Kayfield Academy is the best childcare in Louisville!I was very apprehensive of enrolling my little one in childcare so I kept him home from when he was born until 15 months old. I decided it was time for me to return back to work and the research began. I looked at so many places and when my husband and I toured at Kayfield we knew it would be the second home to our son. Having camera access is one of the many services they provide. Just being able to log in and see your child interacting with his/her friends is very rewarding. Kayfield provides parents with a meal schedule and you can see all the meals your little one will have. The teaching curriculum is seriously the best! My son could only say 2 to 3 words when we enrolled him and a couple of months later he had learned so many words/ colors/ numbers and more. The teachers at Kayfield are just angels on earth! They are very loving, caring and make your child feel right at home.Staff/teachers and directors are very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be forever thankful with Kayfield and everyone who has been in my sons life’s. Words cannot expressI just want to say thank you to each and everyone of you for making a difference in my sons life you.

Kayfield Academy 2 is an AMAZING daycare. My little one started there at 12 weeks and we are so happy to have him there. The staff is incredibly caring and make great efforts to get to know the children and the families. Everyday I get a very detailed log of my sons day and I can take a peek using the cameras if I ever feel a little separation anxiety. The love and care they show for children is obvious and I am so thrilled having my son here. I know that my son is in a safe and loving environment. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking,

I absolutly love working here! Staff is incredible, and personable. I am very comfortable talking with administrators about work or personal issues and they are very flexible. I love each class I have and love that we use every moment during the day a teachable moment. Playing is more than just toys, it’s building towers and learning balance. It’s dressing baby dolls and learning to button up their shirt by themselves instead of asking for help. Kayfield is home for so many families and we would love to accept yours!

Caring teachers. Attentive staff. Excellent educational program. The previous review commenting on the militaristic atmosphere seems to be taken out of context. I have trusted Kayfield to care for and educate my children for 4 years, And will continue as long as possible. The strict scheduling has been an integral part of their development and enforced with the love and care I would expect from a family. Any issues have been promptly resolved. Recommend to anyone!

This is actually the best daycare in Louisville and I’m not sure if it’s even close. We have a 6 month old that gets constant attention and care. It’s a bit more expensive than the other centers but you get what you pay for in that respect, and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with them.

This is by far unlike any childcare facility ever before. I am a lead teacher here. I enjoy my job. Tina is a top notch director that not many could not compare to. The children learn a well rounded curriculum that exceeds the average standard. The Pre-K room more than prepares my child for Kindergarten. It really places her above average. I could not be more thrilled with a place for my children to attend or to work!!!!👍👍👍👍👍

We chose this place for our babys care after 6 months of home care and we were greatly disappointed. This Academy turned out to be a rigid military academy with little to no compassion for babies. Our baby was forced to drink from a cup instead of his usual bottles, which turned into him drinking as little as 1/2 oz in the whole day because they wouldnt change their strict rules to accommodate a transition for our baby. They also had a set schedule to feed them and wouldnt do it outside this window. Also, this place has a 3 hour nap time every afternoon (which I have been told is even against state regulations) and very loud music during nap time (which I have also been told is not right to do with babies). The loudness makes me believe they dont want to hear them cry, since I watch my baby on camera being very uncomfortable for a long time and decided to pick him up...I found him crying uncontrollably in his crib alone on his tummy while the teachers did nothing in a corner. Lights dimmed and music up and my baby crying for who knows how long with no one soothing or comforting him. Thank goodness it only took us three days to realize this and that all days were early pickups, because he was sick and they wouldnt give him medications or clear his nose either. Please do your homework before dropping your precious baby in strangers hands, and not only before but after enrolling, check on them to make sure they are giving your love one the care you expect them to. This place has a system I just dont agree with and I think its not only wrong but unsafe. I cant believe they are in business operating like this. Good luck to all the moms that have to go to work and leave their babies with strangers.May 29, 2019So, as the new owner says, their policies and practices might have changed. Ive been asked to remove my review but I wont do it. I instead encourage you all to do your homework before enrolling your children anywhere, like anyone would do. I had excellent recommendations from this place before we enrolled my son and there are a few good reviews as well, so I encourage the owner and new administration to continue doing things right so they get more positive reviews and those will eventually bury mine as times goes by. Good luck with your new philosophy.

Kayfield Academy is a home away from home for my children. My daughter (now in 2nd grade) attended Kayfield from the time she was one and a half until she started kindergarten. My son currently attends (4 years old) and my little girl (age two). Throughout the years, weve gotten to know most all of the Kayfield staff. I want to share the pros and cons of this early learning center.Pros1. Structured curriculum: my daughter entered kindergarten knowing all 50 states, and capitals, all presidents in order of inauguration, how to read, write and simple math. Kindergarten actually reversed most of her learning (sadly). Least common denominator theory of public schools, I guess.2. Compassion and caring: Every child has individual needs and personality. Kayfield does not instill a one-size-fits-all mentality. My son had a high level of anxiety that kept him from attending earlier. Every single teacher he has had went out of their way to ensure my son felt loved, included, and empowered him with a great level of purpose and confidence.3. Leadership: Kayfield produces leaders. Each of my children learned far more than I could have taught them about rules of being a good friend to others, sharing, leadership, caring, and all values that make a child successful as they move through life. It is incomprehensible to imagine my children without these foundational qualities taught by Kayfield Academy.4. Safety and Security: Needless to say, we live in troubling times. It seems that every time we turn on the local or national news - there is a story of violence in our city streets - or worse - in our schools. Kayfield Academy has always been a safe place for my children. I can go off to work knowing they are safe and secure with highly trained teachers and administrative staff - all heavily trained in knowing what to do to keep all children safe in any conceivable types of disaster - from natural or man-made. There are live camera feeds securely accessed by parents in each classroom, a direct line to speak with any teacher and constant communication between staff and parents. External security doors and internal access doors prevent unwanted traffic, and inconspicuous building and grounds keep unauthorized traffic away. It is as safe as a place can possibly be. Period.5. Happiness: Bottom line, my children are all happy. In an age where it isnt always possible for a parent to stay home with their children, parents sometimes feel bad or guilty that their children have to be raised by someone else. This is not the case. This isnt a place where children are placed in a room full of mean children and just babysat for hours on end. Every day was a happy adventure for my children - they actually cried when they had to be at home away from friends, teachers and fun activities (and we do adventurous stuff every weekend!!) I could drop off my children knowing they would be safe, happy and loved each day. That is priceless. Even grandma could not have provided the learning, fun and involvement from Kayfield. What more could you ask for!!??ConsGraduation day from Kayfield. Seriously, this is so sad. The school goes all out and has a HUGE production for the little ones heading off to kindergarten. It is a real tear-jerker. You realize your little baby is all grown up (not really - drama) and they have made these wonderful friends - teachers are crying, and the director (Tina Grady) through tears of happiness and sadness- explains how happy she was to be a part of so many little special lives.Okay, so you can either believe this review, or dont. Kayfield isnt cheap - but you get what you pay for. Honestly, they cost about the same as the kindercares (more like shawshank) of the childcare world. I have no chips in the game for saying this other than it would make me sad to know that some child could miss out on perhaps one of the greatest times of their early little lives if you dont know this. I saw a bad review here, and wanted to set the record straight - sometimes parents just feel guilty or are CRAZY. Yep
