Seriously considering going anywhere else but tcat for education next semester. Idek what the curriculum is. Ive been in school for about a month. I havent learned anything useful. Cant buy school books because the schools certifying official went on vacation in the middle of certification. That lasted two weeks. Now that ive annoyed them into cooperation, apparently school funds and financial aid are late or have been pushed back due to my certification being processed late by the said certifying official. In addition to this Im being mislead by multiple tcat employees on fund availability. Online payment schedules havent been accurate. Im loosing bill money paying out of pocket and no school official ive talked to moves, genuinely cares, or helps unless i act out or until theres nothing they can do. And Maybe its because of the pandemic bt PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING If youre looking to attend a school your better off anywhere else.

Tennessee technology College is an excellent choice for those who are not ready for a four year degree at the University. The learning experience my son received in dental Technology , Allowed him to land a job right after graduation. This gave him self-esteem and has Provided a path to further his education with the trade he received.Thank you to the staff and educators who diligently assisted him through his training. Excellent school

The school has failed my child and several others during the covid pandemic. A trade school is suppose to be hands on. However to keep money flowing in they had students don4 days virtual and 1 day in class. Then to top it off they did not help at all when it came to finding work. The only one there that was any help was his actual instructor Mr B. He helped my son get a job and then the school decided to let him go. On top of that we had issues every semester with people in the office not doing their job and threatening to kick him out of school. I would recommend any other trade school due to lack of organization in TCAT.

Best truck driving course in Memphis. Youll definitely learn what you need to know to obtain your CLASS A Commercial license and all your endorsements. Great stepping stone to begin a new career. Instructors are awesome!

Ive taken the Machine Tool Technology course and will graduate soon. The teachers have been wonderful, despite constantly having to divide attention to all students.The learn-at-your-own-pace mentality is definitely real here. Ive surpassed students whove been here longer than me as well as have even smarter students surpass me in shorter time. Willpower and respect are your greatest assets here. Id certainly recommend it.Main complaints would be to newer machines with less reliability. But the faculty have been great.

Overall I believe it’s a good school. It’s alot of good courses. It’s just some teachers and office members aren’t on their job as tight as they should be. If they had more urgency about the students as a whole then it would be great. Not all teachers or staff members are like that.

My daughter is currently attending this school. So far, her instructor seems to be wonderful! Her counselor never returns calls, always sends me somewhere else to get answers. I have asked many questions and noone ever gives me a straight answer! Orientation day (the day everyone said my questions would be answered) was a complete nightmare! They tell my daughter to go one place, then when she gets there she is told to go somewhere else. She was told to find her program sign in sheet and intial by her name. Someone had scratched out her name and wrote theirs in. The staff who was there didnt want to be bothered with this. I have yet to see ANYTHING that could even be 1/2 way considered organized. They just told her today that her grant cannot be used for supplies she needs for her program!! It can only be used for the books needed for that program. But that they will give her a refund at the end of the semester! WTH?

This school is very un organized. Want you at school every day all day but when it comes to our school checks they hold them longer than ever. Im in the pharmacy program and I miss my old teacher. They let her go for a worthless reason but the instructor now is fabulous as well.. The pharmacy program is great its just the staff and in organization 😣

Great technical school.

I went here from September of 2018-May 2019.Classroom: My instructor didn’t really “teach” but was available if questions needed to be answered. It was quite a chilled and laidback classroom setting. Curriculum was easy to follow. The coursework was pretty much laid out.Breaks: I really liked that we had our own lunch area at the back of the classroom because, well, there was no way I was going to the main cafeteria with that crowd. These people would not clean up after themselves and were extremely loud and chaotic. No way.Environment: Most of my classmates were respectable peers, however, the students at this school have issues. If you are a decent person that keeps to herself, beware— bootmouth thots run amok and will hate on you for absolutely no reason, hints of racism from foreign students and domestic students will be apparent and students belonging to certain programs will stick their nose up at you. 100% not joking nor exaggerating. Social depravity at its finest.Student Services: Hit or miss. It can be super crowded in there during January, May, and September. Please don’t go during these times unless you want your paperwork “misplaced”. I have no real complaints other than some of the staff seem to be mentally lacking and this could be crucial for requesting your diploma, transcripts or waiting to receive your check disbursements.Overall,Classroom: C+Breaks: AEnvironment: F-Student Services: CDecent, (for the budget) school to get your foot in the door of whichever career choice you pursue.

