Incredible clubs. Sailing especially is an incredible value: unlimited lessons and boat use for remarkably cheap. Very wide array of boats. Note that lesson registration opens on 9pm Thursdays for the following week. But the instructors are very accommodating and will do their best to teach you. Food provided for members at the Friday night socials.

Their Hoofers Youth Sailing day camps are the best! I highly recommend this program! The Youth Director and other workers are so kind to the kids and they come home with new facts they learned everyday! It is so well run, we love it!! They have half-day and full day options which is great for working parents. On the last day they throw all the kids a pizza party. Thank you!!!

Does not allow Autistic people on the property. Takes funding for handicapped accessibility, tho. but doesnt allow them on the boats, or as members.

Terrific place to rent a kayak or canoe and go out on the lake. Tandem kayaks and wakeboard rentals are also available, and its all extremely affordable for students. During busy periods, they have a reservation system that will text you when watercraft become available.

Phenomenal way to spend a summer and a great way to learn to sail. Not Autism friendly, you will be banned if autistic, but if normal, you will have a great time.

Dont bother signing up to learn to sail if you have a 9-5 job. Youll never be able to get into a class because every evening and weekend class is full. The staff will tell you that you need know tips and tricks like being in front of your computer on a certain night at a certain time on their terrible website, ready to click click as fast as you can so you can get into a class thats off-business hours. Frankly, if I have to know and practice tips and tricks in order sign up for a class then something is wrong. I tried asking for a refund because of the lack of class availability but was told Id have to fill out a three page form on paper, sign and snail mail it in, wait a week, have my case reviewed by the commodore, then if that person decided to grant the refund, Id then have to wait three to four months for said refund. Learning to sail? Great idea, great concept. So poorly and bureaucratically executed that youll probably never learn to sail if youre a regular Joe/Jane with a regular job.

Friendly staff. The prices for renting kayaks are cheap - $11/hour. But the life jackets smelled so freaking bad!! They really need to buy new ones or figure out how to clean the old ones. Thats my reasoning for a 2 star rating.
