I know this is a school, but you would never know these were students!! Everyone was extremely professional and accommodating!! My auntie is in a wheelchair, but the students jumped to the chance at helping her from the car, inside of the building, and then to sit down. I appreciate them very much!! Lidia was a complete dream!! I have diabetes and she was so caring and gentle during my pedicure. I will be back!! Great job and please come and see them!!

This was my first visit, my nail service was provided by Aschah H., and my experience was AWESOME!! She was pleasant, very attention to details, and super exceeded my expectations!! She truly won me over as a new client… Thanks, Aschah and you ROCK!!!!

I attended the Black Pearl Nail Academy for my nail instructors license. Great atmosphere and the owner is very knowledgable about the nail industry. I would recommend this school to anyone trying to obtain a manicure license or an instructors license.

I’ve been a student since February 2019. In just a few months, the owner/instructor, Duriya Caldwell has shown me that becoming a licensed and professional nail technician is so much more than just polishing nails. The Black Pearl Nail Academy has an excellent curriculum that covers the theory, practical, regulatory and business aspects of nail technology. Earlier this month, I was able to travel with my class to the State of Tennessee Board of Cosmetology’s bimonthly meeting. I was able to see the regulatory, administrative and policy side of the industry. I appreciate The Black Pearl Nail Academy for sharing the wealth of opportunities and resources for gaining more knowledge of the nail technology profession.

The ladies at my salon and I attended an acrylic workshop at The Black Pearl Nail Academy. We were very pleased. Ms. Caldwell was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot. We had beginners and seasoned nail techs in our class. We all learned left with quite a bit of knowledge. I would recommend definitely recommend this workshop if you are ready to learn.

We went to Nashville yesterday to witness what happens at the State Board of Tennessee. The state boards job is to protect the safety of the public as well as be a regulatory agency for nail techs as well as other professionals in cosmetology. I feel very confident in the knowledge I acquired while on this trip. My fellow classmates and I enjoyed the experience.

On the 1st of April I was pleased to have taken a trip with my fellow classmates an instructor to The State Board of Cosmetology meeting in Nashville,Tn . I was so excited about the things that we’d learned in class that I was eager to gain more knowledge when I attended the meeting. Over all I gained a lot of confidence and to have no fear when it’s time for me to stand up in-front of the board committee.

Duriya is very knowledgeable about nails and whats best for her clients. Ive enjoyed her doing my nails! You will not be disappointed...try her out!
