not busy that night there was hardly anyone there soon there wasnt any reason to jam two parties in one room. WHAT A JOKE. I will be taking our child some were FUN for thier birthday.

I dropped my 4yr old off to AAK on Blankenbaker for their monthly sleepover : offering pizza, open gym, swimming, a movie, etc. At drop off, they asked what her name was to verify Id pre-registered & paid, and confirmed my phone#. She was given a wristband and pointed toward the direction she needed to go. I was not offered an agenda for the evening; no adults formally greeted her. She was nervous but I encouraged her, as moms do, to have a good time and to make friends. I should have trusted her instincts - should have asked more questions, but I trusted that they knew what they were doing because they do this all the time! At roughly 9:00p I received a call from AAK. She told me that my daughter had to be pulled from the pool because she was drowning. She was not breathing when they pulled her out. Id find out later that they did two chest-compressions before she started to cough up water and mucous. My daughter was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Tuesday following the incident, my husband and I went to the facility to speak with the owner Angela Taylor - to discuss what happened, why it happened, and to get their insurance information for our anticipated medical bill. While waiting for her, we noticed and took a picture of the sign posted on the pool door All children 5 and younger MUST be accompanied by a swimming adult. I thought that was alarming as we later found out that my 4yr-olds story was true: there were zero adults in the pool when my daughter plunged into the water at the bottom of the water slide. She said she didnt know why there werent adults in the pool. When we mentioned the sign we had just seen on the door, her excuse was along the lines of we have different rules for our slumber party nights. We thought if anything, their rules should be more stringent, not more relaxed. She also had no response when I asked why the two adults in the pool area werent in bathing suits as my 4yr old told me. Very upsetting. So what happened? According to Angela, the kids are given a swim test upon entering the pool. She said they noticed right away that my little girl was not a strong swimmer so they threw a life jacket on her and decided to keep her close. So I ask how it happens, of course if they decided to keep her close, that she gets out of the water at the shallow end, takes off her life jacket (supposedly unseen - although was TOLD to take it off in order to go down the slide), shuffles to the water slide at the opposite end of the pool, gets to the top of the slide, slides down and is submerged for what they estimate was 10 seconds?! They dont have a response. Why is there not a REQUIRED lifeguard at the top of the slide? Why is there not a REQUIRED lifeguard at the bottom?! My child could have died and it was 100% preventable. Later that night, while lying next to my daughter in her ER bed, the doctor told me that Madelyn may throw up but that it was normal after her trauma. I kind of laughed and said Oh no! All that pizza is going to make a mess! but she corrected me & told me they hadnt eaten yet. I was speechless. This incident occurred at nearly 9:00! She hadnt eaten since lunch, which at her daycare is 11:30a! AAKs response to this was well, the pizza is meant to be a late-night snack while theyre watching the movie and getting into bed. Why isnt this communicated with parents? My poor little girl - exhausted from hours of gymnastics play, put in a pool after having not been fed, told to take her life jacket off to go down the unattended slide, and left to sink at the bottom for 10+ seconds. To me, thats a lot of neglect. AAK assures me this is the first time any of this has ever happened, but my child is not a martyr. Theyve done a lot of kids wrong and theyre incredibly lucky that no child has had to experience what my daughter has. Angela also assures me that policies have since changed - they no longer let 4 or 5 year olds in the pool for Slumber Parties, as if age was a factor here. This could have happened to ANYbody - age has absolutely NOTHING to do with it.
