I studied Multimedia/Graphic Design from in 2014-2016.Eric Perez is an amazing teacher. I worked closely with the radio program as well. All of the staff were so helpful and encouraging. At EVIT, all a student has to do is work hard and opportunities to succeed will present themselves.

I am graduating from the EVIT Cosmetology program and I could not have had a better teacher than Mrs. Lloyd. She has increased both my knowledge and my passion in the beauty industry and has set my future up for success. I was very lucky to be able to be taught by such an inspiring person!

I havent attended school here, but Ive come to the cosmetology building a few times. Ive gotten my hair dyed and cut as well as getting my legs waxed. I have been somewhat dissappointed, and I came in knowing that it was a school and not to expect too much. However, when I came in to get my hair cut, the teacher was rude to me about the damage of my hair (which I knew about, thats why I was cutting it.) The hair students that Ive seen were alright, but not amazing. Ive never hated my hair after coming here, but Ive also never been wowed. Also, I recently made an appointment and paid for a full leg wax. However, I only got a half. I paid an extra $10 for their mistake. They could be worse, I suppose, but Id rather pay a bit more to get truly good service.

I currently attend the collision repair class. Real world experience is more helpful than most of the things Ive learned this year. So come here with the intention of practicing a lot and not finishing the program. Nine months is too long without any real instruction after the first.

EVIT has the worst customer service. You will be redirected to different departments with no answers to anything. You will also continuously get pre recorded voicemails and never get a call back. No answers to tuition costs or admissions. They have no interest in your success with them... they simply just want your money with little to no effort or assistance on their behalf. Idk how they expect to get students when they operate this way. This is whats wrong with education and public school systems, they dont care at all because its just a job to them. Frankly, they shouldnt be paid anymore if at all, with this lack of interest, competance, transparency, knowledge and productivity. I could get no where with them, whatsoever. What a POS school.

Some reviews on here really upset me. I went to Evita for two years as a cosmetology student and I know the teachers care. They care a lot, its some of the students that dont. I love EVIT and highly recommend it to those of you that want to succeed and are serious about getting a good education on a technical career youre interested in. If youre just there to mess around, I suggest you go somewhere else and stop blaming the teachers for the fact that you cant grow up and take things seriously.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I took the programming course and it was the biggest waste of time and money. Not only did I not learn a damned thing, but in fact I am 99% sure I lost braincells. The computer department is INCREDIBLY underfunded, to the point I had to work with teachers to petition to get better internet for my class! The teacher was an absolute bafoon, who had no knowledge in computers, or robotics and was just out of his mind. When we talked to the VP of the school, her plans were just as stupid! If you are wanting a good education in computers, with good teachers and support this is not the place to go! You will regret it!

Graduated from EVIT in 2000. Attend automotive for two years there. Top notch instructors and programs. Now as a seasoned automotive professional I still talk to my old instructor ( Randy Baker ). I go to EVIT to find skilled young people in automotive to hire and I aid in their apprenticeship program. A great way for high school students to learn a trade and make good money if they dedicate themselves. I highly recommend EVIT.

Graduated in 2016 from the Emergency Medical Technician program. Lovely teachers who were active EMS providers to give us up-to-date training and information. Tons of hands-on experience with the equipment, plenty of time in class for your workbook, studying, powerpoint presentations, and other class-relevant tasks. This organization offers many programs to high school students, young graduates under 22 years of age, and adult programs to fulfill anyones career path. EVIT Mesa main campus is massive and gorgeous! The only problem I had was a discrepancy with the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card/certificate. The one we obtained through Heart Savers INC. via in-class we were told was not valid and we needed to obtain an American Heart Association (AHA) card/certificate instead. State officials came into our class and told us about one week from graduation it wasnt valid. Hopefully EVIT collaborates with AHA to have officials from their organization come in, teach CPR, and obtain the correct card/certificate you need so youre 100% prepared to get hired as an EMT or ER Technician.

I was conveniently expelled after inquiring why They change the curriculum in the middle of class ...... Apparently whats in the written description of the course has no impact on what youll actually be taught or trained on. Seriously do not go to the school theres much better options dont waste your time or money

I was an EVIT student from 2005 to 2008 and ive got to say, most of the teachers there are weak in regards to their skills. Most would not be able to enter the real workforce with the skills they have which is probably why they are teaching. They are out of date. HOWEVER, that being said... the teachers do their best and really want to see those who care achieve as much as they can so they can go on to be succesful in their field. I would say EVIT is a great place for getting the essentials down but from there its either college courses or self taught. I happened to of done both. I would recommend this school for high school students but not for adults who are looking for high quality courses from an expert instructor!

I went here for a $500 upholstery class that was for adults and was taught by Ray Crandell. Evits advertisement of the class and the school admin gave me the perception that I was going to be attending a well-taught class and become a professional upholsterer. Heck for $500 and the low number of hours, it better be a good class. WRONG! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! Youre basically paying them to use the space down there to work on your project. Ray Crandell is too out of shape and in poor health to actually teach or let alone stand up. He cant even get out of his chair to assist you. He just works on his own project the whole time. So there was very little instruction or actually learning about basics and techniques. I could of done the same thing at home in my garage and saved $500. There wasnt enough sewing machines either so I had to wait for someone to be done with one which basically meant not doing anything the whole class. No instruction at all on the sewing machines. In talking with Ray Crandell he never meant this to be an actual upholstery class. He looked at it as a class to bring your project and be instructed if needed. He actually thought they were charging too much for the class. Anyways, total waste of time and money! I didnt even finish because I wasnt getting the instruction I needed to even finish my project.

I went to East Valley Institute of Technology and graduated from the Culinary portion last year. At a glance the teachers can seem mean to their students, but when you take a closer look they arent being mean to any of their students. All the teachers are excellent, they taught me everything I know and Im greatful for what I know now. Not only do I know how to cook, but I now know a lot of things there is to know about saftey and sanitation. In fact I know so much about Saftey and Sanitation that I dodge some resturants that dont go by the code. For example, Hackers Grill in Apache Junction, they dont clean their floors, dont wash their hands after handleing diffrent food and are very mean to their employees and customers. If I had the decision I would put them on a permenent Kitchen appreciation day. The chefs that work in Evit are some of the best, they all have worked in the indistry, owned their own resturants, and now are teaching some of the next generations of chefs in the world. If you are looking for Culinary in the Mesa area I highly recommend EVIT.

I went to EVIT about 13 years ago and the class I took was awful! The coarse was CAD/drafting with a teacher that didnt have a clue what she was doing. All she had us do was copy blueprints, take us on childish fieldtrips to copy and draw 2 point perspective pictures of grocery stores (learned 1&2 point in 4th grade) and wasnt present half the time during class. Some of the other classes that were at EVIT looked awesome and wish I transfered but they denied me to do so. And for last poster, Janice, Im not the type to fool around in any situation and I am truthful when I say the class was downright crap.
