We absolutely love Little Chicks Learning Academy. We have used both nontraditional and traditional care with this wonderful center. The teachers and staff are phenomenal. Our 18-month-old has been with the traditional center since September and we have had an amazing experience. His teachers are warm, dynamic, highly educated, incredibly caring, and our kid comes home happy, bright, and smiling every day. Each day my partner and I see how much he is learning with his teachers and fellow classmates, and we leave him each day with absolute peace of mind knowing that he is with people who truly love him. We love the whole philosophy of the center, we deeply appreciate the relationships we have developed with his teachers and other staff, and we have found a home with Little Chicks. Thank you for taking such tremendous care of our kiddo!

We used the non-traditional care when we were in town for a week for University business. Our 2-year old had never had day/care before and was scared. Within a day she was happily playing and they were great with her. They were extremely understanding of nervous parents with travel and caring with the babies and children we saw. The process for short-term care was straightforward and priced appropriately. Will definitely use again when we are back for work.

We have had consistently great experiences with Little Chicks. We have been using the non-traditional, drop-in care for about 6 months. The facility and teachers are wonderful. Our son loves getting dropped off and is always in great spirits when I pick him up. I especially love their outdoor play space. My son doesnt go to daycare regularly, which could make it challenging for both parents and kid when he does go, but I dont worry for a second when hes at Little Chicks. I know he loves it and is being well cared for.

This day care is amazing! My daughter has been here for nearly 3 years now (wow, time flies!), and she loves it! We are so happy to receive such high level quality care due to great financial assistance offered by the school. Our daughter is learning something new every day, and they help her develop in a way most suited to her individual requirements instead of generic responses. The staff know her very well, listen to her, and then respond accordingly. Furthermore, they also know US very well, they are very engaging and communicable when we are dropping off, or picking up. This day care is a must choose, they will be our auotmatic go to!

Really disappointed in this establishment. Despite the higher fees, the location was ideal and the initial tour made the center seem welcoming and representative of a more diverse community here in Madison. Unfortunately it appears to be a scam to get families to sign a contract requiring a large deposit with nonexistent cancellation policies. Beware of comments upon introduction about not being bound to the contract.For over a month we struggled with the classroom teachers on when and how much our breastfed child should eat. He was repeatedly lethargic upon pickup due to overfeeding and had often been given a bottle right before my arrival even after numerous requests not to feed him within the hour before pickup and always clearly conveying my planned pickup time. My husband and I both tried talking to the teachers numerous times in an attempt to find a solution that worked for everyone. This proved unsuccessful and we ended up raising concern with the Director who claimed they were a breastfeeding friendly childcare center and then sent us unsolicited and incorrect information on how much and when our infant should be bottle fed. Our breastfeeding relationship continued to suffer, and we were asked to provide a letter from our pediatrician for our child’s “medical condition.” Our pediatrician reassured us that we were not in the wrong and happily provided a letter backing up our feeding schedule. She was even happier when she found out that removed our child from this unaccommodating center.In the 5 weeks we were there, our child was never taken outside (despite nice weather and frequently low ratios.) The day to day communication with the teachers and administration was difficult, both in person and over the phone (always going to voicemail with a delay in returned calls.) Months later we struggled to get our tax statements and when trying to share our concerns with the owner, she suggested we report her own institution to State Licensing.

We absolutely love Little Chicks for our 15 month old daughter. We have been in the traditional care for 6 months and could not be happier. The classroom teachers are caring, attentive, and fun (and quite hilarious making drop-off and pick-up a real pleasure). Most importantly the staff are invested in the kiddos, communicate well with the parents, and always go above and beyond, even organizing fun weekend get togethers with the families. We are extremely grateful for our little chicks family and would highly recommend the facility to others.

Avoid at any cost. It is a shame that UW Madison uses this place for child care for its faculty, staff and students. Our child was not allowed to eat there as a punishment. They fired the caregiver but the attitude of the establishment was not claim that it was a miscommunication. I was surprised to see that this place is still open given the findings of the investigations by the state and city authorities.

I have been in the early childhood education field for over ten years and I am also a mom of two. I have worked at LCLA for over a year and it is a great place for children. My own children went to a corporate daycare that I used to work for and I wish that I had found this place earlier, both as a parent and a preschool teacher. We encourage children to “ be brave But safe”. We allow children to explore, get messy, ask questions, be curious and we spend a lot of time outside, about twice the amount of a normal daycare. Our curriculum is play based and child led, which is very unique and rare. We are able to do this by having low child to teacher ratios and two teachers in every classroom. I am very happy to work for this wonderful childcare and as a mother I would recommend it.

Our daughter attended Little Chicks non-traditional care starting from 3 months old, and we were continually impressed with the phenomenal teachers and staff. As first-time parents and graduate students, we greatly appreciated the flexibility, support, and exceptional care that we received. It was a relief and joy to see our daughter grow, play, and engage in creative activities over the year in a safe and nurturing environment.

My daughter loves it here. The teachers are awesome - caring, fun, and great at keeping me informed. We attend the non-traditional rooms, and I think that’s particularly challenging because some kids are there for such a short time, but I’ve been beyond impressed with how the teacher handle it. Can’t say enough good things about Little Chicks.

Every interaction I have had with the staff here has always been positive! They have a wonderful facility with teachers who have always put the time in for the children in their care! They get to do awesome activities and have so much fun there! I love it!

My son has been going here for over a year, and I have nothing but the highest of praise for the staff. His teachers have been excellent, the center continually meets and exceeds national standards for excellence, and the management is present and communicative. Highly recommended.

My son attended Little Chicks for a year or so as a very young toddler. The staff were kind and competent, and the facilities were clean. They made good use of their small outdoor play area. Expect a wait list for entry.

Absolutely love it here. My daughter adapted so well her first week and looks forward to going every day. Her teachers are amazing and the communication from the director is great. I would highly recommend Little Chicks.

My experience is very bad with them. I would never ever recommend anyone to this day care. My daughter never stop crying in their day care and she was very scared from the place. After 15 days, i heard my instinct and change the day care. She is very happy in the new one and developing, and learning new things.I would never choose that for my kid.

Your child deserves better! The University being associated with this daycare is shocking and disappointing. Disorganized, not child focused, not research-based, not high quality care.

Reservation process is so bad, they say 2 weeks in advance only. I learned accidently that they already booked for some people without following the policy. Care is ok, if you dont have a better option.beaware this review for non-tradional care.
