Peridot Montessori has been the absolute best thing for my daughter. They have a very loving and nurturing environment. The teachers take the time to get to know each and every child. The teachers here are all Montessori trained, which is essential for guiding children through the Montessori curriculum.It is a very organized and structured environment. They have a wide array of learning materials and maintain absolute cleanliness. They maintain a great balance with academics, out door activities and hands-on learning. I have been very pleased with my daughters progress. She went a shy and introverted person and came out as a confident and outgoing person. I would highly recommend Peridot Montessori.

This school is wonderful!! I toured most every school in the area and then ended my search after touring this one. It is a hidden gem. If you want somewhere that is safe, provides healthy snacks, has a homelike feel, and highly experienced/educated teachers and staff then I highly recommend looking here.

Peridot Montessori was a fantastic school for our family. Gretchen has done the best job of building a Montessori School that exemplifies the Montessori model of education. The teachers are fantastic. Janaki and Valerie I could not recommend more highly! We drove about an hour each day for my son to attend here and it was worth it everyday. Thanks for giving my son such a wonderful foundation to build on and a love of learning.

In trying to locate a preschool for my grandchild we visited most of the highly rated preschools in both Huntsville and Madison. None offered that gut feeling of “this is it” as did the Peridot Montessori. It had a warm friendly feeling along with all of the academics, cleanliness, nutrition, certifications and security we desired. During her almost year long tenure there, we have watched my grandchild blossom and grow both in academics and social skills. Their program is well rounded, of course child centered and absolutely geared to meet the needs of the individual child. The greatest measurement comes on a daily basis when my grandchild is excited to get up and leave for school with joy in her heart and a smile on her face. She gives and receives hugs from her teachers and marches into school with confidence and contentment. Peridot Montessori has been a stellar experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best preschool experience for their child.

We enrolled our boys in the primary program when they were four.After we moved to Madison, it was really hard to find the right daycare for them.Our first daycare turned out to be a bad experience.Then we found Peridot Montessori and our first impression during the tour was so positive.We observed a peaceful and happy atmosphere among the kids.The primary classroom is in a wonderful bright, newly furnished house and its home-like.And after the comprehensive introduction about the Montessori learning from the teacher, we were convinced that this could be the right place for our kids.And it was the right choice!The kids are now in the 2nd year in the primary program and they are so happy to be there. They really love to go to school.It’s a warm, creative, atmosphere during the daily well-balanced schedule.The team provides instruction while encouraging the creativity and independence of the kids.They also have so much fun to play outside in the garden with their school friends.Our boys have learned so much during this time, socially and academically.I can highly recommend this treasure.Thank you, Peridot Montessori!

My kids (twin boys) love going to Peridot Montessori. It is a brand new Montessori school in Madison that opened this spring 2017 and my boys were the first students to join. I like the personal care that Gretchen shows on each of my boys and the interest she shows in identifying each childs potential and adding more learning activities based on her findings. I chose this school for my kids especially after looking at how Gretchen is raising her own son. She is passionate about Montessori way of teaching and i can see that in her every act.Also, my boys and i love the school set up and environment.

We feel completely blessed to have found Peridot Montessori. Gretchen and her staff have been fantastic with my grandson. The environment that Gretchen has created is peaceful, loving and respectful. This is not your typical daycare but an extension of home. When I was told how the very young children would be working toward independence, I was skeptical. Through Gretchens nurturing we have seen our grandson flourish. I selfishly would like to keep Peridot our own little secret but I dont think that would be fair to Huntsville.

Peridot Montessori is a true hidden gem! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, the school provides a safe and engaging atmosphere for children to grow and learn in. The teachers provide an excellent Montessori curriculum and my son learned so much! We will be sad to leave when we move on to public school, but are so thankful for our time at Peridot! It it a wonderful little Montessori school!

When we moved to the area, I was due to start working full-time again and was hard-pressed to find a daycare I liked. We toured a few places, and everything felt too chaotic, too loud, too dirty, too impersonal --- and then I found Peridot Montessori. The environment is calm and nurturing, so much so that I was able to leave my son in the toddler building, happily playing, to tour the primary school. The teachers are intelligent, experienced and passionate about their jobs. The kids are happy and obviously enjoying this self-directed learning environment. Since his first day at Peridot as an 18-month-old, my son has exponentially grown in his social skills, his knowledge and his capabilities. As he moves on to the primary school, Im excited to see what this nurturing environment will do for him. Because for me, its provided great peace of mind and joy in watching him grow outside our home under the guidance and kindness of others.
