The instruction at Louisville Academy of Music has far exceeded my expectations for piano instruction for my kids. When my nervous, emotional child arrived at her first lesson, the teacher helped her to relax then showed her all these amazing things inside the piano. In 15 minutes they were playing keys on the piano together. It was incredible. She LOVED that lesson and every lesson since. This is the experience I want for my child — to feel big feelings and to see that she can get through it and sometimes even LOVE what’s on the other side of fear. That experience alone makes it worth every cent.  I highly recommend Andy, Sara and Louisville Academy of Music!Plus, LAM now has Shine Music Together in house, for babies and kids up to 7. Maria Whitley’s approach to developmental appropriate music education is unparalleled for young children. She is amazing - the best in the city!!!

Wonderful place to find a multitude of musical instruction from guitar, piano, violin, voice .. you name it they have a competent instructor to teach it. Housed in the old Speed house, they have a recital room as well. Easy to work with regarding payments and their office is quick to respond to a question.

My daughter has been taking violin lessons with Ms. Sara Soltau for the past 2 years. We are so impressed with Saras professionalism, teaching skills, and kindness. We are grateful for the LAM community and hope to be a part of it for many more years to come!
