We came to know of Saint Ambrose when our eldest was just a toddler.  We talked about her going over the years and finally sent her in 7th grade.  She has been thriving as we knew she would 3 years later.  We decided to send her brother who was a bit more hesitant to say the least. Boy, what a great decision that was!  His first day, he wrote on our dry erase board at home, God is the first uncaused cause.  He was stirred up from the get go! He is thriving academically, socially and spiritually. I could not ask for a better gift than for our kids to grow in virtue in every way.  We have future children that we fully intend to send to Saint Ambrose.  We are beyond thrilled with the classical education approach and teaching them to think.  We have also found a tremendous community from the teachers, faculty and other families. As someone with very little family in Wisconsin, Saint Ambrose has filled the gap for us in every way.

St. Ambrose is a top Madison educator! We have 3 children enrolled at St. Ambrose for the clear educational gifts and formation this school imparts to young people: helping them grow in a love for learning, critical thinking, knowledge, wisdom, and reverence for God and one another. Were choosing a school that exceptionally prepares kids to thrive in life. Were a young school (18 years!), but early graduates are already earning STEM PhDs, becoming lawyers and doctors, teachers and missionaries, and entering the military or religious life. Our small classes ensure individualized attention while our faculty of 13 (4 with PhDs, 7 with masters) are experts in their fields and sincere witnesses of the faith. Our broad and winning program of extracurriculars support and nourish a breadth of interests and life skills. Best of all, this community fosters high standards, responsibility, acceptance, and ownership - all combining to equip our kids to rise to any challenge and to create a truly human society based on our needs for God, community, love in truth, mercy, and justice.

St. Ambrose Academy is an incredible school! I have two children that have graduated from the school who have gone on to enjoy successful college and professional experiences due to their great education! Currently, I have a 7th grader in the school. During this 2020-2021 school year, I am deeply grateful for the schools commitment to meeting the unique needs of families. The school has gone to great lengths to provide two learning options to families during the pandemic. We parents can choose virtual learning or in-person learning. My son needs in person education, and I have been so impressed by the safety measures the school has put in place so that kids like my son can learn in person.

St. Ambrose is a wonderful Catholic school with an amazing staff and faculty that truly cares for their students and school families. Virtual schooling has been extremely difficult for our family of 6 children. Parents should have the right to decide what is the best educational setting for their childs particular needs. St. Ambrose is offering families options: distance or in-person learning. My son is very excited to be returning to school with his classmates and teachers. I have confidence that all recommended safety protocols will be followed and he will have a great year. All parents and students deserve the choice St. Ambrose is providing and working to protect.

We have great confidence in the education our students are receiving at St. Ambrose, as well as the environment in which they are learning. Faculty and staff are knowledgeable and caring, and students thrive as they learn. All three of our St. Ambrose graduates are successful in their chosen fields, due in great part to the excellent education they received at St. Ambrose. College was easily accessible for them, and the study habits they learned at this classical academy have served them very well. We are proud to send our remaining students to St. Ambrose as well, knowing that they can attend either in person or virtually, depending on their health and other circumstances. Thank you, St. Ambrose!

Our Ambrosian is energized and has positive stories to share about her classmates, teachers, and overall experiences DAILY. From Mrs. Esguerra to Mrs. Hineline to Mr. Delaney to Dr. Monohan to Mr. Schmiesing (I could go on and on)... we hear the latest and greatest about what she’s learning and, we see how excited she is to go to school each and every day. Who knew Latin, Science, and Math could be so... FUN! I’ve never seen this high level of engagement in our 12-year old, and as a parent I’m pleased to know that our child is in such good hands with the team of staff and families at St. Ambrose.

When public schools are allowed to have daycares with more children per class in person and much fewer precautions instead of just allowing actual school, St. Ambrose has been fighting for our need for in person schooling. We are not able to do homeschooling and virtual learning caused daily tears, anxiety, depression, falling behind, and headaches from staring at screens. And parents who need to work? St. Ambrose spent thousands of dollars and rented a whole other building so we could social distance even more and be safe, so we could have the essential inperson schooling our kids desperately need. Our county, parents, economy, needs to function and be healthy physically, spiritually, and mentally. St. Ambrose also accomodates distance learning if parents feel better doing so. My BF is an ER doc and has stated not having school is nothing but media lies and stiring up fear. Numbers of Corona going up does not mean illness has gone up. They never say if these people who tested positive were actually sick or seriously ill. The flu is way worse for kids. Most people just get a headach and low grade fever. The CDC, and American Academy of pediatrics has stated in person schooling is best for the health of our children and families. St. Ambrose is an amazing school academically, spiritually, and physically, making extreme precatious for safety. St. Ambrose stands up for the students who cant stand for themselves.

We chose to pull our oldest daughter out of another good area school and send her to St. Ambrose in 6th grade, because we knew St. Ambrose to be the best holistic (Catholic, classical, personal) education she and our other children could get anywhere in the entire diocese. That every parent is on the same page has solidified our decision. A great school community!

Our family loves St. Ambrose Academy! I’m grateful for the opportunity to send my kids to a school that is rooted in the Catholic faith and that challenges them to learn, think, grow and succeed. I especially love that they’ll work with anyone to provide this education, if you truly want it, regardless of means.

An amazing 6-12 Catholic school which has been steadfast in their dedication to offer families an excellent JH and HS education. The school has developed programs to meet students where they are. St Ambrose Academy is offering parents the right to choose how their child learns best and safest, whether virtual or in-person. I highly recommend this school which cares so deeply for all of its students and their entire families.

Magnificent! Just a magnificent blow for freedom! A magnificent outcome for the freedom of parents to educate their children as they see fit. And a comeuppance to the tinhorn petty dictators who operate as if they can dictate their whim and caprice without rebuttal. We remain a nation (and county) of laws. Best wishes to the whole SAA family for a hugely successful 20-21 school year. Semper fi!

St. Ambrose Academy is an wonderful Catholic school. All three of my children graduated from St. Ambrsoe and are now in college and graduate school. They all have credited their education at St. Ambrose Academy for their success in college. It was great having an option for a truly Catholic school with a strong focus on academics.

I was a 2017 graduate of St. Ambrose Academy. To this day, I look back fondly at the human and educational development I received at this school. Here, I received the critical thinking skills to excel at the University level. I have since noticed that I had an advantage when compared to my peers especially in the liberal arts. St. Ambrose forms and develops the Catholic men and women who will lead the next generation. I am proud to support this school!

School does not care about the safety of its students. They sued Dane county to be able to teach in-person classes, despite knowing that students and their familys could get sick or worse. Maybe they should focus on improving their abysmal STEM rankings instead of fighting for the right to get their students sick.

All of my children have attended St. Ambrose Academy, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Our children have gone on to study Physics at Princeton, Political Science at Boston College and Notre Dame, Law at Marquette University, Musical Theater at Boston Conservatory, Biological Sciences and Music at UW Madison, and we still have more to go! Of course our children might have done just as well at other schools, but they would have missed out on the fabulous spiritual formation and the integral fashion in which the material is presented that helps each child form a God-centered, rational, and cohesive world view and self-understanding.I am also so proud of the way the school has dealt with the virus situation. The science clearly indicates that safely reopening schools is the right thing to do. Very many nations, states, counties, and municipalities have come to the same conclusion, as well as the CDC. You can find the CDC conclusion about schools reopening on their website. When our county decided to force all private schools to close, not only was this action unlawful, it was nonsensical and unsupported by any rational argument. I am so proud of our school for taking on these bullies and doing the right thing for our kids!God bless St. Ambrose Academy!
