Nice airport with a newly paved runway and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Great view of the Memphis skyline once airborne. The flight training is in a busy airspace with instructors that want to help you learn. I would recommend.

Was a rusty pilot. Had not flown in 32 years. Reviewed various area flight schools and found Downtown Aviation best met my needs. Completed my Biannual flight review and decided to go for my instrument rating. Thanks to Jay, Josh, Dr. Ray and the Downtown Aviation team for helping me to achieve my instrument rating and continuing my aviation journey. Great school, instructors and fleet of aircraft.

My son had his discovery flight here and they were so friendly and helpful! Wonderful experience and now he wants to take lessons. We are booking them now! It’s a small place but full of great people and lots of planes to choose from.

Awesome place

Advertised as a “Military Friendly” company to pursue an ATP rating through. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. Save your money and go elsewhere, Downtown Aviation and their unapproachable CFIs are a joke.

Cybil was our flight instructor for our discovery flight. She is young but skillful, has a delightful personality, and was quite patient. We did the discovery flight as a couple and had a memorable blast!
