They took millions from the feds in Race to the Top money with the ridiculous promise that within 5 years they will put Memphis poorest schools into the top 25%. The schools they (forcefully) took over (despite parents and student protests), remained in the lowest 5%, while ASD wasted those millions. Why are they tolerated? ASD is an embarrassment for Memphis. They are the same fraud as the Recovery school district is New Orleans.

This is the absolute worse that Ive seen for a school district.Why dont the ASD make sure that all policies are followed?Why does the ASD not hold teachers accountable?Why to teachers feel they do not have to follow 504 and IEP plans that are government regulated?Why does the ASD have so many uncertified teachers?When the ASD can answer these questions perhaps the minds of parents who have children in the ASD will trust you and believe in you.As of now thats not possible!
