I only recently discovered SOPHA and what a gem!Beautiful studio space, great classes with one on one instruction, and equipment rentals as well.I no longer have to rely on going to Boston. So happy to have discovered SOPHA.

A+ in every category. By far, this is the best way to develop your skills. They have an incredibly wide variety of lighting and modifiers, and constantly rotating sets. They offer classes that can benefit every skill level, and member reviews that give it a great sense of community. Their printing is top notch, as Bud has insanely high quality standards. If youre a photographer, you MUST check this place out. I absolutely love it!

The SOPHA is an amazing place to shoot at and learn. The studio is always clean and very well organized. The management here strives to foster a professional environment and they succeed. I recently took their Kick starter Lighting class and it was exactly what I was looking for. Just enough of the verbal instruction and a ton of hands on time. If youre looking to shoot here, rent equipment, or take a class you wont go wrong. Bud and Dave are easy to talk to and full of quality industry information.

I just joined the SOPHA community literally less than a week ago, and after one Kick Start Lighting Workshop, I know not only a TON more about studio lighting, but I know more about how to use my D800 than I have in the last 5 month of owning it. The teaching style of Bud and his staff is very hands on and completely tailored to any level of photography knowledge.The staff is incredible and is truly genuine in wanting to support new and upcoming photographers in the local area. I feel as though I hit the lottery stumbling upon this place and as a new photographer in the business, I feel so much more confident in my craft and success with these guys in my corner!!!Thank you Bud, Kim, Dave and the rest of the staff for all that you do to support us local artists!!!!

After having taken a number of photography classes I must say that the classes provided by SOPHA studios are second to none. Well-instructed, reasonably priced and the teaching staff is always there for any follow up questions. A+ in my book!

Sopha Kick Start Digital SLR class was AWESOME I cant wait till next Thursday Night. Classroom atmosphere was relaxed sitting on nice comfy leather couches and Bud Thorpe our instructor was funny and very interesting which made the class go by fast. A++++

SOPHA is a remarkable rental studio that brings rental studios to an entirely new level. When shooting there, everything you need is on hand, from lights, modifiers, backdrops and props. If you have questions, the staff is always available to answer your questions.I have had several clients comment that even from their point of view, it was the most remarkable studio they had ever been in.If you are a photographer looking for space to shoot in, this is the place! The cost is very reasonable and there is sure to be a set just right for any shoot. And the sets often change based on client/member feedback.SOPHA also offers some great classes, even as a seasoned professional, I have taken a class that enriched my lighting skills. The wheel. Sliced bread. Space travel. OK, so SOPHA hasnt really changed the world as we know it, but they HAVE changed the face of photography in NH! SOPHA has it all: affordable classes; beautiful and spacious studio areas; friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff; up-to-date equipment. What more can you ask for as a photographer of ANY level?