Every time I come to the business office nobody is here first it was open 7:30am-12:30 then 2:00pm-4:00pm. They need new management cuz this ain’t it

The teacher that taught Office Administration Technology didnt teach me a nary thing. She only got hired because she knew someone. They do not call you back and is very rude over all. I have to go back there because this is the only place that provides the new field of study I want to pursue.

I went here for barberschool and it was an awesome experience. It came with alot of tests and trails but thats all apart of life. I encourage any of you to please get you a trade because in the long run, you will always have something you can fall back on and become your own boss. Take advantage of this opportunity.

I agree with the other low rated review I joined the welding program in April 2016 I have left this school now its a joke the staff was nice but the teacher I had. Had never been a teacher the welding program had gone thru 4 instructors in one before him! We were the only class on campus who didnt have uniforms the equipment was out dated they said September 16 everything will be new but that doesnt replace the so called teacher I havent been in the class room since I started and the man never had a curriculum we did the same thing everyday and if asked for help he would show you little things than walk off or if you ask for help he would say ask another student. I agree there is favoritism over students so PLEASE DONT TAKE WELDING!!!!!

Well I take Diesel Mechanic and its a good course the instructors are very well with giving students on one time and as far as the overall class its LOVE how the my classmates teach each other and we all try to make sure we all know something before moving on . I recently requested my transcript be sent to the college that i want to attend this fall. i was told by the lady in the records department that it will take 7-10 business days. when i called to check the status today. the lady in the records department went on to talk to me like i was uneducated and telling me it takes 7-10 business days. well today is the 7th day. and she kept telling me 7-10 business days and when i again told her that i filled out the form on august 17th - she then stated that she didnt get it until the next day. so therefore i am not able to attend school this fall because of their incompetence. nice to know you have people like that who are supposed to hep people achieve their educational goals. the reviews are correct about this school and their staff.it is now september 4,2018 and my transcript still have not been sent to my school, they must have caller ID in records office because they wont answer my calls and when i call and ask if i can speak with someone else who can help me, i am told no. very unprofessional staff. i hope the lady in records department realize everything you do comes back to you.

They are very unprofessional and unorganized. I did the LPN program and I graduated December 2015. I graduated but I promise I taught myself unless you call reading from the book in class teaching. The instructors are very unprofessional and have favorites when it comes to students. They do things that are very unethical even when a whole class complains that something is not right they take the side of the instructors instead of further investigating issues. Me and my classmates complained to the director of the program, The director of the school, and To TBR and nothing was done Its a fast way to get your foot in the door in the world of nursing but unless you have thick skin and tunnel vision I would not recommend this school to you.

They welding class is Worth nothing,, then we didnt have a teacher but when we got one he is racist ,,, I heard him say the N word many of times. He sit in his office all day,,I taught myself to weld. The school needs to be closed down. Now I have to go to another school to learn welding. A wasted year at that school. He dont do his job and he did not find any jobs for the black people.He wasted our time

I am a student here and I am very disappointed with one of the instructors specifically. He is the collision teacher. I would never recommend putting your car in the collision department of this school. He has had my car for over 2 months for minor body work and today tried to lie to the director and say he only had in for 2-3 weeks. That had been addressed and hope this post will help someone else not get taken advantage of.

Have not had any problems with the school so far.Im inrolled in the pm barbering program.
