Withdrew before the week was over and now they’re saying I have a balance to pay enough though I didn’t attend. I’ve reached out to try and fix the situation and they do not answer.I regret even looking at this horrible school. Nothing but a money grabbing scam. Don’t waste your time here.

If I could give zero stars I would. Communication is non existent. Never in my school life have I had so many financial aid advisors that switch out. When trying to find contact info it’s no where to be found. Financial aid department is a total disaster. Now, the ones that have communicated with me ( different staff) this is not directed towards them in any way.My dream of becoming a nurse is just out the window now. There’s only so many years you can try and still haven’t made it. Some people push on but also changing your major doesn’t mean you have given up. I’m in my 3rd quarter with 1 quarter left and I’m dropping out. It’s super expensive they offer little to no help. I regret ever coming here honestly.

If you’re looking for stress free on the back end with the liaison and student services, this is not the school for you. They do not communicate and there’s too many people within the students account. No one reads the previous notes and everyone continuously says something different. I have been quoted differently for pricing, a couple of times. Nothing matches. Save all your emails and PDF’s of your financial agreements because they will tell you you’re not right or that you agreed to something different. As far as classes, they are your typical online courses with discussions. What they fail to mention is the mandatory group projects within certain courses. (They are a disaster and I have found students will take a back seat and allow one person to do all the work and when it is brought up to the instructors they simply tell you to hold your peers accountable. They don’t get involved) I would not recommend this school.

Galen was a fantastic choice for me and my nursing school career. We are given so many resources to be successful, every professor that I have had has been more than willing to help me succeed. This means even some professors meeting over zoom on the weekend to have a 1:1 time to help get you what you need. It’s an accelerated program and you HAVE to be willing to put in the work but the instructors and other faculty really truly want everyone to succeed.

People all have different experiences, but I have had an incredible experience at Galen. Everyone replies to me extremely fast and they work with me on paying for school. I cant say enough wonderful things about the instructors. Im currently in my 4th quarter and Ive loved everyone so far. They want you to succeed here and they give you the tools to do that. Ive met with many of my instructors one on one and they always work with me and who I am. They help me come up with a study plan that works for how I learn, they explain things until I get it. Ive felt so cared about by every instructor, advisor, etc. Galen gave me my life back and I am so grateful for that.

As I have not started this school Im not sure about the actual teaching and school part, but I will say dealing with their finical aid department is very tedious and lacking the quickness it should, as most nursing school in Louisville and other areas do not take nearly as long as they do. I was supposed to start in January it is now May and my finical aid packaging is still not packaged and it is unbelievably frustrating. I have been sending them the information they need telling me that it is all the forms and I will be on my way to next steps (which is scheduling classes) but to my surprise I am still sending them paperwork they already have on file and still being asked for the same ones and more. This has gone on since before or about November 2020 and it is now May almost June 2021 that is unbelievable. All Ive been wanting to do is start my education into nursing since January which you think theyd be on their toes about it since everyone is lacking medical staff and nurses but I continue to be held back for months now and its now made me not even want to attend this school. From my perspective now its made me realize all they want is money not about the education of their students.

I am a new student starting in April. I can tell you That the administrator Rachael has been a blessing. If the professors are anything like her I know i will do great here. I have been so worried about taking this step, however Rachel has made me feel so comfortable , and positive. Thank you Rachael for everything.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. For the amount of money you pay it is NOT worth it. No communication. Many complaints and nothing is ever done. Have had experience with being unsafe on campus grounds and nothing has been done. Save your money, save your time and go somewhere else.

Attending Galen has been the best experience. Everyone starting from Admissions has been extremely supportive and still supportive. Instructors/Professors are willing to go the extra mile just to help you succeed. It is worth every penny! Some of these negative reviews are ridiculous.

The college is accredited. Credit will transfer. It is not yet SACs accredited (Jan 27, 2013) which limit you. If you are looking for a solid nursing education, excellence and beyond staff who go above and beyond, than this is it. They promise only what they can fulfill. I am a graduate. I am proud to say I graduated from here. I passed my nursing boards the first time! I am nurse just like any other truly respectable nurse from any other very difficult and challenging nursing program. It is not easy. There are GPA requirements, and attendance requirements before admission into the program. It is similar to any other nursing program prerequisites. Do not be miss informed. This school is excellent and like anything you get out what you put in.

