I earned my M.Div. @ HST many years ago and was well-equipped to serve in ministry. The faculty are top-notch academics who also have real-world ministry experience. There is great community on campus. The library is fabulous. Highly recommended. Loved it so much, I came back to work for the school.

Harding School of Theology is a first class educational experience. The school provides cutting edge training that translates well to effective leadership within a congregation. The professors are personally engaged in your well being and development, through mentoring and coaching. The school is not a degree factory, rather the school is dedicated to creating strong disciples of the Lord that produce strong leaders in the world and church. After 5 years of quality training, I can look back and see the difference the school made on my ministry.

After completing my B.A. in Missions and working in the field for six years, I recognized the limitations of my ability to address key areas of church growth. I needed to deepen my knowledge of God, my relationship with him, and my ability to communicate this knowledge to the church in practical ways. I pursued Masters level studies to address these limitations and to tool up both in theology (my understanding of God and his desire for me and the world) and also in practical ministry skills. My experience at Harding greatly improved my relationship with God, my skills as a servant in His kingdom, and helped me develop relationships with both faculty and other students which has provided for me an anchor and resource over the years of ministry since then. After completing the M.Div., I continued my training in the D.Min. program, again with great satisfaction.

I have had a wonderful experience at HST. The faculty are experts in their field of study, sincere in their faith, and personal with their students. The library is truly a treasure. The staff are helpful and kind. The students come from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, which adds to the depth of discussion and learning. The M. Div. program has helped my ministry tremendously, and I will be forever indebted to this school.

Top-notch education from experts in their fields. When I started without much undergrad work in Bible or ministry, I worried about whether or not I was in the right place, but the administration, faculty, and staff were supportive. When I transitioned from a distance student to living on-campus, they made everything a breeze, and the community on-campus was fantastic and supportive beyond belief. The library facilities are the best for Biblical Studies, likely anywhere between Harvard and the Mississippi if not the West Coast. HST prepared me for ministry and a life of service and scholarship.

This is one of the best, most extensive libraries in the country for theology and religious books. Anyone can get a card and rent a book; you do not have to be a student. The staff is so friendly and kind. It is a gem in our city, and not enough people are aware that it is open to all.

Incredible staff, incredible students, incredible school! HST has gone above and beyond to create a positive, spiritual, and safe environment to learn. I am in the process of getting my Masters in Counseling and after only one year in the program I am so grateful for the personal enrichment that I have received through my time at HST. I am confident that my education here will fully prepare me for my future career in counseling.

HST has a fine faculty and delightful staff. Recent efforts by the school to facilitate online learning are immense! The library there is top-notch, and if you ever need an introduction to campus, to Memphis, or the stacks--go see Bob Turner.

I loved my experience at HST. I was able to work in full time ministry the whole time I was slowly chipping away at my M. Div. I cant say enough good things about the staff and faculty and how my life was shaped by these fine brothers and sisters. So many of them bent over backwards in assisting me in my studies and ministry. The friendships and connections with my fellow students, alumni, faculty and staff continue to be huge influencers in my life and ministry. The education was top notch! Very challenging! I loved it!

I was an student from 2010-2014 working on my MDiv. Harding School of Theology has relevant and knowledgeable faculty members that are skilled in pedagogy. The staff and administrators at the school are second to none, and HST offers a loving, Christian community while completing your studies. The library at HST rivals most theological libraries. I have no complaints about my time spent at HST. It is a wonderful graduate seminary.

A fantastic institution that has high expectations of students while allowing them freedom of though (as long as it is well researched 😂). Rather than teaching me what to think, HST gave me the tools to think well. I would recommend HST to anyone looking to further their theological training.

I attended HST as a distance student, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Not only was the course content challenging and helpful, each faculty member was concerned with ministry, and I have been blessed by continued friendships with them after graduation.

Excellent theological grad school. Teaching how to do good research and think critically are hallmarks of the school, and are imperative for doing ministry well.

This is an excellent school. I enjoyed my time there very much. During those years, I grew as a person and disciple of Christ at a more rapid pace than at other times in my life. The work is rigorous and the expectations of the professors are high, but so is the task for which one is being prepared. I graduated from what was then Harding University Graduate School of Religion (Now Harding School of Theology) a little over 15 years ago, and have spent that time in ministry of one kind or another. I cannot calculate the value of this place to my work. The ways in which God works here are myriad and wonderful. The two most obvious strengths of the school are the professors and the library resources. The professors are strong scholars, and good teachers. This combination is not always found together - excellent scholarship sometimes makes one odd and gets in the way of connecting with students; the warmth and skills that makes one a good teacher is sometimes found in a scholar of mediocre abilities. Not here. The scholarship is excellent, and each professor I had was a wonderful teacher.A graduate education is as strong (or as weak) as the resources that a student can explore. One of the primary reasons that the mind grows in graduate school because one is pushed to do research. The quality of the resources one can and will access has a direct bering on the depth of research one is enabled to do, and this effects the amount of growth one can expect to obtain through graduate study. This graduate program is empowered with one of the best theological libraries in the country. The program begins with intensive training in how to properly use these resources, enabling the self-directed aspects of study to be effective and fruitful. Each class contains a research component that expects students to use the library to learn and grow. When choosing a graduate program, examine the quality of the library. You will find HST is unrivaled, even by competitors that are better funded and have more students.