I don’t even know where to begin with how horrible the school is. I have been to many schools and I’ve never such a horrible experience such as this one. All they care about is money, they don’t care of the students are actually learning. They hire incompetent people to stand in front of you in the classroom and read word for word. The teachers can’t even explain the material and are unable to answer questions. The one teacher they have that can teach the course is online when he should be on ground. I took classes on ground so I could be taught but I still had to teach myself. I’ve failed NUR 265 by 1 point after studying my tail off because we practically didn’t have a teacher. People have complained and nothing has been done. They passed the previous class by making the ATI count and decided after this quarter started to change it, that’s unfair!!! I gave it 1 start because I had to. Everyone is fed up at this point and something needs to be done so this does not continue. We are paying for services we are not receiving. They make you pay for lab every quarter just to do absolutely nothing. I was considering doing their BSN program but there’s absolutely no way I’ll be giving them a penny more once I finish the bridge program.DO NOT attend Galen, get a real education elsewhere.

Their mistake costed me $107 out of pocket and then not being able to take 12 credit hours because of scheduling prerequisites means I dont get my BAH ($1500) for the next three months so thats awesome. Id go to Sullivan or anywhere else if I were you.

Dont waste your time with this school. They care more about your money then your education and well being. Their computer system is horrible and you never get the classes that you want, their class schedules are horrible too. I could go on and on. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. This is why I switched schools and I am way happier with my new school.

The hell with this school. They make the classes so freakin difficult so students can retake these expensive ass classes over and over again. They do not teach you all thats needed for each exams. They like to go through answers for the exams given in the prior day and kept apologizing that they were suppose to teach that before the past exam but because the school had a day off that day 95 percent of the failed almost all exams. Scoring 50 or below. I hate this school so freakin much I had no idea why I went there in the first place. Waste of my thousands of dollars. $355 dollars per credit hour and you need 108 credit hours to complete associate degree. Other schools only require 72 credit hours for asscosiate. I should have done my research before I enrolled but now I know.

I have just completed the Practical Nursing program and will begin the RN bridge program in a week. Galen College of Nursing is a very challenging program. It is fast-paced and demands students be dedicated and persistent. There are many opportunities for community service in addition to course work and clinical experiences. I have been involved with the Student Advisory Council, Peer Tutoring and the Galen Student Nurse Organization. It has been a very rewarding experience overall. I plan to continue my education by earning a BSN at Spalding University.I have found the teachers to be caring and knowledgeable. They have demonstrated on numerous occasions their dedication to student success. At their behest I have contacted instructors on weekends as I studied for exams to be certain of my interpretation of the text.If you are a serious student, who really wants to be a nurse and work in the healthcare field I believe Galen can help you achieve your goals.

MISTAKE-Professor is a FELONPLEASE DO ME A HUGE FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! The St.Petersburg campus is ran by money hunger, lying, cheating and the most selfish people I have ever met! I am an ADN student and I wish I never stepped foot nito this school. OH, yes their song and dance is great and they make you feel like the are interested in your well being but when you sign on thast dotted line and they have your money in hand. That song and dance is over and you are just another one of their puppets that is paying their paychecks.Ms. Holmes ( Brandi Jennifer Holmes) She is the Math teacher. Is a convicted felon. Drug user, criminal. That in just this past March 2014- was convicted of drug charges, lying to police, using someone id and her past record includes DUI and many other charges.. Google her name.. There she is in black and white. She is a horrible teacher and hates women. She will tell you the first day of class that she only remembers guys names. She changes her rules and policies, and teaches you wayyyyy to fast and then hands you the quiz and exams and the material is not what she taught you. She gets some sick pleasure out of failing students.Forget going to administration! They are worse.. Ms. Riles is another one with a past. She has been fired from numerous jobs because of harrassing and not following the rules. She walks around like everyone owes her something. Just because she has “titles” after her name does not give her the right to treat the students the way she does. I WOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!! WORSE MISTAKE I HAVE MADE IN A LONG TIME!
